50K Boost in votes sounds something Jagex can reasonably do to be honest. They already have shown that they will bribe players for votes, lower the goal post by essentially giving away a free 250k votes, and now saying that if it gets close enough they'll still do it. What's a boosted 50k votes if they already admitted they'll boost at least 20k votes?

If i'm not mistaken, the old thing Jagex did to interfere, was increase the awareness of the 2007scape poll and release the game early? Yes, but those are both very obvious PR stunts they pulled out of the bag when votes started to flat-line. You can see it quite clearly on misplaced graph, right where the curve levelled off to near flat they suddenly spammed twitter and fb and moved the vote to the front page with an instan vote button producing a nice bump. Then as it started to flatline again they suddenly pulled out early access servers to create another bump. Certainly they are not doing anything wrong to play the pr game, but it says a lot when they have to take such dramatic steps, both at points when the voting was flat-lining to bump things along. Not to mention dragging most of the 750k+ tier down to 500k+ At the end of the day, the people who aren't going to vote aren't going to vote, these "dramatic" steps of marketing only help to spread the word and get a more true interest in the servers. If Jagex didn't market it as much as they could they would be stupid. I see you acknowledged there's nothing wrong with it, but you seem to speak of it in negative tone like it is a problem. For me personally, i know a couple of people that weren't gonna vote for the servers and ended up voting after jagex bribed them into playing by offering first month free. This goes far beyong just "marketing", it was a full on bribe, vote yes for this and get immediate access to the server with no payment cost. Majority of my friend list (again personal experience) voted yes for it just to see what it was like and then immediately went back to the live game or other games they were playing.

Could someone explain to me why i'm still being advertised to go and vote for the servers? Today was the 4th time it appeared and i once again clicked the option to not show this again.

Apparently by holding down the "Alt" button and pressing certain keys, you can crash anyone who is playing 2k7 scape. Just had it done to me 3 times in a row lol

After i got out of tutorial island there was a group of people complaining about how Jagex was just a greedy company and they should have made it a 2011 server. Some things never change

If the poll goes down do the servers have to go down as well. #Logic I feel like i'm being super trolled right now but oh well. Did you even read what their conversation was about? They were talking about the potential that Jagex has rigged the voting, manually adding in votes. Someone asked for proof, they responded with Jagex having done so before. The guy then asks to proof of this, then that link was given. That's it. Calm down man, for someone who should be really happy that you're getting your server back in 2 days you seem to be really angry at everyone here and basically telling them to go f**k themselves. Just a game.

I don't suppose the fact that they've done it before counts? Again, got any proof? Anything? Geniune question this time. I'll give it a shot, although i will say rigging is a bit of a harsh word. More like Blatant mishandling. 1. Bribing players by saying that anyone who votes for it gets free membership on it first month. 2. Urging players to vote for it even if they're not planning to play it, just do it for your friends. 3. Advertising over the Website, lobby, in game, and there various social media accounts. 4. They voting yes for it. 5. They having the server ready somehow, not even a week into voting yet. 6. Allowing players to make 2 new membership accounts for 2 dollars just so they can votes yes for it. (Although i heard you couldn't do this anymore) 7. Lowering the tiers and flat out removing the 750k vote benefits to be moved down to the 500k ones. Some of the ones that i could think of the top off my head, a bit busy now but if anyone could add on to it it would be nice.

I'd like to point out something, to you, and everyone that won't play these servers but continue on EoC. Until the poll hits 500,000 votes, there is no development team or maintenance. While I can't sit here and say for sure, but I feel as if this will effect the normal game, if they have no extra people, some will have to watch over these new ones, that is for sure, you can't just leave a game server running and never have to do anything to it. Just a thought, not telling you that you have to vote, still up to you, but think about it before completely shutting the idea out. With 250k+ votes (The amount jagex is gunning for) it will come with a small team and basic level of maintenance. I believe it was changed today, giving many of the bonuses of the 500k+ votes to the 250k+ votes. Jagex essentially gave you a free 250k+ votes in one day for your server. I don't understand why you need our support, seeing as how Jagex seems bent on manipulating votes and moving the Goal post for your sake. You're gonna get 250k votes for sure and maybe 500k votes if Jagex decides to give you that as well. Good luck with your new server and team.

Wasn't aiming at you, idk why you think i was . It was more towards teknofield( I even said his name in the post)who makes it pretty clear he doesn't want an 07scape server but more of a server that gets every update he likes and none that he doesn't. EDIT: Messed up on the quoting thing :/ kinda of new to the site so yea.

After jagex releases the 07scape server, they should also release another 07scape server. The first 07scape server to constantly be updated with what everyone wants (like teknofield said) and the second 07scape server to be stagnant. But why stop there? They should make an 08scape server an 09scape server an 10scape server. And when we it's 2018 they should make a 15scape server, c'mon jagex we pay we say give me my server. Give everyone their own server make everyone happy.

Ok I am starting to wonder, do you notice that no one really pays attention to what you say ? Apparently you just did. I'm like the only active supporter on here. I was thinking Tip.it would be the same but times have really changed lol. There are other supporters here. I think the main reason why people are ignoring it is because this is not Youtube, spamming every 5, 10, or 20k milestone is not necessary. When it reaches a real milestone, such as the 250k 500k or 750 ones, then people would probably find it noteworthy.

Jagex is spamming the hell out of players to vote for it. Showing advertisements on the homepage, lobby, log in screen, facebook etc. They're also offering free first month membership to the people who vote for it. I think there's other stuff but i'm forgetting it right now.
