  1. GUARD: It's melee attacks (slash) are slow and inaccurate but can hit 250s. It seems to have low defence and a high hp. It attacks with melee but if you pray for melee or stand far it will switch to magic. If it is unable to reach you (away and praying mage or behind a jade root), it will bid nearby vines to attack you. This hits around 3-4 times but is extremely weak. If you cut the vines (80+ wc required) you can attack from the distance safely. However, the vines grow back and can move, so you shouldn't rely on this too much. It is passive. Requides 86 slayer to harm. Vulnerable to stab and slash attacks. Combat level: 145

    Drop list:

    100% : Mutated vine, excrescense

    Other drops: Common fruit, Diseased fruit, Dragonic fruit (?), Zamorak fruit (?), Aquatic fruit (?), Carrion fruit,, Guthix fruit, Saradomin fruit (?), whip vine, juju teleport spiritbag, clue scroll (hard), long bone, starved ancient effigy (?), blossom seed (green, red and blue), whiteberry seed, limpwurt seed, strawberry seed, watermelon seed, grimy herbs (noted, 1), herb seeds, yew logs (noted, around 14-16), mahogany logs (noted, around 14-16), magic logs (noted, around 4) Can drop multiple items at time.

    All fruits heal 150 hp. God fruits restore some prayer points as well. Diseased fruit doubles the amount of the next excrense drop, carrion the next mutated vine drop. All fruits are untradeable.

    Charms: All kinds (1). Drops gold, crimson and blue charms more often. Charm drops are somewhat rare, though.

    (?) = heard from other players, not confirmed.

    Male: Has identical drops to Guard, but drops elite clues in place of hard. Their attacks are similar but Male can hit up to 360s. You better be on your guard! Combat level: 201

  2. 1) There is no mention about Feathered Journal that lies on the ground when you enter the Eagles' Peak (has a red dot on mini map.) It has no much use on the quest itself, but is quite funny to read and gives some background about the Eagles' Peak.

    2) Giant kebbit is referred as a "Kebbit" on the monsters. It also drops bones in addition of the silver feather, which is not shown on the bestiary.

    3) You get a ferret and a box trap when Nickolaus shows you how to catch ferrets.

    No screenies or anything to cover my corrections. Hope this helps you anyway.

  3. Your Corporeal Beast Hunting Guide suggest players to use protect from magic prayer when killing it, saying "it's melee attack is less accurate." This may be a fact, as well as the fact that his mage is the deadliest (600+ when not praying). HOWEVER, my friend told me to use melee protection, because, apparently, PRAYING FOR MELEE DEFLECTS ALL DAMAGE WHEREAS PRAYING FOR MAGIC ONLY REDUCES THE DAMAGE TAKEN! I tried this on one round, and yes, none of the beast's melee attacks hit me. This doesn't seem to affect on stomp however. Maybe because it's special as it shows no melee icon on damage. Plus, 2/3 of the beast's magic attacks are somewhat harmless (small magic and the multitarget), only the big one is lethal. Multitarget is only harmful when there are many players around or when you move during the attack. But wearing dragonhides or karil's in place of the proselytes may help to ignore his magic attacks.

    Second, there is a new preferred bethod to take out cores: stun them with ranged. Using enhanced emerald bolts stuns the core so a) it can't move b) it can't attack even if you would be standing next to it. No more dodging or zgs stuns. One emerald bolt may be enough.

    I think this would be enough for arguing. Anyone willing to comptete?

  4. WANTED: A person who has not yet completed this quest so we can check whether this conversation works during the quest. Just go to the captain and check if you can go trough this conversation and end up in the duel without searching the unexisting bandit. A video would be very helpful.

    REWARD: My gratitude and possibly some credit too.

  5. First, I got 2 choc-ice from Revenant Icefiend {Added as Unconfirmed} and a rune longsword from Revenant Demon.{noted as unconfirmed} I had Jessica's ring. No screenshots taken.

    Second, a funny thing, was that my lesser demon slayer task actually went on during revenant hunting. Are revenant demons count as lessers as well? {Added a note behind the scenes for this too}

    Third, a few tips to avoid an unnecessary item loss and death:

    - Don't bring an offensive summoning familiar with you. It can help you during the fight, but it will also make revenants rage, hitting them about 10 times in couple seconds. {Added}

    - Make love, not war! If a player is already fighting a revenant, don't butt in! This can make them angry and, if they're higher lvl than you, may courage them to attack you. {Added}

    - Give space. There are higher level revenants for players to kill. You don't have to try to steal every single revenant in sight. {Added}

    - If you're there to kill revenants, not players, DON'T GET SKULLED! This is a very easy way to get people to attack you, as well to lose your stuff. {Added}

    - A charged glory is handy for attack bonus, but, most importantly, it works up to lvl30 in wilderness and can teleport you out in two clicks. {Already in Guide}

    - Anticipate! If you see player to equip claws and pot, it might be better to get away from him. If he runs after you, teleport out immediately! {Added}

    - Avoid the entrance near 30 wild. This is the most likely spot pkers will strike. If you see white spots rushing in, run in 30- wild and teleport out. {Added}

    - Stay under lvl30 wilderness. Glory and ring of life won't work after lvl30. {Added}

    A few tips to fight revenants:

    - Revenants basically use magic attacks, so keep this defence high. If you pray against magic, they will range you. If you dominate them too much (hit highs, many times in row or just have a high hitting weapon), they will swap to melee. This is more inaccurate and somewhat less powerful, but if you don't have high def, pray against melee and they will swap to mage again. {Added}

    - The basic idea is to get the revenants in low health and then eliminate them as fast as possible. Godswords or chaotic rapier work well at this. In low health revenants will heal themself. This doesn't seem to rely on your attack speed, so they will heal themselves regardless if you're attacking them with whip or armadyl godsword.

    - The second method is simple: if they are healing, they won't attack you. So max your accuracy and keep hitting them. After you hit lows or miss enough many times they will attack again. Keep hitting and healing until they've reached their healing limit. At this point they will be in low health and continually attack you. {Already in Guide} - healing is covered in the guide

    - Zamorakian spear special attack can stun the revenants so you can heal yourself a bit. You can also use it to stun SINGLE pkers, NOT groups! {Added}

    - Use forinthy bracelet when fighting high level revenants! This will make you immune to them for one minute / charge. So you can bash them as much as you want and they can't attack you. It will also make revenants passive for one hour SPENT inside the cave. Revenants may lunge at you after using this, but they will turn away if you run to them. {Already in Guide}

    Would this make enough suggestions?

  6. Ok, I got a fire giant task and went there with ranged gear (= my GWD gear) and 1500 iron darts. During the task I noticed that some giants got poisoned starting at 20. Now, the funny thing is that:

    - I had plain darts, not poisoned ones.

    - I hadn't used smoke spells or any sort magic.

    - There were no earlier players that could have poisoned them.

    - This kept going on all the time I was ranging them.

    So, can anyone give any sort of explanation for this one?

  7. Your guide says:

    "When fighting the Wild jade vine during the quest, it will use melee and range attacks. When fighting it after completion of the quest, it will use melee and magic attacks."

    However, I went to kill it after the quest and I noticed that at some point I took a hit from long-range attack that was shown as a ranged damage. But I remember it has been attacking with magic as well. So, do we have scouts to check this one? With a screenie or video or whatever.

  8. I got a troll task from Sumona and killed about 100 trolls when I got something unusual - Vecna skull as a wealth drop. A nice surprise. I didn't take a screenie (because I can't take one on this #%¤#%&¤ laptop) and it doesn't stand in my player log either (1.2M rare drop SHOULD be there). So, if there was a nice person (or a wicked villain who needs Vecna skull to complete his life-draining machine) who could run an errand for me, take a charged ring of wealth with you and kill the trolls until you get one too.

  9. I was stupid enough to test basilisk's glare without a mirror shield. I saw it was actually a long-range MELEE attack. I restored my stats and tried again, this time with protect from melee on. So, the glare hit no damage but the stats dropped anyway. So this is an interesting but useless piece of advice. I assume that also cockatrices attack with long-ranged melee glare (Basilisk Boss still uses continual magic glare. I didn't dare to take off the shield when I fought him.)

  10. "When you get tired of fighting, go deep, deep down until you need an antidote."

    I have gotten this clue for a couple times, but one thing bothers me. What I know, you WILL need an antipoison potion when searching the crate or you will find nothing. Your guide only highly recommends taking an antipoison but doesn't claim it's necessary to complete the clue.

    Next time you get this clue, drop the antipoison before you search the crate, pick it up and search it again. This should prove wheter this is correct or not.
