IMHO Recons are usually asses. If you like to sit out a match dicking around, trying for long-distance headshots, and taking all the vehicles for no reason... Well, there isn't really any place you SHOULD be doing that. Anyways, I DO play Recon, but only using the 870MCS for the sake of leveling it up.

Not sure if it qualifies, or the mechanics behind it, but... Having a jet your rocket is following dive at a 90 degree angle into the ground, make a little explosion, then your rocket hits and you see a mushroom cloud of fire and plane parts. :thumbsup:

Just saying, I have yet to see anyone kill anything with a jet. Also sniper rifles, choppers, and mortars seem quite difficult to use well. I have been killed in under a second quite a few times because of folks who sneak up on me and loose a few bullets with a PDW or other automated weapon. Unlike BFBC2, there aren't really any buildings I've seen that you can just defend. I've seen 2 types of jets flying around, those that are just starting and those that have like 500+ jet kills. The latter of which is shockingly difficult to deal with, especially when they equip dual flares. Choppers are easy to pilot, but are likewise easy to die in, so most of the killing will be done by your co-pilot/gunner assuming you know how to work together. Mortars, I haven't really seen used effectively yet, and I mostly just do it for fun. They'd be much more useful when combined with a recon's MAV. Sniper rifles disappoint me in this game. It's practically chest/head shots or nothing. literally put three rounds in a guy and only got a Kill Assist 37. 3 rounds for 37% damage? bogus. Is this PC? Because you can't do shit with jets on the console versions as far as I can tell. A single guy with mortars and an ammo box probably got 30+ KDR in a short match I was playing a while ago. He just sat in the enemy spawn point, I was the only one to even try shooting him. PS3. I literally just played against a guy with a 813 Jet Kill dog tag. No idea how he's that good with it though. I'm curious as to how no one killed the mortar guy in your match. That's just bad team work. He was far into the 'if you walk into this area you die' boundary, right by his team's spawn, there were a shitload of blind spots where no one could see. Also no air vehicles.
