Lee, we've gone over this, you earn merits during gameplay for not doing stupid stuff and progressing missions, which you then use to buy skill levels. Archi, 1000kT per research point CONTINUES to make it completely useless and impractical. And by extension, doesn't that mean that Researchers could spend their points on funded research by NPC patrons and end up with ten times more money than a Settler? Stealing research would be inadvisable, and likely very difficult in our sector... The only ones who might have significant research unavailable to us are the Kalinka, to whom it would probably be an act of war.

You'll probably never going to find out, because I doubt it will happen in the next hundred years.

I used to play SSB. It got kinda tiresome after a while, and there's no worthwhile community based around it... Kinda glad there isn't. That would be sad. The closest example I know is a nice but dorky kid with a slightly annoying voice who only plays SSBB and brings up a lot of the incredibly lame memes it spawned. Also, throwing knife girl isn't going to SCA practices anymore. If it's my fault I'm going to be pissed, if she just got bored of it then I'll be disappointed, and if she's just too busy now then I'll feel lonely. On the bright side, awesome rocker/tea ceremony/media girl and her boyfriend might come with me at some point. Also I might try hanging out with gay dreadlock girl or ginger buddy over the summer.

Toxicity and conductivity are connected, you say? Why, break out the plutonium and cyanide! Bitter almonds and free cancer for everyone! Power, too!

Archi, I think you SERIOUSLY screwed up that conversion table. :P Lynx, YOU CANNOT SHOOT FIRE WITH A SWORD UNLESS IT'S A SWORD DESIGNED TO SHOOT FIRE. Which would be ridiculous, grab a damn lazer instead. If your Plasma Sword already has the capacity to extend the blade that far, maybe through overclocking or something, then you don't need anything to do it. You may need Swordsmanship skill levels to do it well. Also, Lynx, I might need a few research points, and I could pay you for them. SI, I think we should just give up on the puzzles and try out some more practical method... Researcher starting benefits represent a lifetime so far's achievements, and that is fine, but we don't actually invest anything of note with the puzzles. Face it, we're all more likely to be patrons than actual researchers, both for our own personality and our place as settlers and officers. I say we phase out the puzzles, if not remove them immediately. When is the last time one has been completed, or an individual has even inquired after one? We need a more practical method, while the game itself is lovely, part of the original Space's charm for some of us was coming up with wacky and useful devices to replace or combat more mundane technologies. Of course, I could be misinterpreting, but I don't think anyone wants to be limited to a choice of permanently losing a technobabble in exchange for some paltry quantity of research points or simply going without personalized items.

Campers are predictable and fun to kill. Nova Gas, Semtex, and a Crossbow is all the deterrent I need. ;)

Oh, this isn't hell. It really isn't. You don't KNOW hell until SI goes Nitrous Oxide Simulation Loop on you. Then it just becomes a mindscrew.

Roight, spam removed. I really am a hypocrite, complaining about the advertisement and then derailing things. :D Moving on... Anyone know what I should do with 12,440kT and a Heavy Destroyer?

Mission accomplished! Never let it be said that I cannot cause an individual to leave a room in disgust towards my immature behaviour.

Same here. Sometimes I wish I listened to my dad's computer babble. With his resources I could probably hack at least any mundane system. Too bad, such a wasted opportunity.

Call of Duty 7: Black OPs
I stole the idea of using akimbo Skorpions from a certain jackass Youtube commentator. So far they are  For the first time I'm actually getting almost as many kills as deaths. Yep. I generally prefer BFBC2, but since PSN is down... :(

To hell with AI, all you'd need is a 'bot with a gun, thermal sensors, and programming to shoot any human-sized moving heat signature. Probably would cost a crapload of money and not really do anything, but I assume it would be relatively possible with current technology. Also, I've been thinking about religion recently. Kinda justified (in my own mind) my policy of "Take life as it comes, thank someone for your fortune, and worry about the afterlife when I get there."

Halo, those three things don't need to be mutually exclusive. Anarchy, archery, and PE sound like a pretty good combo if you ask me. ;) I should do archery again, throwing weapons are cool but impractical. I think my local SCA just got their Archery marshall back, so I might check it out. Also, going to get a membership at Planet Fitness this Summer. I'm not really fat, but I don't get any exercise. Or light. Seriously, I get blinded whenever I look at a blue sky. In any direction.

It means sacrilege. Aren't I so helpful? :P Skin as in the very outer layer that is actually epidermis, Lynx, as opposed to the epidermis AND the muscle/veins/whatever else directly underneath. Mather is actually right, for once, thermal is the easiest way to cause pain without actually damaging, hence why some exploration has been made into thermal antipersonel weapons for police forces and the military. You still shouldn't do it, though. We do, essentially, have a training bay unless I'm incorrect. Just ask SI for a simulation. If we need one, I might fund it.
