Pulling an all nighter and sleeping at 8 is better in my opinion. Just don't do that on an important day.

Not really, for me I would just stay up all night and sleep early (7-9) and do that. It's harder trying to sleep when your not tired cause you just lay in bed, doing nothing.

Start staying up later and later till you get to a normal time.

You need to slowly change your sleeping times.
