P2P Staking Gear Guide
Like I said, money isn't an issue and typically my stakes are a minimum of 50k. I would definitely go with dragonstone bolts.

P2P Staking Gear Guide
Solid answer for the cape slot but looking over the stats, even though Ava's Accumulator gives +4 ranged it lacks in every other area. I'd still stick with Obsidian but I'll note it in the list. Rune C'Bow >Magic Short Bow? It use to be the other way around or at least a matter of preference. I wouldn't go with Dragon Darts, if I remember correctly, bows still owned darts.

P2P Staking Gear Guide
In my original thread I listed the best possible F2P Range Gear for a 1 Def/1 Pray Mixed Pure. I appreciate everyone's help in that thread (shown here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/285869-returning-member-stakinggear-help/ ) Now I'd like to ask, as a returning member/staker, what is the best possible Range Gear. Money is not an issue. Here is my list for what the best possible gear USE to be: *UPDATED* Robin Hood Hat Fury Amulet (Overall) /Amulet of Ranging (+ Range) Black D'hide Chaps Spiked Black D'hide vambs Archer Ring Ranger Boots Obsidian Cape /Ava's Accumulator Magic Short Bow /Dark Bow /Rune C'Bow /Morrigan's /Hand Cannon/ Karil's for weapons all seem to be viable with the best possible arrows, poisoned. Thanks all!

Best mid level staker build?
Both of the above posts are 100% WRONG. I've been out of the loop since staking ended however during the end of its course I was staking anywhere from 50k-5million at a time. I would be happy to provide some evidence of this. You don't need to "clean" someone out to make a bit of cash. The average age of a typical RS player I would imagine is pretty young as a such you play to emotions. Beat someone and say "I got lucky", "wow, my first time winning!" or "you suck", whatever your taunt of choice is and many times people will go round 2, 3, 4 to stake again. Having said that, my personal opinion leans towards multi-pures with 1 def, 1 pray. Back in the day, I would encounter pures, def hoarders, and mixes. So building a staker with specific goals in mind is just fine. Never wear your best armor while walking around and your stats won't be as impressive. Finally, always expect a switch. Make sure you can Mage/Range, Range/Melee, or Melee/Mage. If you can only do 1, you'll limit yourself greatly. As far as I remember, Mage has a % that's passive so just having mage levels (which you can build without building hp, thus not affecting your CB level) will give you magic defense in additional to whatever defense you already have.

Returning Member - Staking/Gear Help
I'm not sure it switches, but I know it degrades over time. After looking it over it does seem that it's a better weapon than a Rune 2h..so I appreciate the help!

Returning Member - Staking/Gear Help
Thanks for the quick reply! My goal is eventually 50 attack as that's the highest I can be with 99 str, range, mage, hp without raising my combat level. Would a gravite 2h >rune 2h? I was going with an obby maul on members.

Returning Member - Staking/Gear Help
Hey Everyone, My name is Dragonpoo06. I decided to post in this forum first as I'm not new to RS and thus don't think an introduction is needed right away. Before removing the wild/free-trade/staking and everything else that hurt Jagex as a whole, I was a fairly efficient (over 10 million in profits) staker and member of several top organized pure clans. After seeing the update, I've decided to give RS another shot. To get to the point, I am a mixed pure with 84 range, 45 atk, 77str, 79 magic, 1 def, 1 pray. Would the following still be the BEST POSSIBLE (I have plenty of cash to spend and would be willing to do any quest that doesn't raise my pray/def) F2P gear for a ranger? I will follow this thread up with a P2P gear specific thread however for now I'm going to practice my F2P gearing. Coif Amulet of Power Leather Body Green D'Hide Chaps Green D'Hide Vambs Maple Shortbow Adamant Arrows Cape Leather Boots Str Pots+Rune 2h for Melee Combo Wizard Hat/Robe +Staff+ Runes for Mage Combo Swordfish/Lobby's for food Appreciate the help everyone! Keep in mind any upgrade to this list..no matter how small would be something I'm interested in. Thanks! -Dragonpoo
