Oh, and on topic... uh It looks like S U O M I is going for another 200m!

Eye cancer? Arthritis? Schedule forced him to quit? Depleted? Hated? Purple sweets? Sorry, will you STOP posting information that isn't true? Your posts only prove that you do not know him. Many of his vids are in fact not how he trained, he was just showing what was possible via the game mechanics. While he may have undoubtedly tested purple sweets, he even has said himself he didn't really train like that and used fishing when he needed some quasi-afk time. Firemaking backwards is huge and many people use it. Saving time is, of course, the benefit in the end. Which should be an attractive quality for anyone. Perhaps you may interpret his videos as whiny, but they are actually an intelligent comment and argument for and against things in RS (and IRL). It's in a form that you obviously don't appreciate, but it still can be very enlightening.

If you simply think wit, mockery, humor, sarcasm, etc. are disgusting, then you are entirely missing the point of them. He changed how I played the game to get 2376 VERY quickly. He changed the way I think about time management in RS and IRL. Does this mean that I wish I were him? Of course not. In no line of logic do these things imply that. It's a rather cheep, nonsensical shot. And you think his type of 'wit' is disgusting... Zarfot pathetic to quit the game? Zarfot not being anything IRL? Zarfot not enjoying the game... AT ALL!? Zarfot's mediocre guides and tips?! Useless?!?! Social incompetence?!? Screenied tbh. Fine, you don't have to respect anything anyone does whether others consider it deserved or not, but nearly all of the things you outlined in that one paragraph are simply ignorant and false. I really don't know how else to put it.

+5 years - 2 things. First, it has already existed 10 years and 5 more isn't too unreasonable. Second, who spends 18 hours a day playing a game that is hopeless it will last just a few more years longer. Yes kids, take a lesson from drumgun here. Use dem math skills for better things than RS, lol what a waste. btw wuts maths lol idk i just going 2 keep playin rs cuz doze crosses and dashes and stuff dont maeka sense 2 me. ppl who do math go to harvard obviously and those who dont obviously nolyfe a game that won't exist in 5 years. obviously. Slaying obviously has nothing to do with combat in any way lol whered u guys get that idea r u stupid. obviously it's just a matter of preference. It is a well known fact that it takes no more skill to learn the best ways to kill a set of 20 monsters as opposed to just killing abyssal demons.
-
Yes it's terribly difficult to gain ranged xp and 'especially' construction xp without changing your combat level.
-
Welcome all new users to the 200m in all skills oops I mean holy church of drumgun interview and adoration thread.
-
Sorry, I can't resist today. No, it obviously appears from his activity in the past few months that he is clearly going for 200m slayer and 200m attack.
-
Obviously he doesn't. Why else would he be super excited ("XD" "woop woop") if they raised the cap? Obviously he would be super excited about the fact that he didn't collect thousands of charms after 200m so he didn't have to get all of that extra XP. O wait...

That Thomas Edison was an idiot. Nowadays we know everything about light bulbs. We know 1000x more information about them than he did. There are thousands of people nowadays dedicating their careers to the advancement of light bulbs and technology of that kind. Thomas Edison worshiping is a bunch of BS. He had no competition at the time. Quite pathetic indeed. Moving on, Zarfot wasn't that competitve. He got 200m prayer because he saw an opportunity and liked the training (very clicking intensive). After that, he just trained whatever he felt like and didn't really have any definite goals. It's as casual as it sounds. But ask yourself, if 200m everything is your goal, training all skills a little bit at a time is the most efficient thing to do (as you get more benefit from updates). You can say suomi is truly a mastermind for his keen anticipation and he may have timed mining, agility, etc. just right, but it's really for the present time. In the next few years, the speeds will increase for these (either by finding new methods, or Jagex launching something new, both of which have happened time and time again since jan 4 2001). Suomi will have lost hundreds of hours of training in those slow skills because he chose to do them so early. Yes, truly a mastermind it seems. O wait... Additionally, training slower skills to 200m is more dangerous because when updates that come out that double (say agility goes from 65k to 130k or w/e xp/hr which is likely in the next few years), good fight you've just wasted 1500 hours. Whereas, if herblore doubles (which I guess you could use the most recent example with overloads (averaging with preping for the pot) doubling to roughly 750k xp/hr), good fight you've just wasted 250 hours. EDIT: But o wait I forgot the only thing that matters in the universe is how many hours you can incinerate grinding at skills changing a bunch of 1's and 0's on a computer server in Africa. But really, the only way to play RS efficiently is to wait for an update that will raise the speeds of skills and not play until then thus gaining 0 xp/hr in all skills but nolyfing the scape of the IRLscape for all eternity. Gud fited. Only way to win in RS tbh.

Obviously being efficient in the light of paying full attention to RS is not fun. Obviously Zarfot quit because he ran out of things to do that require his attention. Or if that were the case, obviously playing the game as a challenge for intensive skilling is not legitament and the only thing people play RS is for is lot of XP in all stats. Obviously there is 0% chance that Zarfot quit for anything other than because he refused to take it easy and play for enjoyment. Obviously there were no real life conflicts, things he was more interested in, etc. Obviously the goal of every pro-'efficiency' guy is to get as much XP in every stat as they can. Obviously the goal of every RS'er is to play the scapes of the RS and [bleep] as much XP as they possibly can until the day they die as that it the only legitament excuse for quitting. --- Can't speak for many others but myself. I am probably one person you would consider one of these :rolleye: people. My goal was to max 2376 in as little time as possible because I didn't and still don't have a lot of time. After 155 days of play time I was done and had really no interest in playing (until dg recently). Yeah, almost all of my stats are at 13m xp still and to someone with 2b xp, you would probably throw me into this category of people who think they are pro and efficient but in the end are just people to laugh at, rolleyes, etc. But I can hardly be put into the same category. People play RS for different reasons. Some play for the challenge of engaging game-play. So there's no reason to cut ivy and AFK/play other games/homework when you want the in-game challenge of cutting teaks/alching logs, etc. On the other hand, you play for the accumulation of as much XP as possible. They are both legitament and can be mixed obviously. Some play for ranks, others for XP/levels/etc. But to role-eyes at one or the other is just simply ridiculous. It's like trying to judge football to the rules of olympic swimming, or trying to judge Lady Gaga according to the standards of J.S. Bach (or visa versa). EDIT: Yeah, I realize this is about 200m, but I say this because I feel obligated to defend myself and a lot of my friends and community who hold these ideals. The sentence "Just find it funny how majority of the pro-'efficiency' guys have no stats themselves... :rolleye - I simply find a bit outrageous. I mean, to really say something that condensending, you would have to think that every person in RS is attempting 200m in all skills.

This thread is hilarious because everyone is arguing about something but few people actually know what they are talking about. Keep it comin'.

Or even better, why 30-47 and not 29-47 or 31-47? I can only speculate, but I'd wager that it's more arbitrary and less calculated. It looks good on paper, although it may not be the best. It seems, though, because of prestige and the fact people generally want to spend less time c1ing and more time doing larges, that the interval (25-35, 30-47) gets bigger. People occasionally reevaluate the standard, but 30-47 is here to stay. (People already speculate the range when warped floors are here, before they are even released!) You can actually get 40k+ XP from floor 1 up with prestige 47 (they are not as easy as you may think, though). But standards are good and inevitable because it makes it a bit easier to find a team. Pro OT.

It's on topic. Sterotypes, polar opposites, it's all quite childish. Spending a few years playing RS all day can ruin your life? What a joke. Sure, you may miss a few opportunities but there will never be none. And for the people here act like the ultimate life is getting laid all the time and passing on your genes... How ridiculous. Hormone-driven, Immediate-pleasure, simply childish. And as far as passing on genes, get real with yourself. It's not that hard and we live in the 21st century. There are already too many god damn people that live here and if you want to influence people or pass something on, you're much better inventing something, or being famous. It doesn't really matter anyways, though, because in a few thousand years 99.9999999% of people's individual accomplishments are forgotten and erased because history simply doesn't have room for this stuff.

It's all about 200m in all skills.
-
The efficient way is only to spend them on slower skills. Because efficient players will never have money problems so the choices are obvious. AGILITY or Crafting Construction or THIEVING Cooking or FIREMAKING FISHING or Farming Fletching or WOODCUTTING Herblore or HUNTER MINING or Smithing RUNECRAFTING or Summoning And an efficient player would spend the lamp on the slower skills (normally slayer, agility, rc, though RC seems like the best if you were going for 200m in all skills)
