  1. Do it for the sake of having the stat and the 99, and the overall experience, not the cape. Not everyone gets 99's just to show off, I agree with OP and if you enjoy the skill, by all means do it. Hell, go get 200M if you like it that much. Don't listen to haters and have them dictate your life because they think it's a "terrible" stat, or "nooby".

What's the difference between fletching and any other buy-able stat? Look at Herblore. Exact same thing, only thing separating the two stats are price range. (Not including uses and what not.)

Anyone who wants to max or have a high overall total or experience will have to do the stat eventually. If not you can look back on them when you have all those "nooby" 99's, and see that they're still the same stats. Who's the noob then?

  2.

    7) Slayer is the Best Slayers

These poor, deluded people seem to think that Slayer is the best option for experience, the best option for money, and the best option for charms. They have never heard of Dharoking Mummies / Green Dragons (Boss Hunting) / Rock Lobsters. They will also fight anyone who suggests that Slayer is an inefficient training method if one wants melee experience only. Slayer is the Best Slayers also tend to whip everything and often claim that quests are stupid.

Got me almost pinned down minus the fighting that slayer is the best. I could care less what other people think of the skill. I personally love it.

  3. Thanks guys - I guess I'll just leave them as a placeholder *sigh*

And at least you can use Spec Restores!

When will I ever need to cure 6k villagers in Mort'ton? -.-

    Haha fair enough. Point made.

Damn, I'm in the same boat after 99 Herblore except I've got Recover Special potions...26k of them. Gah!

Buy yourself some claws : p

I tend to use em at corp with stat hammer and bgs when I can. Thinking of using them on Slayer tasks or something lol.

  4. I still prefer to use Crystal Bow for DK's and things that I want to range on a slayer task. Although I can honestly say that I'm not too surprised with the Crystal Bow being as good as it shows. Broad Bolts are simply just cheaper to use, and are a versitile option as compared to a Magic Bow or Crystal bow because you can use a Zammy Book, or Shield, or whatever.

  5. I've been a huge fan of Slayer since it's release. Being top 500 to 85 and top 1000 to 99, by far one of the best skills imo. The drops are awesome, cash is half decent, and it even gives a hefty amount of drops used for other skills. I've been doing slayer for ages now, and it's put me at 120M+ Attack Exp. Can't go wrong a fun way to get 200M in a stat.

  6. Omali surely meant bunny ears and scythe.

And I agree with him, I think we all could use a bit more of humility. Runescape doesn't need year capes - players already are good enough at acting like an elite asshat.

I'd have to agree with this lol. I've got a good majority of the Holiday items, no need really for a cape. Scythes and Bunny Ears tend to do the job.

  7. Like said before, without rares when you're all maxed out and what not, what is there to work towards? All be it pointless to sit on a massive cash pile just as much as it is party hats now, atleast it's something to work for. It'd be a bad idea imo.
