could be...after all, look at petey pedigrew, confirmed dead is nothing Either way I don't see how it matters. The note says, "I know I will be dead long before you read this" so him being dead fits perfectly. they also said he wasn't important enough to be killed by voldemort himself so theres a chances hes alive :evil:

no we actually know hes dead, snape is the half blood prince and betrayed dumbledore and no it wasn't a boggart or anything it was the real one, and snape joined voldemort
