  1. For wave 26, melee the 200 ranger. Then hug the two 300 meleers around the 400 mage. Mage the meleers and range the mage.

For wave 27, melee the 200 ranger. The 400 mage will be stuck in the north-east part of the map. Stay to the north-west so it can't attack you. Mage the 300 meleers before ranging the 400 mage.

  2. Heck, I suspect the range update will disbalance the P2P combat triangle. :wall:

How? Range is supposed to beat Magic. Right now it's extremely difficult for range to beat a max mage. Magic has been on top of the PvP combat triangle for too long.

  3. The new bolts is what caught my attention. I hope they work against monsters like Nex, Kree'arra and other magical monsters. Should give Ranged a well deserved boost in terms of power. I guess they're done with Magic and are now starting to update Ranged.

  4. So pretty much, the jist of it is that mage is really only good for slayer when it comes to metal dragons, and abby demons, once i get to them eventually

Magic is good on pretty much every monster, including black dragons.

    2000 hits/misses please

I don't see a point in doing that. I know from personal experience that Magic is accurate enough on black dragons.

Edit: here, take a look at this for yourself. You don't have to reord 2,000 hits to know if Magic is accurate on black dragons or not. Skip to 3:05.

  6. Polypore is a bit slower than Melee (by around 8 - 10 minutes in total), but it's generally safer than Melee (especially on the 360's and Jad) and requires less attention.

With Melee it takes around 35 - 37 minutes to complete the Fight Caves. Around 42-45 minutes with polypore and 32 minutes with Storm of Armadyl.

  7. Just completed the fight kiln yet again :P 54 minutes, 7,9m gp/hr. It is worth using range on the TokHaar-Mej and TokHaar-Ket-Zek. Use the rocks in the middle as a safespot. I don't recommend using a crossbow, because the attack range on it is too short - you will run away from your safespot. Use a zaryte bow or Karil's crossbow instead. Save your magic crystals until wave 33. Then use all three to speed the last waves up. Use a range crystal on wave 19 and wave 20. Storm the rest. Melee isn't worth it, because it takes too long to run to the monsters and you have to run away from your safespot.

  8. What I don't understand about the FPS performances in the game, is that for example in the Wilderness, I can get around 25 FPS on resizable mode. The area has been updated a couple of weeks ago with newer graphics, but I get 7 FPS in places like the Slayer tower, which have some of the oldest graphics in the game. Why am I getting better FPS in a new area and not in an old area?

  9. Q, if you're bored, could you test something for me?

Could you melee steel dragons for 40 / 60 minutes and tell me how much Strength xp you get? Use your void, claws, Turmoil, overloads etc. Set one of your xp counters on Strength so you'll know how much xp you're getting. Try to waste any attack turns. Reason for this is because I want to see how it compares to the polypore staff and I can't really play RS anymore, because I'm getting 5 - 6 FPS nowadays since the last system update. It sucks.
