  1. Wow your statement here (and reason why you were allowed to post here) does NOT follow what your statements are ingame:

"we'll be requiring you to register at the xpwaste forums soon" - So you're just using tif now as a jumping platform to get enough people?

"we kick people for inactivity" - tip.it doesn't do that, so it's not in line with tip.it's policy

"You'll have to show video, proof of quality" - wasn't this about LEARNING/TEACHING? - This kind of defeats the purpose

"we'll move away from tip.it forums as they don't give us too good people anymore" - this is blatantly against what you wrote here, nobody starts good.

On top of that the activity at the xpwaste forums is terrible and not up to the standards of tip.it I believe.

All in all, this is a good CLAN - as a clan it's a perfect one for anyone to go into (if you are interested into dungeoneering that is).

But it's no longer an open community fitted on tip.it.

DGS isn't for babysitting. We're not going to teach people how to create gates and do puzzles. DGS focuses on fine tuning and optimizing dungeoneering performance, not babysitting relatively new dungeoneers.

  2. Apologies as I know there have been a few of these topics lately, but I figured I'd make my own as I'm aiming to max by 2012. Just looking at the most efficient yet cost effective ways of maxing the remainder of my skills (except from Dungeoneering, don't expect to max that too before 2012), just gonna type out my plans and hopefully people can advise me or correct me.

Runecrafting - Will be powerslaying with max gear, Overloads, Turmoil and Cannon for Effigies as I cannot afford to gather more than 50 or so Effigies at Cave Crawlers. Need around 210 Effigies from 88-99, will also be putting my penguin points and lamps from the two elite diarys I have left to complete towards it. Also most likely going to be ZMI'ing for the Bonus XP weekend as I will have all buyables maxed by then.

That works. It's better if you're not 99 slayer of course. Crawlers aren't really that expensive.

Construction - Oak Dungeon doors with SC hammers.

No hammers are more efficient, but I hate construction so i'd do that too, lol.

Agility - I have a few plans for Agility, my first plan is just normal training at Advanced Gnome/Barbarian course. Second plan is just playing Collector at BA to fill my horn and then training as normal, and the third which is what I'll probably do is leave this skill until last, pour whatever money I have left over into it (money from gathering 210 Effigies via Slayer, money from 99 Fishing and money from 99 Mining and money from farming Torstols) and head to Cave Crawlers.

Fill up your horn with friends/good teams, and if it happens to be your last skill do crawlers.

Thieving - Pyramid Plunder to 99, I haven't done the quest for Monkey Knife Fighters and I believe they require alot more concentration/clicking than PP.

PP works fine. Monkey knife fighters are hard to get above 260k with.

Fletching - Magic logs to unstrung bows.

You should do broad arrows if you have the cash.

Hunter - Unsure as to whether to ZMI or Hunt during Bonus XP weekend but I figure I'll ZMI. I guess I should be doing Common-Draconic Jadinkos for this? Currently have 191 Zamorak Favours (3) and 106 Hunter Potions (3).

Do it normally; as someone else said, you get less seeds and less benefit from zamorak favour.

Mining - Gold at LRC with Juju Potions, banking the ores. Should I be using a Pack Yak or a Titan? Urns or no Urns?

You should use your mousekeys or get AHK. If you're banking with jujus you should still use a titan. Use urns but don't fill your inventory.

Fishing - Shilo with Urns/Granite Lobster until 90 and Rocktails with Urns/Granite Lobster to 99.

Barbarian fishing the whole way. There goes a lot of that agility exp needed.

Firemaking - Pyrelord Firemaking with Magic Logs and Ring of Fire/Flame Gloves.

If you have a regular BA team, you could use horn for this efficiently.

    Farming - Yews/Papayas/Calquats/Torstols.

You can easily get 60k+ a day off torstols. Gauge the amount of trees you'll do a day based on when you're planning to max (why get farm exp above 99 if you don't want 200m etc)

Thanks in advance for any input.

  3. ^Magic defence.

Not even close to the magic defense of a leatherbody.

Inb4 comment on how it gives magic defense and is a shield (It's not a practical item at all)

It doesn't give - melee penalties.

Plus, if you wanted magic defence and already had a body and legs, it's the best option.

By body and legs I assume you mean platearmor, in which case you're doing it wrong anyways already. Most people use primal 2hs because OMFG 200M DUNGERS DO IT IT MUST BE THE BEST WEAPON and the -7 attack effects dps by maybe 1% and offers incredible defense. The guardian's ward requires people to use battleaxe (OMFG NO SLASH BONUS). In short, guardian's ward is, under no circumstances, better than any other bind.

  4. uses for personal gatestone?

    Blink

    Grooves

    Lodestone-hoping if you [bleep] up

Safe teleport out if you're a moron

Thunderous if you're slow or have bad internet.

Suggestion for trivia for next week: using your personal gatestone you can do the grooves room and take 0 dmg.

I learnt this trick when i was watching gywn doing that room lol.

    I volunteer to vid this.

  5. The system is fine as it is.

No, it's not. The day someone actually binds a pair of celestial shoes-- or basically anything in the shoe/boot spot-- is the day you can say the system is fine as is.

A 3bo guy had p2h, neck and primal boots+gloves bound. So i guess the system is fine?(and those are legitimately good binds for a person looking to dps the absolute fastest dungeon, only the 2h spoils the effectiveness)

Exactly, you can't go off slots at all lol. There are very, very few games where everything within is balanced and for something like dungeoneering it's near impossible.

Take guardian's ward for example. It's not in the same tier as primal/sagitarrian, so why would you ever bind it at what is becoming the "average (read:99 melees)" level of a person with 3 binds?

  6. Let's put this into perspective:

There's been Jane, Lisa, Kayla, and Kelsey.

First night I met Jane I told her that I was 101 dungeoneering. She slept with me a month later.

First night I met Lisa I told her that I was 107 dungeoneering. She slept with me two dates later.

I never told Kayla my dungeoneering level. I never got laid.

First night I met Kelsey I told her I was 116 dungeoneering. She's now my girlfriend.

    Conclusion: [bleep]es love dungeoneering.

Today on skype, Mr. Obtaurian was listening to me as I explained some troubles to our skype group. When I told of my adventures in which the girl I'm ineterested in is friends with my ex who hates me, he suggested qcing my dungeoneering level to them in response.

We will see how this goes tomorrow.

  7. DGSers with skype are pretty universally great dungeoneers, so if you get skype and join skype teams you're basically guaranteed great floors.

This. Take 3 average people fresh from 148 that just joined dgs, put them in a skype team with Green, Grimy or myself (the keyers who use skype most often) and a wingman and you'll be getting 25 minute floors easily, with a lot of great information for the aforementioned 3.

  8.

Party, makin' love to girls..16 hours a day lol?

Lmfao, you ruined all the seriousness in this discussion .

    ---

Note, you aren't doing any good to 'society' by complaining about them.

Also, since when were humans absolutely required to contribute to an often materialistic and 'stone-standard' society?

If they have the opportunity to play, let them play. Where's the logic in highlighting it in a negative manner?

On another note, it's best if we halt this discussion after your reply to my post due to this thread not being the best of places to have such a discussion, and also since it's more of a place to track noticeable players.

Lol k you might call this offtopic, but do remember that all the xp-discussions and "Omfg this method makes u get 0.1 ms second faster tick second bla bla everything cave crawler slayer list watermelons- talk is also offtopic, seeing the purpose of this thread WAS: "Do you think it is possible for someone to reach 200m all skills?" But.it has become 300 pages of discussing fastest-xp-methods. ;) And I think I can at least try for a little bit to get someone's mind to trigger. Humans weren't born to do 1 thing for 80% of the day too, wether it is gaming/tv/sleep/anything. Be balanced, and "You can be balanced if you play 15-20 hours a game each day" No.

    ikr my english sucks balls

perhaps not for 15-20 hours, but with a 8-10 hour gameplay time, you can get 8-10 hours of other activities a day if you sleep 6 hours, which isn't that bad. (I've been sleeping 6 hours for ages, and I'm a regular runner)

Many of the top players don'tplay that much, and some such as zarfot managed university/work as they played. I somewhat agree with the 20 hours thing, but most of the top players don't fall into that boat.
