As for being fabulously wealthy, like Donald Trump rich yeah, it's not common but there are literally millions of millionaires in America, it's not that uncommon. Anyone can be wealthy in America. Occupy Wall Street hates the super rich. So if you took the corporations out of politics the only people who possibly could run for office would be the super rich. As for the federal reserve, NOBODY should get bailouts. At all. Period, stroke, nothing. And stimulus packages have repeatedly been shown not to work. Not sure what you're saying about the flat rate. I think you're saying if it's a fair rate it's fair, but I'm not sure.

I'm pointing out that poverty in America isn't really poverty. If you redistribute wealth, it'll be back the way it is within a year, I damn near guarantee it. because the people who are willing to sacrifice, and do the work to become rich will, and the people who make the foolish decisions to put themselves in the situations they're in will do it all over again. Bank reform I'm not terribly well informed on so I can't comment on that. And if you took corporations out of politics you'd just have the super rich people they hate running for office, because they'd be the only ones with the money to finance the campaigns. As for the tax system, I agree that needs reformed, but I'm in favor of a flat rate rather than "make the rich pay everything". And why should Americans be penalized for being intelligent enough to invest their money, helping American businesses, so that the businesses create jobs, and the investors gain money. Edit: So you think everyone sold their AC, hot tubs, turned off their cable and satellite? I doubt it. A lot. Part of the reason this recession happened is because as soon as people heard there might be one they stopped doing ANYTHING economically.

I didn't even have a bunch of those things growing up. Now let us consider places where poverty is real. Like in India where people take loans they cant pay off and then literally work in quarries for the rest of their life to pay it off. Children work in rug factories in horrendous conditions, inhaling the fibers, and many will probably die before adulthood because of it. Lets not even get into Africa. But no, because the population has been mind-[bleep]ed into believing college is his only way to succeed. And so you go, get a degree believing it will catapult you to the stars, when in reality it's like a lottery ticket for a good job, with no guarantees. And better yet we grow up with an entitlement attitude! So we deserve those nice things because we're average! Yeah! I do my job to an average extent, so I should get rewarded left and right! Or, I do it really well some times, and below average most of the time, so I deserve reward! I see it all the time with people of all ages, and unfortunately in my beloved Navy, and it disgusts me. Another thing that blows my mind is that people seem to think those rich people didn't earn their money. Granted many of them inherited their wealth, so because it was their predecessors who worked hard so that they could have a good life they don't deserve it. It absolutely boggles my mind.
