  1. I have said it before, and I will say it again, Hegemony is based on arbitration, not on complicated systems that include every eventuality...we tried that, it didn't work...now we try this, see if it works, if it does then good, if not then we try something else.

You've also said that Hegemony was too complicated to be casual gameplay, that systems needed to be in place to include every eventuality and use that research system.

Edit: and that ship combat thing.

  2. Icu, killing people doesn't make you a hero

But yeh that would be cool and the pepped up army chance could be done by how well you treat them which brings me onto my next idea which I might post sometime in the near future.

  3. I know its a double post but I think this deserves a double post.

Now, I think this could be a good system for the next hegemony, it may mean a bit more work for the moderator but atleast the figures aren't random.

So there are two countries team A and team B.

    Team A's soldiers

    [hide]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/44/Army.mil-2006-10-04-091542.jpgArmy.mil-2006-10-04-091542.jpg

Notes: Has body armour and a rifle. [/hide]

    Team B's soldier

    [hide]320px-Legion.png

Notes: Hal suit with full body armour, got a vapouriser gun[/hide]

Now its obvious that the more powerful soldier is B so after some discussion in hegemony about which one will win it turns out that the ratio will be:

    1:10

    A:B

So for every kill A makes, B kills 10

Then you work out the deaths.

    B's army is 1000, a's army is 10,001.

Using the ratio to find out how many B would kill it turns out that one of A's soldiers survive.

Also it works if the ratio is 1:1 (a bit unlikely)

It even acounts for adding tanks and such, you just add them to the gross deaths.

The mod can add or change it a bit due to terrain and such.

  4. Archi wasn't mod of hegemony v1 ever, if he was moderator are you saying that he basically entered the thread and became moderator?

I wrote it in the form of a script, did that happen?

Ross: I make an army of super laz0r robots and defences.

    Dusty: I'm conquering a country

Rocco: Kill Kill Killl Killl Killlllll!!!

    Pie: Liquid catssssss!1

    Hex: :twss:

    Doom: Peaaaaaaace.

    Mather: Staaaaaaaaaaaargate!!

    Sere: Hiel england!

    Archimage: Hai Guise

    Ross: Hai, join my MEGA-ALLIANCE

    Mather: Hai

Sere: Hai, BTW ENGLAND [bleep]ing rules

    Archimage: Btw i'm mod now.

    Rocco: Ok sure!

    Pie: Ok Sure

    Ross: yeh!

  5. Please be respectful towards people of different skin colours ~ Admins

    Ok, that was totally faked.

Yes, Dusty does pwn hegemony, i've noticed that he never researches anything even remotely powerful though.

I dislike the aid system "Do this thing and both countrys get money...." shouldn't it just be, you can gradually aid a country but you lose money for it.

Next hegemony i'd be happy to moderate it.

  6. also, with an edited post, i'm sure moderators can see the edit history, so the information will still be there, just not for the general public.

They can't, well atleast I think they can't.

An edited post is still there, a deleted post is not.

Why would you want to delete your 2.5k posts upon leaving this board, and why would the admins possibly want 2.5k posts to suddenly disappear?

I want to delete my 2.5k posts upon leaving this board due to the fact that I don't want people making a profile of me through this board.

Secondly why do admins want to keep them and why does it matter when a person wishes to delete the posts.

  7. Ok say I want to leave the board - I would be happy to delete all of my posts manually but I can't access all of them.

Now, for disrupting threads - you just delete the post as you can edit it out; whats the difference?

For changing moderation, what difference does it make anyway - A person can delete there posts, a person can also edit stuff out of there posts.

  8. i'm..... Chaotic Evil or "There are no savage and civilised peoples; there are only different cultures."

I disagree with Archi bieng placed as true neutral however.

    Political compass.

    Economic Left/Right: -1.88

    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.85

If a new hegemony ever needs arising I believe everyone should start out equal, then you can accuratly measure the best hegemony person and its more fun to choose a country based on its culture rather then the fact its rich.
