  1. Low level monsters are often useful in blocking other more damaging ones.
  2. Killing cockroaches soldiers with g2h is rather fun :D, lots of 200+ hits all the time
  3. Wish I had known earlier. Visited the guild 2 days ago to get just a couple hundred coal, the place was swarming with people! At least 15 in a reasonably quiet world, so at first I thought wow coal mining must be great money/xp, is there some secret I'm missing? Kinda weird no one talked tho. Hopping to other worlds, no matter how busy it is, there always seems to be at least 5 people. Didn't cross my mind they were all bots at that time, loads of over lvl90s there, of course its so obvious now lol. It wasn't like this just a few months ago, didn't realise it changes so fast. Jagex needs to help out here.
  4. I can confirm blastbox does not have extra hits while in a dungeon, only outside.
  5. BioIce I was looking to apply as well for the Dragoons. Most of your questions have been answer already and I can read, for the last question about the doors, I must admit I am not a great keyer. However if I was one in W7 I would do in order KeyDoors-Door-Skill-Puzzle(If 1 player)-Guardian. Obviously I would mention a GD when i come across it, but W7 parties are unlikely to take notice immediately, that's why I ranked it near the end. My attitude shouldn't be a problem, always open to advice anyway. I do remember playing a few dungeons with a stephanie508 back in the days of w1.
  6. Sounds like you know a good way to dung sonikku, I would like to know as well =), w7 is sapping my will to live. You can see my stats on HS.
  7. We left. Didn't fancy -100% xp =P. On a brighter note, just taught 4 guys how to do merc room, spread the knowledge!
  8. T11 mercenary room is the first room of f27 med lol, our average cb around 90. gf dung. =/
  9. I can sympathise with Sonikku, since admittedly I found it impossible to figure out the mechanics on the first few goes, resorting to looking it up on a guide instead >.<. I agree it's not intuitive. Basically the ferret with move 2 paces in a line from the spot you are standing, trying to maintain a 2 spot gap between you. E.g if you stand right behind it south, it'll move 2 paces north (applies to diagonals too importantly- stand SE and it will move NW). A commentary video will explain it far better than me here. You might want to have run off (if you are not pro) as I find it easier to position my self 1 block at a time. Generally (non pros) only 1 or 2 people should be in the room, otherwise they get in each others way which I've seen far too many times, confusing the poor ferret endlessly. You only scare the ferret when it is in a corner/dead end, and that makes in move in an unorthodox fashion. However if the ferret is stuck you could just stand on top of it and it will probably move back. I also agree ferret room is the second most annoying simply because of the amount of time it takes for an average group to solve.
  10. GAWD, just spent 5mins (no joke) looking at 3 noobs (one lvl 113) trying to do the coloured ferret room, was trying to see if they will ever learn anything about how they move. Turns out they only know how to scare it. =/
  11. Would the max f2p melee hit be with amulet of strength or the zealot now?
  12. YESSS! Just killed the merc leader in 5:5 f34 without any deaths on our team . =)
  13. The room is harder than the boss on any floor/party imo. That cant be right =P
  14. Have to agree with see_all's article. The cap was hastily put together when jagex realised they screwed up, about time they fixed it. But i must say I like the gnome-copters while they were there =)
  15. Yea I know, did my post imply that? I always attack the leader and ignore the rest.
  16. ^ Sonikku I was thinking about the same thing yesterday and decided on fractite for a) slightly higher(probably almost negligible) defence it provides against melee and range than dromo and b) i start with a frac plate binded. Prayer is not a problem since i will die(or tele out =P) before even 1/4 is gone methinks. Let me knoe if you come up with some other plan =).
  17. So you didn't die once? First time I came across it, all T11 monsters cuts me down in like 5 secs even through pray. Ended that dungeon with ~-60% penalty due to deaths lol =) Second time T8 or T9ers, cut me down in like 8secs through pray =O. Could only get max 3 hits on the leader lol. Coupled with the fact many of the hits were zeroes, I decided to call it a day for dungeoneering. Shame, I was hoping to get 85 dung soon. Recommend stuff like full fractite, praying mage, with full inv flatfish+?
  18. Hi, just wondering, what do f2p dungeoneers think of the mercenary leader room? Personally me and my team have real trouble clearing it, in the end with multiple deaths. Kind of ruins any 5:5 larges =(. Any tips you could offer me?
  19. Hey everyone, F2p player lnfernuus here (spelt with an L =P) Been playing for over 5 years now, all f2p except for the 1 week free membership >.< Plan on being around in the f2p threads hopefully. Thanks for reading.
