  1. Hi

I have 1 more music track to unlock - "Victory is Mine", so I need to get a champion scroll somehow.

I know it will take a while, but I was thinking of killing Goblins in Lumbridge to attempt to get one.

Would this be a good way of getting one, or is there any more ideas for getting one quite quickly?

    Thanks

    FAQ A CHRISTMAS WARBLE

    Hi guys,

Now we've collected your feedback and frequently asked questions together, Mod Edam (our festive developer) has given us all some answers. Enjoy!

"As a F2P I cant put my Skillcape back on after the event I have to take the cape off to complete the holiday event can you make it so that the event can still be completed when wearing a Skillcape or make it so that Skillcapes can be equipped again in F2P its not that we want to be able get a Skillcape in F2P just have the ability to wear it if we have already earned it and purchased it when previously a member."

    Mod Edam:

We didnt realise that this would affect ex members but we wont be changing it. We dont want to discourage players from partaking in the event but ultimately it is their choice. Keeping your P2P items on your F2P is a restrictive game play choice. Further if we were to make this change now it would be unfair on people who have removed their cape to allow them to complete the event.

"I found it quite hard to locate my Imp especially when there are a lot of other players doing the event at the same time Im also pretty sure that people can stand on other peoples Imps making them hard to locate can you make it easier to locate your own Imp?"

    Mod Edam:

This should get easier as the amount of players doing the event begins to thin. Theres not much we can do to make them easier to spot now that the event is live.

I find moving into open space makes it easier to see them. Also try chatting to NPCs as this should bring your imp to you. People who have the ice amulet from last years event can also use that to summon their imp.

"Disruptive players or other Imps can stand on the Ice Queen making her hard to see as she is an integral part of the event can you make it so she remains visible at all times?"

    Mod Edam:

Scourge, the Queen of Snow and the four NPC imps should now be visible at all times due to changes weve made.

If you have problems finding your NPC imp look on the minimap for the yellow square. They should also be recognisable as the only imps not following a player around.

"After the event you can spin the cane and then switch items such as to a Godsword and the animation will spin the Godsword before resting in the hand. Was this intentional and if not please be aware that it is actually quite fun to do and doesnt provide any game advantage please leave it in!"

    Mod Edam:

Ah, that certainly wasnt intentional. Were aware of the glitch and are working on a fix. However, this fix probably wont go into the game until the Christmas event gets removed. We hope you enjoy how it works at the moment, but this isnt how it was intended to work and could potentially create some graphical glitches.

"I have heard that you need to perform an emote from a previous Haloween event in this event can you still do this event if you dont have the emote from the previous one?"

    Mod Edam:

Yep. You wont unlock the trick emote but youll be able to do it in the event. So dont worry about that.

"Why did you use the same graphics from deaths house? Or does it just look similar nice event but I did feel that this was a bit of a shortcut."

    Mod Edam:

They are quite similar. I can only assume that Death and Scourge use the same interior decorators.

"The ice sculptures look so good its a shame they wont be able to be seen soon could you consider giving them a permanent home somewhere in RuneScape?"

    Mod Edam:

They do look nice especially the Dragon. We will certainly consider it.

So there you go, thanks for that Edam!

We'll get you the lowdown on any other FAQs that come up. In the meantime, more mulled wine anyone?

  3. TzHaar Shop Change

Weve had to make some necessary changes to the shops in TzHaar. The reason behind this change is that the link between the prices of TzHaar-traded items and other low-value items (particularly fire runes) was too tightly linked, and were not behaving as players might expect. For example, selling fire runes to a TzHaar shop in exchange for TokKul, then spending that TokKul on an obsidian item, was creating an artificial link between those two items values. Therefore, a 1gp change in the price of fire runes would have a much more significant and unpredictable impact on the price of certain obsidian items.

As a result, although TzHaar shops will continue to sell items to you in return for TokKul, they will no longer buy items from players. This should allow for a much more natural movement in prices of certain low-level items and, in the long run, more predictable changes in price of certain TzHaar items.

To compensate for the loss of this method to generate TokKul, we have added a drop to TzHaar drop tables, so players will find that (again, in the long run) they receive more TokKul from fighting TzHaar (the TokKul rewards for the Fight Caves and Fight Pits remain as they were). This will make TokKul slightly harder to gather, as it requires combat rather than exchanging for it in shops. It is, therefore, also likely that the value of tradeable TzHaar items will increase, which will further compensate those players who choose to fight TzHaar to earn TokKul. The combat focus for gathering TokKul is also more in keeping with the TzHaar area.

  5. 15-Dec-2009 - Blood Runs Deep

The mysterious Lunar Isle rarely gets many visitors, and especially not of the washed up on the shore unconscious, battling hidden demons kind. Eminent lunatic Baba Yaga requires your help in answering just one question: who is this stranger?

Finding the answer to this question will prove to be just the beginning of a journey that will see you delving back into the dream world, rescuing old friends and rallying the Fremennik of all isles, leading them to war against their deadliest and toughest foe a new breed of horror from the deep.

Dust off your armour, weapons and runes and we do mean ALL of them and ready yourself for battle, Farstrider. This day, death (and glory) is upon all who call themselves Fremennik. And to the victor, the spoils, for any adventurer brave enough to succeed will be rewarded with hundreds of thousands of XP, new equipment and much respect.

"Im glad to be continuing the Fremennik quest series and carrying on the prophecy storyline set up in Glorious Memories. This quest has proven to be a different challenge from that quest, though, with a much heavier focus on combat, as befits the Fremennik people."

"Im also happy to be furthering the Princess Astrid/Prince Brand thread from Throne of Miscellania. To get the most out of the storyline, your character must be as they were during that quest, so some players may wish to visit the Makeover Mage before starting this quest. I hope you enjoy it."
