How do put the picture on the background and should you put it on the bg before you blur anything.

...blending it into a background. I dont know how to take out a something out of an image, like a person and blending it into a background. I can't find any tutorials. Links to tutorials for this or answers and tips from you would be appreciated! 1) How do you remove or cut out a person or anything out of an image so that you can blend it into a different background? 2) How do you blend images cut out images into backgrounds?

I have a scanner. How do you scan it, and copy over it? Because I can draw pretty good in real life but can't seem to do good in pixeling. I have photoshop, if that helps.

...take out a piece of an image in photoshop? For example, if I wanted to take a 300 by 100 piece out of a 500 by 250, meaning I'll be using the 300 by 100 and would like to disguard the rest of the image. Please go through all the steps specifically because I'm such a Photoshop newb. Also, when I download different brushes, where do I unzip the files to. Please if you know the answers to my question(s), reply. I will be so happy. :D
