False, high levels of ldl are bad for you and often mislabeled as the "bad cholesterol" you actually need both in order to survive ldl is what carries cholesterol to your cells, but is so big it bounces off artery walls and leaves some cholesterol behind hdl picks up the leftover cholesterol and stray ldls back to their destination You need a balance of both, because high hldl levels can lead to too much cholesterol but low levels of hdl can lead to high cholesterol as well Edit: you dun got my terms confused for a moment <_<
