  1. BigMcChicken here. Good news: blogging is great. It's 11:20 here; this is usually the time that I wake up. I'm pretty tired: I didn't go to sleep until one last night. Today, I took a break from Puro-Puro and tried out something new: Grenwall hunting. I wasn't going to shortcut and buy raw Pawya meat; I wanted to hunt the Pawya myself. At first, that seemed like a stupid decision. On my first trip, I used 22 papayas for nine Pawya meat. I felt I had lost some money on that trip; a few price checks proved me wrong. 22 papayas: ~36k; nine raw Pawya meat: ~45k. I wasn't losing money, and I was getting more experience than I would if I bought the meat, so I was pretty happy with the results so far. I took a second trip with 22 papayas again, and had even better results: 13 Pawyas trapped. That was all of the Pawyas I needed. I gathered my things and went out to the Grenwalls by Prifddinas. I thought catching Pawyas was moderately difficult! Grenwalls are a pain. Given that my Hunter level is only 78 (81 with a hunter potion), I was at a slight disadvantage. Nevertheless, I caught five or six (I was distracted most of the timeI didn't keep an accurate count) Grenwalls. My final results: 119 spikes @ ~141k, one ranarr and one avantoe @ ~14k for both, plus the experience I got. I was very satisfied with the experience; unfortunately, I didn't keep track of how much I got. Well, that's all for now. It's now 11:40. Time for me to have lunch. I'll still be playing, and of course, blogging my experiences. I just concluded the entry, but I have something that I just realized that I want to share. If you haven't noticed already, I'm a hunting nut. I haven't said this yet, but I'm also pretty wise with my money; I'm not cheap, I just don't spend it like a madman. You'd assume that this hobby and characteristic would reflect my actual self, but it's actually the opposite: I hate hunting and I spend my money sort of freely (once I've accumulated a bit, usually a few hundred). It's a kind of off-topic point, but I think it could be studied a bit. Is it merely coincidence, or am I sub-consciously fulfilling myself? Who knows. Anyways, I'll be back later to blog some more. If you have any in-game material you'd be interested in me covering, you can message me in-game (Lunula is the display name) or send me a message on here. If I find the request interesting enough, I'll check it out and blog about it. -BigMcChicken
  2. Well, hello everyone. I'm BigMcChicken. You can call me Big, MC, or Lunula (display name). I've never blogged before, if you can't tell. It's pretty late here and I'm tired as poop, so I'll probably post a more introductory-oriented entry when I've recuperated. I had a pretty exciting day. Not really. It's the second day of summer break and I'm already bored out of my mind. Figures. I got on Runescape around 12 (EST) and decided I would go imp hunting at Puro-Puro. Bad idea. So many thieves in that D & D, it's ridiculous! I logged out quickly before I ended up doing something stupid. With nothing to do, I could feel my mind melting. I sat ... and sat ... and sat. I didn't realize I was so bored until I was actually doing calculus for fun! What the hell? Hours passed. I started coming up with ideas/suggestions to post on the official forums, but I couldn't compile my information in a good enough manner. I finally gave up and decided to play Wii. I just started playing Metroid Prime 3 again; I had it since it came out. Back then I couldn't stand the controls, so I never played it. Recently, I fell in love. I didn't get to play it because, for some odd reason, my eight year old brother decided to take it to his friend's house. The kid has never even played the game! I ended up playing Modern Warfare 2 (meh.) for a while. Then, I got back on Runescape. I played for quite a while, be-bopping (heh. I like that word) around doing whatever I thought about. I tried out Castle Wars; it didn't appeal to me. I farmed a bit. Then I came back to Puro-Puro. One part of me screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU MORON!!" while another part said "Many moneys from here, you will get." I had a pretty good round: 12 Magpie Imps and 5 Ninja Imps. I took another break to eat dinner. I logged on again and fished a bit. Then, late at night, I had a revelation. I went back to Puro-Puro, but this time I didn't take a typical "go for the gold" trip. I took an easy, relaxing stroll through Puro-Puro. I helped out people by scouting, snaring loose imps, etc. I caught a few of my own, but not what I usually get. That trip made me realize that those money-crazed trips I had before were all for naught: I wasn't actually enjoying imp hunting. It wasn't until I took a step back and played for not only myself, but also the other players, that I could say I truly enjoyed that Distraction and Diversion.
  3. While the idea is good, Jagex doesn't like to emulate other games; sadly, Blizzard is releasing Archaeology in their newest expansion.
  4. If you've finished The Fremennik Isles, train on Yaks. If you've finished Biohazard, you can use King Lathas' training area. There are ogres in a cage. For both of these, wear your best ranged gear and use throwing knives, if you can get them. Another alternative is Fire Giants during/after finishing Waterfall Quest.
  5. is bored out of his mind.
