  1. Good job DK. Three dead clans had to come out and join up to come get you. Shows you're doing what you set out to do. Respect.

Tk is dead to btw :), gratz noneless on a 3 v 1 win, dont wanna take away from that :)

With this amazing intelligence you should app to DK so you could raise their IQs.

    :kanye:

I might do just that. Couldn't hurt. After all, it is my civic dudy towards my fellow internet users to share my vast quantities of knowledge you speak of with those less fortunate. Perhaps DK is the best place for me to start.

  2. I think Zaaps pretty much nailed it. We all say we miss "the good ole days" back when we had trade or this and that. But regardless, the big thing is when we first started. That feeling of the game being so huge. Not knowing what would be around the corner. I, myself, am a classic baby as well. I remember playing with my friends back then before I knew about guides. Everything was new. We shared our big secrets with each other and each day was fun. You'd discover knew things every time you logged in. Now, I basically know the game in an out and if I don't, I just go check tip.it guide and pick up what I need from the GE. We've gotten spoiled :/

  3. Only interesting thing I haven't seen posted is having almost every building/room door unlocked for me. That would be kinda neat.

That in the quickness that the character does skills. I mean walking up to the beach shore line and grabbing a shark out of the shallow then heading over to a nearby tree and cutting a perfectly useable set of logs in two swings, then catching them on fire and continueing on to cook that shark and strip it of bones to eat all in a time frame of maybe 10-20 seconds sounds nice to me.

  4. This was actually a fun one. It even made me pull out my old RS map and scout the terrain.

I would hire up some strong warriors and make an inn in the wildy for tired explorers and adventures to rest. I would have it well protected from the monsters and make some nice money charging high prices for safety through a night in the wildy.

  5. It's only worth it if that's what you enjoy. Don't play the game according to other peoples' standards. Play it for yourself :)

Basically all that's need to be said.

People have set "having a 99" to be this big deal. In my opinion, having nice, well rounded skills like yourself is the way to go. I can't tell you how many people just max out their melee/combat stats and have terrible other wise skills. But yes, it's all about what you enjoy. In the long run, you'll be able to do more spending your time rounding out your skills then spending the effort on one skill and being limited to that. Keep doing what you're doing and the 99s will come in time :)

  6. With the clan world "Smaller" than before do you focus on quality recruits or teaching members how to become quality members?

We've always been a clan about equal opportunity and that's how we will should remain.

Is the quality most clans seek slowing down the growth of the clan world, or could it even be a contributing factor to less people clanning? (Keep in mind there are tons of other reasons to why you may think the clan world is smaller but we're talking quality/expectations of clans when it comes to recruiting)

I don't see this decline, but then again, I don't get involved in the drama of the "clan world". I just focus on Downfall and making it the best it can be.

If your clan does take in new clanners what do you do to ensure that they become a quality member?

We have an active community more than willing to teach them anything they need.

At what point do you give up on trying to teach new clanners and just let them fail/quit/get kicked?

As I said before, we founded Downfall for the community not to be number one. No one should feel unwanted in our clan just because they lack waring abilities. We judge based on character not skill. Anyone found doing other wise in our clan should be the ones kicked.

Do you focus on improving the quality of your current member base to allow some leeway on newer clanners?

We always strive to improve regardless. We do this out of pride for our clan and our community.

  7. 50 Replies :#

@Dragonwood: Stop trolling DF, or individual members. Luckily DF hasn't complained to us over it - don't screw up cause we've already been kicking morons for the past 3 weeks and I don't mind kicking even more.

Shouldnt kick too many because you already pull low 20's , You dont want it worse then that.

Maybe Dragonwood would rather have quality over quantity. I respect a clan that can hold their morals and keep their clan respectful over just recruiting any idiot for numbers. I think there may be a reason you clan hop so frequently. Darkrai341 and his members have been in their clan for a long term period. They have dedication and commitment. Maybe you should look into that.

  8. 1. Would you leave your clan if you felt that important aspects of your clanning experience such as "friends, having fun, community" became deteriorated?

The warring experience means nothing to me. I've stuck with Downfall for this long because of the community and the family feel. We've been close to losing that. I will this clan my everything so long as it remains a clan for the people and not a select few.

    2. What factor is it that makes you stay in your current clan?

    Definitely the community.

    3. In your honest opinion, would you say your a "Number 1" or a "Number 2", and why?

Number 1 with a little 2. Obviously we play this game for enjoyment. If you're not happy, why stay in a clan? That being said, I have never been more happy any where else so this is where I shall stay.

  9. No. PvP should be a personal choice. No one should feel obligated to go there. In my opinion, it limits your clan's full waring potential. As mentioned above, some equipment is not brought to the wars, thus hindering what those members could be doing. Sure, it's fun for loot and a new experience, but it shouldn't be "oh if you don't go you're not a man". Well, myself personally, am not going to feel less of a man because I spend my internet time in one place as opposed to another. It's all about self preference. Like I said, I like a clear win or loss.

  10. I've already asked multiple clans for Adamant armour and weapons only when they request Dung OFF. I LOL IRL at every repsonse.

They can't complain about that request because it's just the same as asking for the items off.

I always hate hearing clans complain with "you only won because you had all those dung items". Well hell yeah we do. I personally have made it my mission to encourage and aid every member of Downfall to get at least one dungeon item. It's really not difficult to get 40k tokens. I have had people who hate the skill end up trying it out and loving it. It's actually quite enjoyable with a good group.
