  1. Anyone know the precise mechanics behind it?

    From the wiki:

Converts all the clean herbs (noted or otherwise) in the player's inventory into unfinished potions of the same type, up to a maximum of 50 of each herb. Does not work with Cave Nightshades.

Does that mean I can have stacks of 50 noted herbs x 15 different herbs and have them all converted to unfinished potions in one go?

If so that seems like the most efficient way to spend livid points.

Any other suggestions as to what to use the points on?

  2. I'm not much of a lore person but I've always wondered if there was an ordered list of the most powerful beings in Runescape. I couldn't find one so I decided to make one. Obviously there's a lot of guesswork and opinions involved in this. In addition, not only are we missing a ton of information but there are some contradictions to resolve as well. Most personalities don't have a combat level so there's only background lore and comparisons with other personalities to go on.

    Tier 1

Mage Gower??- In one of the God letters back from RSC there was a mention of a Mage Gower. He was never mentioned again so it's not canonical and just a throaway joke. Obviously since Andrew Gower created the game he would be omnipotent.

Elder Gods - presumably the most powerful beings in existence as they created the plane that was to become Gielinor. The only known (and perhaps their leader) Elder God is Jas.

    Tier 2

Guthix- Created Gielinor and is currently the most powerful being.

Saradomin/Zamorak- Equally matched but diametrically opposite to each other

Armados/Bandos- There's no proof that a god's power is correlated with how many followers they have but that seems to be the case. Armadyl and Bandos have greatly reduced followers compared to Saradomin and Zamorak.

Zaros- Ruled over most of Runescape at some point but currently banished. Would probably be the most powerful being (barring Guthix?) if he were to return.

    Tier 3

Kerapac/Dragonkin - I think these are the most powerful beings in Runescape that directly interfere with anything. Usually the gods let their followers do their bidding. Kerapac created the QBD and three Dragonkin mucked up Lucien pretty badly.

Robert the Strong?? - I really don't like this personality and I don't really know where to put him. He supposedly killed off most of the Dragonkin but is supposed to be 100% human. He's only mentioned a few times so it seems Jagex attributed that feat to him and then retconned how powerful the Dragonkin actually are.

Wyrms- Said to be ancestors to modern day dragons. Said to be able to level cities by themselves. Not enough information

Seren/Marimbo/Desert Pantheon/other minor gods- They don't really fit into the main storyline so it's hard to see how powerful they are but seeing as they seem to only exist regionally, they probably are not as powerful as some of the other personalities who are much older and seemingly operate on a more global scale.

Lucien- The most powerful of the Mahjarrat. Derives power from the Stone of Jas

Mahjarrat- Presumably Azzanadra, Sliske and Zemouregal are the foremost among them.

Lord Drakan- Served Zaros and then Zamorak, so theoretically on the same level as the Mahjarrat.

    Tier 4

Kuradel??- Strongest human and supposedly killed hundreds of glacors during ROTM.

    Queen Black Dragon - 2100

    Nex- 1001

    Har-Aken- 800

    Nomad- 699

    Corporeal Beast- 785

    Jad- 702

    Pest Queen- 599

Thoughts? Any notable omissions? Anything clearly in the wrong order?

  3. Does anyone think the note is glitched?

The 350k lamp is only available to be used on skills over level 86 but there's nothing stopping you from using 3 100k lamps and 50k lamp to get 350k exp in a skill you are not level 86 in.

Basically someone could get 1-62 in a skill over the course of about 2 minutes. That's really bad design.

  4. so you assume we have some way of getting info about what jagex has planned? and even if we did, who's to say they'd follow through with their plans?

Jmods frequently tell us what they have planned. So yes.

The change already has occurred (re: Runespan).

That's interesting. So basically they're just going to make Runecrafting a skill that's just there (like almost every other skill) ? Something you need to meet requirements. Seems like a suboptimal solution.

  5. Really don't feel like scouring through 200 pages in the EoC megathread in the main forum, so please bear with me. (Side note: What is the point of having all that in one thread? I get that you want less clutter and to keep discussion in one place but it makes it impossible to find specific things.)

So chaos, death and blood runes are a lot less useful in the new combat. This will of course negatively impact runecrafting. Has Jagex said anything about how they will improve runecrafting or is it their intention to make the skill useless?

  6. If I were in your situation I would hold off on buying any more chaotics until the combat changes. Scroll of efficiency, cleansing, life will all be useful regardless so you may want to get those.

Ideally though, you will spend some tokens to upgrade your ring of kinship (though that too might be affected by combat changes)
