  1. You are looking at this from the wrong perspective, what I am merely saying is that you cannot deem someone inefficient or a bad skiller because they don't play  a lot. I would not classify someone who plays 10 hours/day at a low efficiency a better skiller than someone who plays 3 hours/day at a high efficiency. The way you are classifying people is rather unfair and unjustified.

I understand your point but it is the wrong counter argument.

  2. I disagree with your sentiment. You cannot deem someone an un-effective skiller because they can only play 2 hours a day. They are effective with the time they are given. And contrary to what you said, a better skiller is someone who gains more exp in the same time frame, efficiently and effectively. Your logic is all backwards on this one.

The best skillers are people who put the effort forth. There is not much needed in order to stay effective for a long time rather than will power. Being a good skiller should be determined by how you use your time, not how much you play.

  3. Congratulations to Alkan on his recent 200m's!

As for the discussion on the top skillers of all time. It really is hard to compare in my opinion. Zarfot has got to be up there in terms of efficiency and how much he could handle over time but SUOMI was right there with him. SUOMI was capable of Zarfot like gains for long periods of time. Forsberg888 is quite efficient himself and is capable of doing it for a long time too. Of course he is of a different generation and it is not possible to directly compare. Drowns has probably got to be one of the most efficient players today, similar to Zarfot with that he doesn't play the huge amounts.

What we tend to only notice is the people with big gains. I, myself, would not be surprised if there are many other people that are very efficient.

Drumgun is not efficient, but has big gains. He plays his style, other's play theirs. Its all a matter of degree.

A lot of times good skillers are not given credit because we don't see them on the top daily gain websites, and likewise we see people get unnecessary attention because they play 20 hours/day. Time played =/= good or efficient. (itrolledu).

There are of course a few others out there who we can consider efficient, like Dragonseance, someone who I would put close to on par with Drowns when he isn't spending all his time catching Sprites... some joke about completing all completables.

  4. I'm not sure if has started collecting bxp or not. I doubt he will for agi as he can get 200m agi losslessly with skills he has left. He seems to be getting 2 times more agi exp than wc exp currently... I don't think anything gives that kind of ratio for Silverhawk boots with bonus... is it possible he is running laps?

Only bxp I can picture him getting is hunt or fishing. If is heisting he should be done with that soon, alsoI haven't seen him around SC lately either.

  5. This seems like the perennially undying discussion topic in this thread which most philosophers and the greatest minds on earth haven't yet solved. Here we are, on a Runescape 200m all skills thread debating the meaning of life, happiness, and what is and what isn't a waste of time. You want to know the answer? Every single person generally has a different view and it is not our place to try to dissect their motives.

Of course we will all have opinions, I myself, am very opinionated too, but I reserve my right to judge others based on MY view. I believe that life is best lived by being yourself and doing what is right for you.

Some people do jump off into the deep end and I acknowledge that. It is no different than drinking or drugs and unfortunately we do not have any advocacy groups to help people through their addictions to Runescape, and yes, it is an addiction.

The reason we see this topic re-surfacing is because as part of the general public, if you aren't contributing to say, the human race, society, etc... you are frowned upon and this apparently is demeaning to life. What we should really be doing is not worrying about others, let them do what they want because in the end whatever we do or say on this thread or in-game - they won't change until they come to a personal realization. That's exactly what it is - a personal realization.

Could I personally justify spending my whole life on Runescape? Most definitely not. I enjoy playing, sometimes less, and sometimes more. But I enjoy University, learning, and the prospect of having a job, kids, and being what my view of successful is. That is MY view, maybe someone like Forsberg888 or Drumgun would call that a waste?

  6. Can everyone please stop with all the condescending, border-line racist, and useless comments? Seriously guys, I understand you hide behind your keyboard and are probably very self conscious and feel a need to either put other people down or vent your frustrations. If you need to vent, go outside maybe. This thread is to talk about the best methods to 200m all. I don't give two shits what irrelevant information you feel like posting. Find something useful to do with your time.

Drumgun can do whatever he wants, if he feels like going to ski in Lapland with Suomi for 2 months then by all means, he should be able to go ski. As hard as it may be to understand RS is not life for many people, sometimes even the people who you think RS is their life.

On topic, most front pagers are farming bonus exp, and speaking of bonus exp there is a new minigame out in just under a day which will give bonus farm, slayer, and smithing exp. I wonder how this will effect future slayer? Get bonus exp and do more cb exp post 200m? Also with farming, it might help some with very low farm exp and in danger of it being the last 200m. Should also help out some with low gp?

    Thoughts?

  7. Fors plays much much more than 5-7 hours. And Drumgun is #1. Race for 2 is still on between Geel, Jdel, and Fors. Fors is still behind the others, but with how much time he's been putting in I wouldn't cut him out of the picture.

Also, Geel has not been hoarding a ton of bonus exp (for now some Agil for sh, and theiving), he's just playing less lately and sleeping more! He told me that he will be putting in bigger gains from this point, and 200m range should be upcoming shortly.

  8. I am all for efficiency but the majority of people who do traders, do not do fletching. I don't like afk very much but personally a little relaxed thieving would be nice for myself, and why I would use hiest bonus exp on it. In the end it's personal preference, and I don't mind not fletching because that in itself is 600k exp/hr + and is done often at random moments.

  9. The early stages were much better because there was more speculation and looking forward to someone getting 200m all, and the methods less known, whereas now the methods are more widespread and we know that it is possible.

We do have a constructive discussion every now and then, but it gets off tracks pretty quickly with the amount of useless posts/trolls. Regardless if skills are being made faster, 'degraded', whatever people are calling it - there still is an ongoing discussion about 200m all. People would rather stay off-topic, post irrelevant information, and needlessly waste their own time typing and ours when we try to sift through all the shit to find something relevant.

If you have nothing good to write, please don't write it all.

  10. So I've been out of the loop for a while; is Heist worth doing for both thieving and hunter, and if so approximately how much faster is doing heist for bonus then training than just straight training?

Personally, at 380k thieve bonus/hour and 350k hunt/hour it's worth for  both skills, especially how much you cut down on actually doing the skill.

  11. He clearly is spending IRL gp on something he doesn't enjoy.

It is my personal opinion that someone must value real life pretty low to stoop down to paying $4,000 for virtual exp. I know that you compare spending 4k on clubs vs. 4k on exp but that's not a fair assumption to make. You can far better improve your life with 4k than spending it on Runescape. I completely understand using in game gp to buy bonds and keys because in most cases - you worked for the gp and therefore spent it on something you deemed more efficient.

Once you start spending real money on experience or gp, that's crossing the line for me and in my opionon I would advise you to quit because if you need to buy it, you're not actually enjoying it as it you should. Play the game for what it is.

  12. It is still far beyond me why someone would spend real money on the game... even if you save time... it's one of the most dumb ways one can spend money.

Y0 blue spent 4k irl on divination, I'd imagine similar here.

  13. It doesn't matter much. Everyone knows you are the real record holder. Everyone knows he would not have been #2 to 200m divination.

His 'achievements' or whatever he justifies them as, will never be perceived as such.

  14. So, 56.5 gp/exp for your 495k agility exp. You would need to value time very high to use this method to a large extent. You're better off using on divination or runecrafting if some one does decide to abuse it.

Also, Y0 Blue deserves no respect whatsoever, I don't know why we should even mention him on this thread.

  15. This top 15 update is no where near as good as the last few because Bxprod is on vacation in the lower Amazon hunting black salamanders and A13D is busy not wasting exp. So, I decided to give just a quick overview of what people have been up to the past month. This is just an overview, I won't go into details and no dry humour. Also, Gemeos, I am doing the current top 15 on the Highscores, not the top 15 in OA exp. Also note, bonus exp weekend is included in the gains.

It's not pretty and not perfect, but should get some information across.

    1. Suomi +0 exp

Suomi has been inactive and we will continue to see him inactive until probably the new skill. He has provided us with an insight that he won't return in the immediate future while he is busy working on cardio in Lapland.

    2. Drumgun + 152m

Drumgun has been gaining exp in all skills he doesn't yet have 200m in. He did BA for agility bonus. Main gains are 22m agility (63m), 18m slayer (133m), and 16m farming (134m). 200m all getting closer and closer. 200m Herb during BXP.

    3. Jake + 29m

Jake is still busy 07'ing it up. Nonetheless, solid gains in smithing, and mining via minebands both just around 150m exp. Agility for 1.7m exp, and 15m exp in divination other notables.

    4. Jdelacrix + 47m

Gains for Jdel around the board while gathering bonus exp for fishing. Top gains include 6.4m strenght, 4.1m woodcut, 5.4m fishing, 12m minebands (194m), 7.5m agility, 7.5m divination.

    5. Dragonseance + 129m

Dragonseance has been busy getting bonus exp for agility, fishing, and hunter. We will see some real gains once he starts training skills. Notably this month was a huge 75 hour stretch of crafting for 101m crafting exp. Other skills include daily mining, woodcutting, farming, firemaking, and divination.

    6. Geel + 265m

This month saw Geel achieve 200m summoning and divination. After that, many gains across a number of skills with the highest gains being: 15m ranged, 7.4m strength, 17m smithing,

    9m mining, 14m thieving, 6.6m farming.

    7. Forsberg888 + 288m

As per usual, big gains from Fors. Included were 26m divination, 36m construction, 78m herblore, 11m mining, and 71m prayer. Big month of buyable exp. We should soon see whether or not his bank extends past these gains.

    8. Almostlost + 102m

Exp for the-one-who-almost-lost-his-life-while-divinationing has has some solid gains this month without visiting the hospital. Top skills include 54m strength, 11m fishing, 11m mining, 5m smithing, and 6.3m firemaking. Look to see a continue in Strength gains.

    9. Alkan + 198m

Big month for big wiener sub man. Big gains in many skills but dominated by 8m construction, 12m mining, 14m agility, 13m firemaking, 36m fletching, and 19m magic. A well balanced month for him.

    10. Elvis + 59m

With his biggest gains in a long time, Elvis came to life over DXP. His gains of note include 44m summoning and 14m construction.

    11. My Kingz + 253m

It's been reported the King has been proposed to, yet to confirm if the answer was yes. Exp gains should not be hindered if it's just a gossip. A lot of exp was gained by Kingz with top gainers being 147m prayer, 65m crafting, 18m thieving, and 11m minebands.

    12. Paperbag + 27m

Paperbag is losing ranks as fast as he is gaining agility exp, so I guess that's not too bad. Only gain of notice is 25m agility to bring him to 138m.

    13. Crystalfarm + 93m

Primarily focusing on divination with 30m exp, putting him at 170m. Other gains include 9m mining, 40m fletching, and 12m crafting.

    14. Kingduffy + 35m

As per usual, the King has gains in every skill but 3. Skills with over 2m gained are divination, construction, farming, slayer, fishing, woodcutting, magic.

    15. Roger Al + 217m

A big month from Roger Al putting him into the top 15. He continues with smithing - 105m gained with 14m exp from 200m (expect it within the next week). 16m dungeoneering and 6.3m prayer also notable. Also, we saw 200m summoning achieved.

  16. Lover Romeo was first.

Also, congrats to rank 55 - Kemadorr on 200m runecrafting with a lot of slow 200m's he is sure to be up there on time to 200 all. Also gratz to Carcass on 200m smithing.

Seems like a lot of top guys are doing prayer at the moment. Personally I didn't see a huge drop in price during DXP.

  17. Big gains this weekend by many top pagers. A little overview:

Drumgun finally rank 2, expect him to not lose it till he overtakes Suomi. Big herblore gains from Drum, might see 200m tomorrow if he can pull out 35m exp, which is very possible.

Grats to Goud on rank 5 while getting 200m Summoning, seems like a little smithing is being done now.

Forsberg to rank 7 with huge gains in herblore, we won't see 200m unless he pulls out a Drowns day of 61m exp (holy shit).

Also Angerfist with 200m summoning, look forward to Alkan getting 200m herb tomorrow, and Killerjv with 200m divination.

  18. I think you've changed since the last time you posted, SUOMI. Much more mature and wise sounding! Whatever you have been doing IRL is paying off.

I agree with you that there is no difference whether you got 20m divination, or 200m divination. They are just numbers and your goal was 5b exp from the beginning, not 5.2b. So with that said, I'm glad you enjoyed divination anyway and I do look forward to you still staying around in game. It doesn't need to be played on the basis of achieving 200m's, and I've think you've got that figured out now.

Glad to have you back Suomi.

  19. Honestly, I don't know if I would support it as an update either. I'd be pretty neutral about it. If it was released, I would not mind, and if it isn't, it doesn't change my goals.

I think 120 capes would be nice, but for a virtual level - no change from the current 99 system. Just because, 99 all at the moment really, already condones a lot of play time, and for new players that's all they need even though exp de-valued blah blah blah, it still takes a long time and that is enough for new players to swallow.

I wonder if implementing just 120 capes for the virtual level (104.4m exp) would work. I guess a 200m cape would work as well, and there would be no need to change the current highscores. A 200m cape would be a cape of achievement, not of a level. It would represent true mastership of the skill. Opinions?
