  1. Godsword is actually level 75, not even 78 lulz

How i think reqs should have been:

Bronze to rune - like it is right now, we all know theese aren't overpowered :P

Dragon- level 70 ( create some level 60 weapons that are between dragon and rune in power, and have no special attacks, not to make training from level 40 to 70 insanely hard with rune weps :ohnoes: )

    Barrows - level 75

Whip - Level 80 ( come on, it's the best damage per second in the game, level 70 for it? lol no.)

Godsword - level 85-90 ( should update them to be a little faster or something else, so they have a damage per second higher than whip though)

    PVP equipament - level 95

Some random uber pwnage untradable equipament that would be got in a challenge harder than Fire Caves: level 99 ( duh?).

  2. Combat needs update, because there is nothing new past level 78 attack. I believe skills > combat in high level updates, and i believe weapons already hit way too high, but quite frankly a level 138 wearing the same gear of a level 100 is quite sad, the level 138 should have a waaay bigger adantage in items than the level 100, simply because the level 100 problably don't have 1/3 the cbt xp the level 138 has.

    Now, for skills...

I think we need a untradable ores, trees and fishes that you can get at level 99, but once you fletch/smith/cook at level 99 the finished product is tradable. As i stated earlier, the only way a transformation skill would become useful is if either the raw material is untradable or the finished product is.

Well, removing the GE, skillcapes, finished products from monster drops and xp-fabric minigames like pc and soul wars would help fixing transformation skills too, but that would be a bad solution... :|

We need an untradable potion every ten levels ( and at 99 operating the cape), and they gotta be good. We also need some new farming herbs that are untradable, but the potion you make with them is tradable. Profit with herblore winz.

Similar things to all other transformation skills. Done, skills are fixed. Yay.

  3. Well, it makes sense that stronger ore is rarer and harder to find than weaker ore.

I think the problem is monsters dropping large amounts of almost every ore, which makes mining a pretty crap way to get ores.

    True.

But the true problem of mining as a whole, is that Smithing sucks. As long as smithing sucks, mining sucks too.

  4.

I think it took at least a full minute before they would trnasform or start attacking you. So unless you were at the KQ, you'd have plenty of time on them.

I donno, steel dragons, + fire bolt with low mage level...

Also, the maze is so linear its not funny, theres no such thing as getting lost because the game tells you if your going the wrong way.

Well, i dislike that too, but we all know how Jagex likes to bubble wrap newbs, so... i'm not really surprised...

  5. The penguins are taking over the world =o

You know, after that WGS cutscene, the only thing that is actually a threat are the Mahjarrat, the Gods and the Dragonkin...

Slugs, Vampyres, Glouphrie, Red Axe, Sea Trolls, Ice Trolls, Ogres, H.A.M, General Khazard army , Apes, Delrih, Agrith-Naar, Elves, Penguins, Rabid Jack, Rashylia, Iban, Le Faye, Dagganoths, Culinacromancer and all other quest villains you can think of could all be 1-hit by thoose guys even if they all allied

P.s: Everytime i think of a new villain i will edit this comment to add it

  6. The only reason why the price is so insanely high is because of how hard the Corporeal Beast is and because they are an insanely rare drop -.-

And ugh, if there was a full set of that, it could make an attack that would hit 80 hit 1

  7. Divine and Elysian spirit shield are pretty good, more useful than godswords anyway.

But, it's not like it's easy to get one of thoose, i remember divine used to be 1bilhon on the streets a log time ago O_O

When the weapons that can 2-hit people are pretty commom ( it's not like AGS is a uber rare item you can't find it anywhere...), if Jagex make end game weapons that are very strong they will need to make more damage reducing stuff/hp boosting stuff that aren't very hard to get...

  8. Wow, just readed last page, Karvinen didn't win the thread, he wins Runescape O_O

The Northern place ia Acheron, North East is Dragonkin castle ruins,East is Vampyre area, South East is Scabaras ( or cursed arquipelago maybe), South is... well... apes O_o, south west is Arposandra, West is Elves ( and the dark lord Iowerth clan wants to summon, aka Zamorak) and north west is Lunar clan ( idk why their dangerous... but, wel...).

At each point sits a danger, you would be wise to take their heads.

    =D>

    Karvinen, you are a genius.

  9. Well, i'm not even sure if we even killed Iban, i mean...

That doll has the very lifeforce of Iban, it was Iban's soul. And we threw it on the well... Now, the dwarves that live in the Pass say that Iban corrupted the Well turning it to a portal to Zamoraks demonic realms. Perhaps we didn't kill him, but banished him to the realm where Zamorak is?

Also, it was pretty necessary to Lathas to get through the pass, so maybe Lathas though it was a necessary sacrifice in case we killed Iban O_o

Lathas didn't see Iban as a very important Zamorakian anyway, he described him as "A crazy lunatic who believes he is the son of Zamorak".

Pause at 1:30, good elf mentions Zamorak as The Dark Lord.

And to the edicts of Guthix, in the Myreque series Zamorakians and Saradominists are planning to take down the edicts of Guthix. Perhaps storylines wil merge?

Also, don't forget that during Chosen Commander Bandos has a way around the edicts ( the pendant). Zamorak problably have one too, and plans to use it during the Mahjarrat ritual ( or maybe when Zaros come back, we all know he *is* coming back soon...)

EDIT: I'm a newbie Rat Meat to the forum, how do i get the video to be the actual video in the page instead of just the link? =\

EDIT2: Yayz it works! Tyvm Psycho.

  10. Gavati, the Godwars was mainly for the stone of Jas, but a lot of battles were fought for other powerful artifacts, the Godsword being just one of them.

And "The Dark Lord" on Mourning's End is Zamorak. If you talk to a soldier in Tyras camp, he says that if they don't fight Zamorak will destroy them, or something along theese lines... They mention Zamorak anyway

Also, few people seem to remember this, but in the end of Regicide when Arianwyn show us that Lathas is the bad guy, he says himself :

" This isn't a struggles for land or title. It is a war for life, all life.If the gate to Zamoraks world is opened we all die"

Yep, The Dark Lord the Mourners follow Zamorak, The God of chaos.

I believe that the clan Iowerth are elves who follow Zamorak instead of Seren, and they know that Zamorak is coming back ( problably related to the Mahjarrat ritual, or something like that) and are trying to get power to aid Zamorak.

And Iban is not his "real" son, not by blood. Godletters are very outdated

If you pay attention to Underground Pass texts, Iban was not the Son of Zamorak, he was a very powerful Black Knight that was killed, but Kardia revived him as a near immortal being, and he took "Son of Zamorak" as his title.

  11. I HATE how MMG promises high level content and say how they are focusing mainly on that atm, but Jagex is unable of making a Development Diary, or at least saying "Hey guys, we are working on a dungeon bigger than GWD and a challenge harder than Jad" once >.<

What makes me hate that even more is that MMG promises more communication :x

High levels are ranting about lack of content everyday, and all Jagex do is give some promises >.>

And i'm not really sure if Jagex's promises can be taken seriously anymore

Also, this agility update was nothing. It just made training the skill faster, but instead of doing that it should give *rewards* that are *useful*. The ability to train the skill faster is not a reward when there is nothing to train for >.>

And the agility clothes are useless, after the rest update ( which wasn't necessary at all, we had a lot of run restoring ways before it) is not worth training agility just to get it.

  12. meele is over powered as it is for a 99hp pool

And that is why we need hp boosting equipament, potions and spells, or the game will never moove forward again :wall:

Seriously, if Jagex changed the level needed for whip to 75, for Godsword to 85 and PVP equipament to 90 i would applause them.

And i would laugh at the rants on the RSOF

Or jagex could nerf melee instead of getting in the same boat as every other major mmorpg.

Even though i would love to see melee nerfed, this would cause a hell lot of rants and problems >.<

Instead of nerfing one just power up the other. Give some power to defence and to hitpoints instead of nerfing melee.

Range and mage could use a power up too. Though ,range is another skill with no high equipament but can hit pretty high, let's not forget about that -.-

  13. meele is over powered as it is for a 99hp pool

And that is why we need hp boosting equipament, potions and spells, or the game will never moove forward again :wall:

  14. F2p should get more quests. Even though the point of members is more content, f2p is not a demo and it's gonna get updated, you people like it or not. Also, p2p gets A HELL more quests and content, a few new quests wouldn't kill you, would it?

I wanna know who made Underground Pass.

So i can shoot the bastard...

Come on, Undergrond Pass is the best quest in the game, admit it

More weeklies and dailies would not be good, there are already too many

Bork, Juna, Jade Vine, Penguins, Phoenix, Skeletal Horror, Battlestaves, Lumbridge ring low alchemy (lulz), etc

All quests need to unlock are new areas, monsters and give useful items and spells. Nothing hard

The best reward of Defender of Varrock was unlocking the Armoured Zombies Dungeon

  15. I think the new agility overhaul update didn't add to the skill, there should have been more content and rewards added as people level up agility. If agility is the type of upgrades we can expect for skills then it's Jagex again taking the easy way out and not delivering higher level content. Being able to level agility faster has no point if the skill doesn't offer tangible rewards at each level from 90-99. Also why does agility let us dodge some damage sometimes but not while in pvp or pvm, if agility worked with defense to decrease damage with a small defense bonus after you reach level 90 agility it would make more sense.

+1 Jagex MUST make areas that need very very high agility to enter and MUST make a hell lot more shortcuts around to make agility even slightly useful. Instead of making agility training faster and giving random weigh reducing clothes ( which are useless thanks to rest feature/oo'glog spa/) >.>

    [hide=]

This an mmorpg, there is no end game. People who get to 99 do it because they want a 99 and have a personality driven to achieve goals they set, not they want some uber awesome item. The people who complain about high level content usually are borderline what THEY consider high level and want some ridiculous item that makes some aspect of the game real easy.

I never really hear people with 99's in a stat complain they got it for no reason. As I said, people who get to 99, or try for an even higher xp goal, don't do it for anything other than personal achievement. Adding an item for people at 99 won't make more people get to 99 either, unless it's in a relatively easy 99 to get to without much effort (aka can be semi-afk and/or lots of xp per hour) or money such as cooking or fletching.

Jagex' idea of a high level is really what the average player usually gets to before they quit. By adding content to these target levels, they keep these players for longer. There's a lot more players in the range of level 70's in stats than in 90's. and most people with 90's have either paid Jagex there fair share, or will keep playing regardless of updates for some time more because that's just the type of personality they have.

That said, Jagex should fill in some of the gaps, but in general high levels are the minority, so high level updates will be far and few between, but they do happen. Most high level updates get forgotten fast anyway because people just want the next biggest, fastest, and strongest item right away, like because Jagex had one high level content update, suddenly all of them will be.

It really shocks me how ignorant people here are to the fact Jagex doesn't make Runescape for fun anymore, they're a full fledged business now

    [/hide]

... Yes, there is an end game on Runescape. As long as there is a max level cap and limited quests, there is an end game.

And the high levels who want more content are actually people who have no motivation to train at all since most skills are useless past level 85, and are bored out of their mind because all they have to do is GWD, corp,TD's, and finishing a 7 minuts quest with no challenge, fun or useful reward everytime Jagex release one every two weeks. No, they don't want the game to be "just made easy".

It doesn't matter if high levels are the minority at the moment, low levels are overwhelmed by content, they think they will never finish doing everything they have to do at their level and every week Jagex add something to the pile.

While that, high levels are ignored, doing nothing but killing the same old boss for a few hours and talking to their friends.

Jagex need to put more high level content so the lvl 70's ( who are NOT high level, Jagex view on that is so wrong it's actually sad. I think Jagex don't play their own game) have something to work for, and high levels have something to do. Just adding content on level 70 don't make lvl 70's play more, there must have content higher so they think "Man, i really want that level 99 Ultra-Uber-1337-Godsword 2.0, omg i gotta train!"

You know, Jagex should start working on some enourmous GWD-sized *actually dangerous* dungeon with insanely hard bosses and good rewards, and areas full of good monsters acessible only through agility shortcuts ( give a real use to the skill pl0x).

The lack of challenge and danger in this game saddens me

  16. The day i saw a threa by a Jmod on RSOF considering level 70 to be high level, i almost went in-game to try my best getting the xp needed to use forums just to argue about Jagex's view on "high level".

IMO, Jagex should stop making content lower than level 85, unless for finishing old storylines or fixing old broken skills >.>

Even GWD to me wasn't a good update, when i saw they made the *Godsword*, the ultimate weapon with an insane strenght bonus, a level 75 weapon that needs less than 2m xp to use i though "WTF were they thinking?!".

When i saw that they only gace a steam battlestaff to mages in the update, i lol'd

They should make in herblore, every ten levels ( and at 99, operating skillcape) you get to make an unique untradable potion, that only you can use. And make a few potions 85+ which the herb and secondary ingredient used are untratable, so you need to farm/get them yourself to make the potion, thus giving profit.

Similar things to smithing, cooking, fletching, and all transformation skills.

  17. There is no reason why Strength would let you do critical hits.

Attack on the other hand, would.

    Quoted for truth.

Strenght is already good enough, i don't think it needs any update at all. Though, i would like the 99 att weapon to require 99 strenght too

  18. The Maze is the worst.

Crappy rewards and a big waste of my time. Why would you need such an elaborate random event to see if people are botting? You don't.

I don't know about you but I always finish the maze around 70% and I usually end up with great rewards. I cannot quite remember but sometimes the amount of deaths it has given out makes it well worth the time. Besides its a lot more fun than picking a snack or solving a lame puzzle.

    Agreed

I don't know why people hate maze, i rarely even get 70% ( bad luck + me = Lag on maze =\), but i always get good rewards :D

  19. Only thing i can think of is make level 120 hp requires 13m xp just like 99 does atm, making hp xp table and training ways different than other skills.

That would be odd though, i guess "Hitpoints bonus" in certain items would work better for a quick fix at the moment

    Yayz rat meat now

  20. To people arguing 'bout Bandos: The avatar was neither crystal nor aura, it was just pixels Jagex put in there to make him look cool

And the avatar, even though it was pathetically weak, was Bandos. It was Bandos communicating through a weak body. If Bandos used his full power, he would 1-hit our player, Zanik, the whole of Dorgesh-Kaan and possible destroy Lumbridge in a blink of an eye. But Guthix would not like that at all...

Here Movario quotes a book on Guthixian history, telling of a time that Guthix hid the Stone of Jas away, so that it would not be used to usurp the natural order as had been done before. In the Postbags quoted above, the Dragonkin seemed to hint that they were searching for the Stone of Jas and would "reclaim the scales of Gielinor". It would seem, from the passage, that the Stone was used before to disrupt is rule and usurp his "natural order", however from what we know about the Stone of Jas already, this passage may refer to how Guthix HIMSELF used the Stone of Jas to usurp the Dragonkin, who had been entrusted with the Stone. Its a complete reversal of what most people would suspect.

I think that with "usurp" he is talking about Zamorak becoming a god. The gods know Zamorak has "usurper", the Zarosians know him as "Usurper", hell even some Zamorakians problably call him "usurper" >.<

Movario mentions in his notes that Zamorak problably had some sort of item that would help him become a god, because the Staff didn't seem to be enough to turn him into one.

I think Zamorak didn't get enough power from Zaros to become a god, but he found the stone of Jas and used it, but when he did that the other gods found out about the stone and war starts =\

Guthix didn't like that the gods and Mahjarrats were using the stone to usurp and destroy Gielinor, so he hid it and kicked the gods from Gielinor.

All he knew were guilty and would be thrown and displaced from Gielinor
  21. Amulet of vitality: Raises max hp, the higher your hp level, the higher it raises it.

Ring of vitality: Same of the above, but for rings =D

Vitality potion: Just like Sara brew raises max hp, doesn't stack with brew but stack with amulet's and rings.

Vitality spell: Raises max hp by 5% at 50 mage, 10% at 80 mage and 15% at 95 mage.

Any of the ideas here are good?

EDIT: Okay, since this thread is about end-game stuff and not just combat, time to give some ideas O_O

To me, the only way a transformation skill (smith, fletch, cook) can be useful if it either the raw material is untradable and the finished product is tradable ( giving profit, but needing hard work) or if the raw material is tradable but the finished product is not ( so the reward is to yourself only, rewarding the ones who trained theese skills).

I believe there should be things like thoose two after 90+ in all transformation skill. An untradable herb got only with 99 farming, that makes a tradable potion with 99 herblore, and at the same time a untradable potion that only 99 herblorer's can use would be nice. Same for smith, fletch, craft, and hell especially smith, the one who needs update the most >.<

  22. I've seen thread in the rsof of low levels complaining that they are overwhelmed by content

Low levels are actually overwhelmed by quests, there are soooo many low level quests that make them think they will never get close to complete them all, and every week there is a new one

Making high level quests would both give high levels something to do and the low levels wouldn't worry with this one since it would take a long time to get to do it. In fact. high level content is good for low levels because it gives them a reason to train for >.<

Really, there are sooo many low level/medium/even experienced quests >.< around that if you start an account now, by the time you do them all you are already a high level praying for high level quests.

Jagex should STOP making quests that aren't either Master or Grandmaster completely, and focus on high level content only since there is enough low level content to keep low levels entertained for years.

They should only make medium quests for the old unfinished storylines, and that's it.

  23. PVM only items would work. Though, it would be good to have end-game content that is for pkers, so there is a motivation for pkers to train att past 75 >.>

A weapon as fast and as strong ( or slightly stronger) than a whip, but with the accuracy of a godsword and with a better special attack would not be overpowered and would surely be useful in pvm.

We shall call it, the whip 2.0
