yeah the way up there are throwing trolls, which hit u hard if u dont use missile protections and just watch the other trolls, and take food If ur gonna kill the general for the quest, use protect prayer cause he can hit up to 38

No u dont have to do the quest, only start him go on the raft use rope and dig before the dead tree

taverly dungeon, i killed like 50 today and got clue... but you never know..
