I've heard them classified as Alternative Rock. But tbh I don't get hung up on genres, if I like the sound of it that all that matters to me.

Saw Breaking Benjamin live a couple years ago. Sorry to sound hipster here, but I liked them before everyone heard of them. Imo their music has gotten worse, it seems to be complain-y emo stuff nowadays. Whereas back in the day songs like "Blow me Away", "Breakdown", "Medicate", were sweet and badass.

i don't even really listen to a lot of these anymore, its kinda nice to "dust them off" so to speak.

Not saying we should get everything we want, tbh our lax team isn't very good (we dropped down a division thankfully this year so we might actually be playing teams at our level) but really, Coach buses --------> School bus with barely enough room to extend your toes. And if you can imagine the smell after we get done playing a game.

Maybe my school doesn't dump as much money as i thought. But, why would you pay that much money just to go play an instrument somewhere. The way I've heard it, they keep you on a tight leash so you're not doing anything particularly fun. Also, they ride coach buses, my lax team rides in a school bus with 2 to a seat, and all our gear smashed into the asiles. if there was a fire, most of us would probably die.

Cost my family thousands to go to Disney for I think it was 3 days. I've never heard of band kids paying more than 200 to go to these places.

So I'm thinking my school dumps assloads of money into our band so they can go play places for nothing. Thanks school district.

what do you guys go places for? Like who/what do you play for. @halo: not a fan of football myself, but that's pretty lame. Though with a school size of 355 people you wouldn't exactly have a good selection of people either.

Our football team hasn't been really good since my dad was in high school. Which was like the 70s-80s. Our band goes everywhere, New York, New Orleans, Tennessee, [bleep]ing everywhere. My graduating class is around 300.

Did i mention that our football team sucks, but the school throws money at it like it's a stripper working the pole? Meanwhile our hockey team was state champions for 3 years in a row (i think this year would have been 4 but we just recently lost) and gets no school monies.

My School: Hnnnnnnnng we don't get enough money, and now the state is cutting it hnnnnnnng. Spend 8000 dollars on uniforms for school musical this year. Put in overhead projector and touch screen board in almost every classroom last year 2 years ago hires new football team coach. All he really does is coach football. Promote Senior High Principal to a position at district office, doing something other people already do. Buy new(albeit [cabbage]ty) laptops which half the time impede education since they take forever to do anything and half the time what we are supposed to be going to on the internet is blocked (one per student) each year, doing who knows what with the ones Seniors turn in.
