Ive lately discovered a pretty fast way to train woodcutting with good xp gains and profit too. In Varrock there is a tree farm patch where you can plant your own tree and chop it. Right next to the farm patch is ivys. So what I have done a while now is that i plant a yew tree there (of course you can use whatever tree you can or and want to plant there) wait for it to grow. After that chop it down to a stump. While waiting for it to grow back chop the ivys right next to it. This way you keep getting continuous xp and profit. The only break from the xp gain is where you bank your logs. Also because it is just your own tree, there is no one else to chop it and sometimes can even get a full pack of logs by just one tree!
