Get cleaned 2. Vow to never stake ever again! (very important) 3. welfare tds and get claws 4. kill glacors til i get boots 5. bandos ffa or more tds til i have around 50m 6. realize that it is far too hard to rebuild using steps 3, 4, and 5 7. give up the vow to never stake again 8. go back staking and make your bank back 9. if you failed at step #8, Go back to step #1 10. if you succeed at step #8, you will eventually feel the need to make money for rich people stuff, have a bad day of staking, then get cleaned anyways You are currently on step 10, near cleaning time :D

May I ask how? I'm STILL recovering from losing my bank 6 months ago. Well its kind of a viscous cycle...when i say ive been cleaned 24 times i really do mean 24 times (gambling addictions ftw) so I've rebuilt many many times basically this is how it goes: 1. Get cleaned 2. Vow to never stake ever again! I use a row at glacors and i've gotten 5 steadfast boots, and 1 glaiven in 125-150 shards worth of kills :D. I think your row is cursed :P you should buy a new one lol

this is my first time posting in a few months...haider Very productive day of scaping today: duo ls'd claws then when to glacors and got steadfast boots in 2 kills :D that makes steadfast boot #5 in about 1500 kills <3

You basically just said that if coins are half heads and half tails, the average person gets heads 3/4 of the time. If the drop rate is 1/256 (wouldn't be surprised personally if that were the case), then it's 1 per 256 on average. Im simply just making a point that I know a lot more players that aren't as lucky as the previous poster was. Granted i realize the players that are dry are likely to complain more and we wont hear a peep from the players that are lucky enough to get 3 in 400 kills. Either way I'm just saying that not everybody is going to make 100m from boot drops, some might not even get a boot drop before getting a staff because they are that rare. Therefore, if the staffs are only worth 40m, some players wont profit much from killing glacor until they get the staff

Man, that blows. I remember when While Guthix Sleeps was released, something similar happened to me. I didn't have the herblore and farming requirements at first, so I had to spend a few days getting those levels. Once I finally finished the quest and got my dragon armor piece, they crashed majorly in price the very day I got mine!@! I missed out on 12m, and damn I was pissed. Some Numbers: - 1 shard every 10 kills - 40 (or more) kills an hour - 4 shards an hour - 25 hours for 100 shards - 100 shards = 40 mil - 1 shard = 400k - 1.6mil an hour plus more from boot drops and elite clues - 40 blue charms an hour - Ton of magic/hits/def exp/hr you forgot to mention that you use approx 30m in runes and pots get a staff plus for the average player boot drops come only 1 in 750 kills making getting only 40m from the staff a waste of time because you will only make like 10-30m for 25 hours of work yea...great money maker[/sarcasm] For me, I get boots 1/150. So I made more from the boots. (105m to be exact) Also, with RoW, shards are actually around 1/7.5 to 1/8 drop rate I also did a trip where I figured out how many glacors I could do in an hour using the steel titan method, I pulled 52. However, this was no looting (except shards, effigies, and boots) and 100% focus so I could determine just how fast I could kill them And now that I look at my bank, I'm okay with this, though that extra 54m that I lost (it sold for 46m) coulda paid off 99 con or something. [hide][/hide] you got very lucky though (im actually kind of jelly tbh lol) I did 650 kills with a ring of wealth and got only 1 pair of boots. I also know somebody that killed 1100 glacor, got their staff, but got zero boot drops. And i know another player who killed 900 before getting a boot drop so its safe to assume that boots are super rare. like 1 in 250. which means the average player will only get 1 boot drop per 750 to 1000 kills

Meanwhile - other people go 450 kills dry. Be happy! :) 425 kills dry atm and my drop rate on shards is like half of what everyone elses is -.-

Closing on 300 kills. Loot: 3 effigies, 0 boots, 24 shards.. Are they even dropping boots? i got steadfast boots on my 3rd ever kill like 4 hrs after the update came out, sold em for 50m. but now im 250 kills dry, 6 effigies, 17 shards, 2 dragon maces, 1 elite clue lols meh at least i got something :D

Agreed, leaving unstable out just gives more to worry about. Prayer drain is no big deal when there's a fairy ring to Zaranis literally in the same chamber, and bots made sure prayer potions are as cheap as dirt. actually I used to kill sapping last then switched to killing unstable last. The glacor will only start to heal after a couple minutes, and since your hitting 500-900 very often, 9 times out of 10 the healing wont give you a problem. plus I noticed that the sapping mini will take away 10 prayer points per hit but the glacor itself saps away even more, i think maybe 30 or 40 which is significant. Im easily using 3-4 less p pots per trip than i was before and kills don't seem to be any longer

Wow thanks for the tip, now i can just keep bandos on the whole time =p. I've been hybriding melee with mage, ahrims + sol and farseers for phase 1 and 3, then switching to bandos + cr + defender for the minis (ive found melee is much faster for killing minis). Btw how long have you killed for that many shards? ive killed about 80 and have 7 shards and 1 pair of steadfast boots so far.

sagaies are pretty epic if i do say so myself. using ovls + rigour + void i maxed 696 so far on jadinkos >.<
