  1. I will be buying a bond just to do this quest. I started playing back when underground pass was the furthest the whole quest series had gotten and it was by far my favourite quest at that time. Gotta finish it for nostalgia purposes.

  2. Life update

    Wedding Shit

    Venue : check

    Caterer : check

Fiance has a dress : check

    Photographer : check

    Groomsmen : check

    Bridesmaids : check

Flowers : work in progress (I don't really care to be honest, this is her ball)

We're close to being done with all the big things, just sending out save the dates/invitations, and getting the lawn games and I think we're set (although I'm sure theres a ton of shit that I do not know needs to get done that she is taking care of).

Morning wedding with lawn games instead of a dance because I and my bride to be hate dancing.

Games-wise I've just finished bingeing through all of the Batman Akrham games which are amazeballs. Not sure why Origins got all of the flak that it did outside of them using the Joker as the main villain again, and even at that I never felt like Joker was the main event, Bane was where I felt the most animosity and build up to. City was by far my least favourite simply due to the overthetopholyshitwhatthe[bleep] factor of finishing the riddlers sidequest. Of the 61 hours I've spent on it I'm sure almost 30 of them was spent just finding riddler trophies and other stupid shit. Oh well.

I'm not sure what to work on next, I have all the crysis games that I haven't touched but the controls seem clunky and frustrating. I have Prototype 1 & 2 which I think I'm  the most likely to go through next. Other options are E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, Deus Ex : Human Revolution, Just Cause 1&2, Skyrim, and Final Fantasy 7 (I did not own a playstation so I've never actually played it).

  3. Thanks guys, do you have any rather decent guides about herblore habitat? i kinda have a little understanding about it.

    http://forum.tip.it/topic/281681-herblore-habitat/

Best guide there is. It's really simple once you start doing it.

Thieving I would focus on PP instead of blackjacking because my wrists can't take it. If you haven't unlocked the circus thieving event you should.

For crafting I would put in orders now for feathers and coifs, make a 1:1 AHK script and make feather headdresses for 400 k exp/hr. It just takes a while to fill the orders but it was like 4 gp/exp when I did it.

I would just do fish flingers 2x per day for ~40 k exp while you're working on thieving. Use your divine locations on woodcutting.

  4. ^ I would remind you that Wands/Orbs are task-only, so should probably not be included in expected profit from them.

I don't want to comment much about the XP rate at Abyssal Demons as I don't know what Witchy's tactics are there, but I've found corralling a group of them and using Berserk -> Flurry can be quite effective, probably far moreso if you're only picking up major drops.

Forgot that they're on task only. Basically my strategy was the same as yours. I would use assault destroy while waiting for berserk to come off of cd, hit 4 demons, berserk, adren pot, basics to threshold and then flurry. I had dual drygores and full bandos armor with max crit bonuses for my other slots.

  5. Compared to royal they are only marginally better dps, someone else will have the actual % but I'm confident it's not worth it in terms of an "upgrade" Death Lotus darts on the other hand would be.

  6. Let's consider chaotic & drygore rapiers.

    Accuracy

Make sure to wear melee body + melee legs. Only these items affect accuracy!

100% accuracy for chaotics is when your enemy got <161 cmb (class ranged)

100% for drygores raise the enemy's combat to <173  (class ranged)

And when we fight against the 198 cmb, there's 75% hit chance for drygores and 64% for rapiers. So in overall when you fight bosses (let's say they are 198 cmb) then drygores are better in accuracy by 17%.

    Damage

    Drygore:

    Damage 1102

    Accuracy 2458

    Chaotic:

    Damage 980

    Accuracy 1924

    Let's say, we got:

    99 str,

    overloads,

    no prayers,

    full torva armour,

chaotic rapiers, drygore rapiers. (doesn't matter, can be longs too)

After some math it looks like this:

warrior ability damage for chaotics is:

    1.5*116+980*0.7875+490*0.7875+81.4 = 174+771.75+385.875+81.4 = 1413,025

    and for drygore rapiers:

    1.5*116+1102*0.7875+551*0.7875+81.4 = 1557,1375

Difference between them is 10.2% in dps

So, in overall, when we consider fighting bosses (198cmb), our accuracy raises from 64% (chaotic) to 75% (drygore), and damage raises by 10.2%.

It means, that drygores are better. From 10.2% (161cmb and less) to 29.2% (198cmb)

Thank you :) I'll keep this in my back pocket next time the question comes up.

  7. Frosts are over 250 k exp/hr

Abyssal Demons are 300 k + xp/hr and with a 1/1024 chance at an orb/wand/whip you're looking ~3 mil average between those three drops which is 1 mil per hour not including any other drops. Plus you can urn the ashes to work on rounding out that 98 prayer to 99.

If you want profit I would melee bandos though.

  8. Don't use revolution.

    Use adrenaline potions.

Berserk through phases 1&2 or 4

    Stall adrenaline between kills.

Use an aura : Penance = no need for prayer besides renewals, Vamp = much less rocktails used.

Use a vamp scrimshaw. Any time you can avoid eating you'll spend more time dealing damage.

  9. Great answer, thanks gago!

What about other equipment? Like is fury, barrow gloves, and zerker ring still ideal? Ranger boots and archer ring for ranged?

Armor is now broken down into all/hybrid, tank, and power armor. No armors give accuracy boosts and most of the ones that did pre eoc are now tank armor and fairly useless (such as the ranger boots). Some pieces give crit bonus which is helpful for dps, the archer ring (i) is the best in slot ring for range crit for example. Fury is hybrid and gives crit for all 3 styles which is only really useful at DK's tribrid and TD's hybrid, and even then some will opt for more crit from the extra switch with the best in slot necklaces.

A good bet would be to go for the GWD sets (arma, subjugation, and bandos) as they are the highest level power armor that doesn't degrade and for general pvm are more than adequate. For weapons anything that is level 70 you'll want to stick to using that style the monster you're fighting is weak against. At level 80 gear you can ignore most weaknesses except for high level monsters (such as zil who is weak to magic) and specific weaknesses (gano creatures have to be maged, ascension has to be ranged). At level 90 gear you can ignore all weaknesses except for gano and ascension.

  10. Hi,

I'm sure this topic has been brought up before, but was just wondering I'll ask it in a context to how I play runescape.

So currently, dual drygore maces have come down far enough in price for me to afford it.

I mainly use melee for casual slaying, I'm in no rush really and not obsessed about efficiency. I will occasionally do PVM. I have bones banked for 92 pray. Have 96 summ and 99 herb, 91 in melee skills.

I currently have chaotic claws and full bandos. Is it financially worth getting the maces, or should I spend my money elsewhere? E.g saving for 95 pray. I have other tier 80 weapons in the other classes, should I save for nex equip? The only other thing I can think of upgrading is wand of treachery to abyssal wand + orb.

    Thanks

Someone did the math a while back, I want to say I remember it being ~12.5% better on anything where your accuracy is the same as with chaotics, and better still on anything that the extra accuracy is needed. Seeing as melee are your lowest combat stats I would say get the drygores and go do some pvm for more cash for 95 prayer.

  11. Just let it be noted that this is in all likelihood a bug and would get you undesirable consequences if/when Jagex finds out about it and patches it. This of course is more likely to happen now that its been posted on these forums which mods sometimes come to view.

  12. You can use a bond, play ports for 2 weeks, and work on your abyss mask using revolution :P if you don't break even with a wand drop you can quit 5eva

    P.S. What's up doc@

Well I've got about 100 mil cash to work with so I can start with 1 bond and we'll take bets on how long it takes me to ragequit again. Inb4 jagex saves their next shitty update for the second I get membership again.

  13. Oh boy, here we go again ...

Wand and orb are 1/2048 chance each :P So you'd be working on them for a while. The last two quests were pretty fun though, if still a bit short and handholdy.

If I do it will be using bonds for membership instead of my own cash. I won't be putting real money into the game, got a wedding/honeymoon/down payment on a house that I need to be saving for.

I also just started reading the Wheel of Time series so it's probably not worth it seeing as most of my free time will be spent on reading.

    p.s. Hi gwyn

  14. OMG you came back for like 1 post! OMGOMGOMG!

Now I have to remember to post here like erryday so you get updates and be like "Who this mother[bleep] that be postin on my [bleep]?"

    Also Inb4omgnewupdatemustplaybleepIneed95inskillIdonthavelolotgonnaplay

So I am thinking of coming back for a while. Should I? The last few updates sound pretty fun and I have a mask of the abyss to work on getting t75 wand/orb... decisions decisions...

  15. If you aren't using adrenaline potions and you have them already you should start using them to get back up to assault faster after berserking. I personally prefer zerking on phase 4 to get it over with faster but doing it on phase 1 and 2 is probably better for overall kill speeds. I also find that with melee its easier to just tank the 4 soul spawn with a rocktail or two as the more sporadic spawns mean too much running around and less time doing damage. In t8+ armor its very easy to tank the hits and not die even with superbreath combos if you just eat.

  16. Other things that would be good to do. Hit up w2 or w48 (if you have 2400 total) at global reset for the daily gathering of the yews. It's a good 40ish k exp in like 5 min.

C2 wc with fishing is very efficient if you also need dg exp.
