This is not a rant! I just want to see and discuss people's opinions on scamming. First a little history of me. I started playing Runescape in September 2002. I was never an amazing leveler, and I haven't "achieved" anything in eyes of most people. I was however an avid reader of Tip.it forums, never really posted much, but I did read alot. When Runescape 2 came out, I saw the decline of the "good" population in Runescape. Most people left RS to other MMORPGs where they could escape the growing number of n00bs and 1337ppl. I was tempted to go with them, but i stuck with RS because I was against the idea of paying to play a game (I was F2P 90% of my RS life). When school and exams came into my life I was forced to leave RS for quite awhile. When i cam back I found that most my friends left for games such as World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Also the number beggars and bots on Runescape was too much to bear. I was just about to quit, when my friend told me of a scam that we could do to make some money. His scam was very simple, but it worked like charm. The scam required two people. First of all one of the scammers would take a sizeable amount of money, e.g 300k+, and a decent weapon, R2H, etc. Then he would go into Falador or Varrock and say: "Quitting RS!! Giving away 300k and a R2H!!!! Amazingly, the scammer would soon have a decent sized group messaging him and telling him to give it to them. The scammer would then tell them to follow him and he would go to a small corner, far from large groups. This is where the second scammer comes in. The First scammer would say: "To get the R2H, you must answer my question. First to answer, gets the prize" The First scammer then gives the question, the second scammer already knowing the answer, is the first to answer and gets the R2H. He then walks around and acts exciting shouting: "It worked!! he gave me my R2h!! The crowd, now eager for the 300k is listening intently to the First scammer. He then tells them: "To get the 300k, you have to play a trust game. You give me 1gp and ill give it to you back. The one who trusts me the most, gets the 300k" Some of the crowd will leave, but not the inexperienced, power-hungry mid-levels. They eagerlly give the money starting at 1gp, then 1k, then 100k, even 1000k! When the first scammer thinks he has milked his group enough he just logs out with the money. As simple as that. I was soon banned, but i had accumlated 6000k in the process. I quit after i was banned and I joined World of Warcraft (believe me, you pay more you get more :D ). But, back to the orginal topic, why is scamming against the rules? In my scams, I never used third-party programs, or bots. I never forced anyone one to give me their money. In fact, i asked them to give me their money, and they gave it to me. Technically, they were stupid enough to give someone their money, shouldn't they be reprimanded? Scamming doesn't do anything to make the game easier, it doesn't effect the game mechanics, all I was doing was feeding on the greed of other players, who wanted a free lunch. So, what do you think about this, Do you still think that scamming should be a bannable offence, or do you agree with me, that stupidity shouldn't be rewarded? Please post your opininons, not your flames. P.S. For anyone stupid enough to try the scam above, you deserve a slap.

Are these good stats for a whip-only staker 80 attack 85 strength 70 defense 75-ish hitpoints 1 prayer would these stats be good or do you have any better suggestions.

on my first day on rs (RSC) i bought a blue phat from the general store for 3gp. then traded for full steel a week later

they should put better games in the house but a nice option to have would be betting over the winner, like staking but with games 8-)

rock crabs are good but if somebody comes with a cannon it is hard to train there. so i reccomend experiments

im makin a whip only staker and i was wondering what stats should i get.

how many bronze arrows will it take to get from 1-70 range with out picking the arrows up? thanks for all the help

okay thnks eye merchant, i will go with knives. Anybody have any idea how much i will need?

I just got 70 range on my pure and want to get 99 range on it. Which would be faster, Iron Knives or Iron Arrows? Also how much do you think i will need(i will not be picking up arrows/knives)? Thanks for all the help

Bored of training at training at the crowded places such as rock crabs and experiments? Annoyed of your 3 defense and you 2 prayer that you got by mistake? Well this guide will tell you how train fast and efficiently without having to worry about food, pots and especially noobs with a cannon... if you just want a quicker way to train your pure skip this bit, if you want a new ownage pure read on.. What you need: -A new character with an ownage name -Set of scimitars iron to rune (you can get dragon but i perfer to skip it because of annoying quests) -Abyssal whip (cmon! you paid membership for this guy, you should be able to afford an abyssal whip) The next items are optional, but would you would more exp: -Glory ammy (fury if you can afford it) -Obsidian Cape THE NEXT ITEM IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM OF THEM ALL, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UTILIZE THIS METHOD WITHOUT IT -A friend who is starting a P2P pure just like you, level and everything. You should probably find a friend like this before you make a new account. Real-life friends are the best. OK this is method: 1.Agree with your friend a time when you will both be on. 2.Both of you go to the duel arena 3.Put all your weapons in your inventory 4.Wield your best weapon 5.Challenge each other, choose no movement 6.Duel each other, when one person dies, repeat from step 5 That's it. You probably think this is a slow way of training, but its not. Since you both have high strength and low defnse and no armour, you will kill each other in 7-10 seconds, believe me, its quick. When you both get 50 hitpoints thats 200exp. if you playone hour a day thats 200x360 (360 duels in an hour) = 72k exp an hour if you both play 3 hours a day thats 72000x3=216k exp a day! 70 attack and 80 strength is 2,723.695 exp 2,723,695/216000 = 13 days. In less than 2 weeks you will have 70 attack and 80 strength. Pretty ownage eh?

This is excellent, better then any other F2P pure p'king gide i 've seen. This should be stickied

bumpy bumpy. BTW i dont recommened killing hill giants at lvl 21. Melee training should never need lots of food and at level 21 you might be eating 1-3 food items per hill giant. You should always try to aim 2-3 npc's before item of food, that way you should be able to kill around 80 before banking.

That's a great idea, and i bet that if alot of ppl on tip.it put their minds to it you would have a skill (or extension to a skill) that would be really good... then jagex would f*** it up but ah well everything has its doom. oh and POH? i really REALLY hate the idea coz you get all these 7yr olds playin rs saying " oh look you can make a house in this game!! it soo much better then neopets!" :roll: BUT back on topic ( i ranted a bit :oops: ) summoning would really be great just like ancient magic it would put an edge to the game and new tactics would be formed. but please jagex if your going to release a new skill make it something worthwhile and most of all challenging cause farming was a waste of time!!
