I'm a 16 year old student from the East Coast of the US. I started playing RuneScape when I was 10, and I've played on and off for about a total of 4 years since then. My current account is Skilling Woo, and I'm just trying to have fun with it.

My main interests:

Web Programming- The fun part of Web Development, in my opinion. I've worked on a few projects with some eFriends of mine, but they're all offline now. I'm usually stuck with the back-end work, which is making everything on the website "work" -- as opposed to the front-end, which is making the website appear nice. Take these forums, for example. An example of front-end work would be writing xHTML, CSS, and JavaScript to make the forum user-friendly and look nice (simply put: making the layout, or designing a theme). An example of back-end work would be writing the code to handle the actions that interact with the server, such as posting a topic or sending someone a private message. That's the fun stuff. I've "fluent", so to speak, with PHP and SQL*, and -- as anyone with these interests should -- I know xHTML, CSS, and JavaScript (developing mainly with jQuery, as far as JS is concerned, mind you.)

*Some people say SQL is easy, but if you actually LEARN how to use it properly, you'll know that train of thought is wrong. I've had people call me a liar when mentioning how I've had 200 line queries. Srsly. I have a friend who is a Systems Administrator, and he said his longest query was 1600 lines. 1600!! That's ridiculous.

Software Programming - Alot more complicated than Web Programming, and probably not something I'd want to pursue as a career, but it's fun. The most advanced program I've written was a program that tracked your RS skills, graphed your gains, showed you record gains, and some other stuff. I know Python fairly well, as it was the first "real" programming language I learned. I've messed around with C++, Java, Cobol, Basic, and a few other "exotic" languages, but I just learned enough to do basic stuff. I've been addicted to Ruby for the past few weeks, and I'm hoping to get acquainted with Ruby on Rails sometime soon. I hear it's lots of fun, plus it's a web framework, so I'd be enjoying myself and hopefully be learning something that would help me whenever I'm out trying to get a job at a web development firm.

Relaxing - I'm a closet nerd, in a way. I go out to parties and all that fun stuff about twice a week, and I don't think anyone would ever believe that I have any interest in computers if they knew me in real life. Anyways, last summer my brother got a job at Kinkos, so my friends and I gathered $250 and got him to make us all fake IDs, so the alcohol is never in short supply around us. I have a friend who is renting out a house with two other people, and they usually are the ones hosting the parties. My favorite drink is Green Tea and Vodka, and I love a PBR. I have some strong feelings about Smirnoff and all that flavored [cabbage] -- er, "beer". It tastes too much like soda for me. Anyways, I'm what some call a pothead, but you wouldn't know by meeting me. I do love a good toke, though. The good thing about Greenville, SC, though, is that weed is cheap here. You can get an 8th of White Widow for about $30, or high mids for $15/8th if you're low on cash. I sell to some younger kids (12-13 year olds), and have made about $300 off that. (I buy mids for $6/8th, and sell them as Purple Haze for $20/8th. Yeah. If you know anything about weed, you know these kids are pretty stupid.)
