I killed random nobles in the wilderness. That must be it

I need some help with a certain situation. I was sent by the greybeards or whatever to find something, and found a note that said to meet in the riverwood inn for the item. So I fast travel there, and instantly everyone attacked me. I tried sheathing multiple times. The weird thing is, it says I have no bounty.
What can I do?

I love abby specters for herbs and things like that. You should be able to tear through them. You could also just gradually slay and train a multitude of skills, plus earn money at the same time.
You also might look into green drags at the chaos tunnels, these can be around 1m per hr.
For money in general, just farm and make sure to do dailies. Not to mention MTK
