for me, the fastest 2 years ago, is IF you can craft Dueling rings and charge them.... then back and forth from dueling ring area to make Fire Runes then to Castle wars to the bank chest, then return. as long as you have good supply of dueling rings, each is only worth 4 round trips other than that, if you have 3-4 ammies of glory, and have completed Heroe Quest, then sure great, the suggested is to use edgeville to abyss to highest rune you can craft, return edgeville bank and repeat. Far faster than running back and forth to ANY rune spot without abyss.
  2. What I did 2 years ago, collected all the seaweed possible, form any location, preferred was close to barbarian shoreline, doing in 300 piecemeal. cook them at thieves training, gather 300 buckets sand at Yanile. make my glass normally was falador, but recently is a bit closer at Zanaris, 1.3 clicks bank to forge, and back. Then blowing the 300 orbs. the closest orb location to convert if you wanted was edgeville dungeon to the I think, Fire orb. Like I said, been a couple years since doing that. Making orbs is fairly decent and can shorten that by buying the seaweed in amounts you want. as for the sand, buy up enough buckets from garden stores, and go to Yanile, super close to bank, 2-3 clicks and return.
