  1. One thing that alot of parents seem to miss is, that if you shelter your kids as much as most kids in the US are, they won't be able to make decisions on their own and will not end up as well adjusted young adults. In my experience, the mothers in places like Argentina are much better parents because they don't have the resources (or any reason) to shelter their kids from from the rest of the world. If a kid is old enough to know not to get in a strangers car, the parents will not follow them around or even worry about them. Although many parents would not like to admit it, the world is not a nice-happy-fun place. At some time or another their kids will have to learn that taking a beer handed to them by a stranger is not a good idea. Unfortunately, often times the only way kids will grasp this concept is when it happens to them and they think, "Oh, maybe this isn't as cool as it seemed".
  2. If we're talking about obtainable cars, mine would be the Pontiac GTO. I rented one once, and believe me, that is a fun RWD car. Maybe a Caterham also. \
  3. It is pretty tame compared to some of the crap you see on Hondas sometimes. It isn't like those "body kits" that you see on the '94 Civics in your local high school parking lot.
  4. I'm afraid this might turn into an argument, but if you want some "for show" stuff, go with the Honda kit. If you are looking for more performance you would have to go aftermarket, and I don't just mean some stupid coffee can exhaust tip. In short, I wouldn't bother, it's an overpriced gimmicky thing IMHO.
  5. Heres my newest computer: Dell Dimension E510 Ultra 500w PSU EVGA 7600GT 256mb P4 3.0 Ghz 1 Gig DDR2 Dual Channel
  6. I hate to say it, but most cars made today are mass production. It's kinda the point. Anyway, in recent years Volvo has started looking into performance more as well as safety, which they have always been best in.
  7. 64 Chevy Impala SS. It helps that I own one.
  8. Excellent. I got an 18 piece that I liberated from someone who couldn't use it :) Heh heh, glad to see some other lock pickers. I got into it as a hobby when I was ten and it kept me mildly entertained. I don't see why people treat me like I'm evil or something, it's not like I break into houses. I would put something like "most of the time" here, but it's lame when people do that. Anyway, -I'm not depressed -I'm not emo -I don't come to Tip.it to talk about my imaginary girlfriends -I won't claim to have a IQ of 150 -I like alternative rock -I LOVE my 64 Chevy Impala SS -I won't pretend to be some macho guy who "won't hit unless you hit me first" -I like animating in flash 8 and using Photoshop CS2
  9. I'm mostly a PC gamer, but the only console I have is my N64. The first game I got was Top Gear Rally and the OoT, nowadays I have like 30-40 games for it. I think I'll get a Wii though...
  10. Heh, in Wisconsin we have a foot of snow and icy roads but we haven't had a snow day in a few years. You all get off so easy :shame: The school board see's it as a matter of pride that they won't close snow for a foot of school. Sigh...
  11. Im afraid that wouldn't really be possible, unless you had a dedicated hosting service with a fast dedicated server and huge amounts of bandwidth. I think.
  12. Any program made by Hewlett-Packard (scanning software, printer drivers, etc) They never feel properly intergrated with your system or the other programs that they feel the need to use.
  13. If the manual says not to fill it up, you shouldn't. I'm not sure why, but it may be because heat expansion will cause it to either blow up or just leak out.
  14. Unfortunately, most places won't hire a 14 year old kid to work with computers even if he says he's "teh 1337 h4xor." If you did want to get into that you could wait a few years and try to get a job at geek squad. The thing about most of the people at geek squad is that they don't really know all that much more than basic computer maintenance most of the time.
  15. So what language are you programming this in? This isn't another script kiddies C# "uber pwnage game" I hope #-o? As long as it isn't, best of luck!
