  1. Lol...this idea needs a LOT.

What are the stats of these weapons? How do you obtain them? Are they quest related? How much would they be worth? Do they have any specials? Do they have any requirements?

As you can see, just posting the idea of making God Melee Weapons isn't enough...you actually need to give info on what they are used for, and why we'd want them.

  2. Is this worse than my ideas?

    No...

Back on topic. If you think the 100, 1000, 10000 options should be added, what about those of us to tend to need 100000 or even 1000000? Not everyone has the same income as everyone else, and the reason it stays at 1, 5, 10 is because lower level players won't have 100, 1000, or 10000 coins. They start from the bottom so that everyone can benefit from it.

Besides...is it SO difficult to click "X", type in a number, and hit enter?

  3. As limpxbizkid already stated...try to help forums. These are the discussion forums.

However, I bring: My best melee armor, runes and the slayer staff to cast the dart spell on the melee brothers, a spade, 6 prayer pots, ectophial, and fill the remaining spots with shark.

  4. I understand that pressing buttons may add too much of a challenge to the game for some of the people on these forums. Some people can bearly find the letters of their own name on the keyboard. So, think how hard it would be to *gasp* learn to press a button they assigned to an in game action! I mean, that would give people who can play with two hands, or who own a keyboard, an unfair advantage!

    On a more serious note:

The number one rule in a game deveoper's rule book is: Don't make the game harder to control to increase the difficulty of the game!

    Consider this.

Jagex decides they want to make the game harder. So, they make the mouse 100x more sensitive than it is now. It would make the game harder, yes, but it would just be plain stupid. Making the game harder to control is a cheap way of adding difficulty, at the expense of a rich gaming experience.

Lol...do you honestly believe a singular word you said? Because I don't.

Look...Runescape isn't made to be easy. It's supposed to be a challenging game at times...and I'm almost positive that clicking is the LEAST of anyone's worries. Adding hotkeys would add problems relating to typing out numbers and words. This is not needed a bit. I'm sure that if Jagex had taken out powermining, they'd surely never let something like this leak in.

We're not complaining that you're idea of "remembering" keys would cause confusion. We're complaining that your idea is horribly thought out, and is entirely unecessary. If you can't click the mouse, than surely you can't press a button.

  5. I understand where you're coming from, and that, as a new player, it may be alright to have yourself pushed in the correct direction...however, as a very high moraled player, I realize that I play the game for myself and only myself. I wouldn't get NEARLY as much pleasure from looking at my whip if I knew half of it was not even gained by me. I'd rather have the understanding that I as a singular player gained that money, and that much more respect for playing the game.

And yes...you're probably right, I'd *pick up* a whip if I knew someone had died and lost it, because that's part of the game. If someone has died due to causes out of your control, then you accept that it is a circumstance given to you by the game itself, and simply move on. However, if someone randomly set up a trade, put in a whip, and pressed accept...I wouldn't accept.

I'm not greedy, and I'm not a bad player. Most levels would take a whip, lpinkus...but not me. That's just how I feel about things like this.

Also, to further this, I do not think it's morally right that just because you know certain people (have "connections") that you should gain any advantage over players who work equally or possibly harder than you. It's like how it happens in today's society...just because someone is "connected" to someone means that they get more things for doing nothing. Not worthy of respect, in my eyes. :?

  6. What's even more sad is when you're own FRIENDS decide to beg for stuff from you. Here's the story:

I've known this guy since I started paying for members, and he's always kept me in real great company, and I will agree is smarter than a LOT of those other noobs I have seen in the Runescape society...however, he has a tendancy to...well...beg.

Just recently, he's been chopping magic logs in hopes of gaining enough money for an Abyssal Whip. I of course give him my support, but promptly inform him that I will NOT loan him anything to help pay for his whip, because even though I DO have one myself, I still need to save for my upcomming dragon sqaure. I also inform him that even if I didn't NEED the money, I wouldn't give it away because I believe strongly in morals. I myself have NEVER accepted anything from anybody, and have always worked for everything I own.

So he shrugs it off and goes about his business...well, moments later, he private messages me again saying he had just bought a whip. I, being bedazzled as to how he could have made 1 million gp in less than 2 minutes, asked him how he got the money. He told me that one of his "friends" had just out of the blue given him 1000k, and that the other 4.8mill he had previously was only half worked for! Yes...he had been talking people into giving him thousands upon thousands of gp, to the point where his supposed "5 days" of woodcutting only managed to get him 2k logs.

Basically...out of the 5.8 mill he spent on his whip, only 2mill of it was actually his...the rest was given to him by people he had just met days ago.

This angers me...to the point where I yelled at him. I do NOT care if someone has offered to give you something, or even BEGGED you to take it from them...you just shouldn't take it...it's WRONG. As I said, right now I currently have an outfit worth 13mill (whip, d legs and med, zamorak plate, the whole works) and every last gp to the dot was gained by me and ONLY me. I never once begged, asked politely, or accepted any sort of donations from anybody. I chopped, I went to the barrows, and I slayed. Everything was from my own expenses, and it angers me that someone who's got 10mill less total exp than I, who doesn't work even half as hard as I do, just gets 3.8mill shoved in front of him for free.

Anyone else feel the same way about this?

  7.

Well the formula for when aggressive monsters stop attacking you is:

    Your Combat Level = (Monster's combat level * 2) + 1

So if you're combat 101, anything that's level 50 or below will NOT attack you.

So if this amulet was made, it shouldn't make it so EVERYTHING under you level can't attack you, because it would cause problems for quests, etc...however...if it made it so monsters 3/4 and below your level couldn't attack you, THAT would be acceptable.

So if you're level 100, whilst wearing this amulet, nothing 75 or below can attack you. However...the amulet would also have to give absolutely no bonuses...otherwise it would be too good.

well, that formula is not exactly true.

for example, even at lvl 126, the lvl 6 giant rats all over lvl 2 and lvl 3 wilderniss still attack you.

very annoying it must be for a mage who has set auto-cast on ice barrage and is now wasting 3-4k by casting that 1 spell on a giant rat.

Well, I wasn't under the impression we were discussing the monsters in the wilderness...but yes, that would be correct.

But my formula is still true, and the amulet would only have to apply for non-wilderness areas. The wilderness is meant to be unsafe, even if they ARE only level 6 rats attacking you. :?

  9. Lol...the ideas that make me angry the most are the "summoning" ideas. They're lame, in my honest opinion...so Diango could sell "Summoning Staves" for say 10k.

You equip them, and in order to cast their spell you'd need like 20 bloods, 20 souls, and 40 chaos...then when you used the "summoning spell," a blade of grass would just pop up and it would say "Whoo hoo! A blade of grass!"

Sure would show all of them how lame their ideas are. Hehehe.

  10. You contradicted yourself SO much in that plot, it isn't even funny. First off, you say that Zith was the form of all three gods, yada yada, and then you diminish the spirit of zith and the gods come out to thank you. Why would the gods thank you for diminishing them (or their formed one-self embodiment)?

Second of all...no matter whether it was meant as a joke or something (if it was, I'm not laughing) the gods would never announce you a "new god" and they most certainly wouldn't "hail" you. Please, make your ideas more realistic according to Runescape folklore.

Also, Jagex has already said Guthix was THE first god. He created Runescape, and then when he rested saradomin and zamorak came out and started a war. Zaros and Armaedyl fit in there somewhere also...but I'm not sure where.

Anyways...this is an un-needed idea. It's lame, and there's no way Jagex would ever incorporate a quest like this. Also, NINJA is a horrible word choice. I'm sorry, but once again I'll say: Runescape is not meant for ninjas. It is meant for nymphs, spirits, dragons, knights, gnomes, elves, kings, goblins, etc etc. If ninjas or anything ninja related was put into Runescape, you may as well add a lightsaber along with it...because THAT would be the general direction we'd be heading in.

So there. I think your idea needs fine-tuning...a lot. It's my opinion, and I'll say what I must.

  11. I don't really understand the point of this, really. Basically, all it seems like is an exact replica of a magic shortbow with a *tad* bit better special.

Maybe if you gave it a purpose...i might like it. But right now, you haven't got me convinced.

  12. Usually...when I get these they are as follows:

    Reasons the person pm'ed me:

    A. Just because they see my whip/dragon armor and assume I'll give them free stuff.

    B. Had me on their list from a previous trade and couldn't remember me.

    C. A friend that I know, but they can't remember me because at the moment they are on a mind-altering drug.

    D. Some random person, not begging, but just randomly pming me for fun.

    My solutions:

    A. I reply "Only aftr u giv meh free st00f pl0x!" followed by a "Just get lost, neanderthal."

    B. If I remember trading them, I remind them why, if not, I assume we traded and say "Well, we probably traded before, but could you please take me off your list. Thank you. :)"

    C. "Oh my god, man...you didn't listen to me did you???"

    D. *Adds another useless idiot to my ever-growing ignore list*

In conclusion: Unless you've done something to earn my respect, or we have been talking for quite a while and I grow fond of you, I'll add and keep you as a friend. But I don't add friends just because I traded with someone. If I did that, too many idiots would be pming me right now. Sorry...but I'd rather NOT get a million pms whilst at The Barrows.

  13. Come on guys, I know Blaziken's idea is funny and not very well thought, but whale fishing is not a bad idea afterall, it just need some polishing and tuning.

I would suggest increase the fishing level requirement to 80+ (85 maybe), and require 90+ cooking level.

As for the fishing gear and location problems, I have a solution that handles both. It is the FISHING TRAWLER MINI GAME! It makes sense since you are going out to the ocean on a well equipped and manned (hopefully) fishing ship. So let's get onboard and catch some really big fish!!! (Ooops....whale is not a fish, it's a mammal)

We never said fishing for whale was a bad idea. We said fishing (no...NETTING) for underground whale at level 55 fishing that heal 30 hp (Which is 8 * 4, remember? lmao) was a bad idea. Blaziken has a reputation for not thinking before he posts. If he just took some time to actually fine tune his ideas and do some RESEARCH...he might actually get some good responses.

    But this...no. This is garbage.

  14. *clapclap* Looks like you've put great thought and effort into this one. I wish SOME people would follow more in your footsteps rather than cluttering the forums with useless stuff.

But this...this is great! I love it. There's only one thing that irks me...and it isn't even a big irk, either. Your "You will pay for this!" shout seems just a *tad* bit too strong. Perhaps, to level it out, either make it work when under 25% hp, or make it so that the defense level of the opponent is only 25% reduced.

Either way...this is great stuff. I wouldn't mind seeing it improvised.

  15. Lol...good idea.

If you REALLY wish to see some useless, idiotic ideas...just look for the person who's name appears the most on the "authors" section of the Discussion forums. Compared to his posts, coffee sounds like the new Dragon Plate. Won't name names...but you know who it is.

  16. I, unlike some people, realize that making an idea on these forums is futile, as it will never be implemented, unless by pure random chance. I choose not to waste my time on an insignificant forum post that had no effect on anything whatsoever.

Exactly. And by the way, Godslayer...I second your motion of nomination for TheBlazikenMaster. He IS the most idiotic of our lot...and anyone who denies this has to be on some type of mind-altering medication.

  17.

I know everyone that has ventured in the wild and had this done to them.....the person they wanted to attack logs out before combat is initated. I hate that with a passion(ranting) but i have a suggestion

JaGeX could modify the game so that when anyone who enters the wild can't log out until they get all the way out of the wild. I mean really...why go if your just going to log out? it's not called the "wild" for nothing. I think JaGeX should make the wild live up to it's name to the fullest and put this modification in the game.

    Agreed 99.8%

How can you possibly agree to that; even 99.8% of it? What if some unforseen dire emergency unfurled itself before you. I'm almost positive you wouldn't want to go into the wilderness (with logging out disabled) if you KNEW something urgent would happen when you did...but people aren't fortune tellers...so they wouldn't know.

Face the facts. This idea is rotten.

  18. Crim...you kind of got your quote tags messed up a bit there.

Anyways...no. Fletching isn't coming to free worlds. And if it was, Jagex would say "bye bye" to tons of member money. I for one wouldn't be happy if something I bought was suddenly given out to the public. No way.

And as to the person who posted that members are all greedy "children" that only play because our "mums and dads" pay for us...I take extreme offense to that. First of all, I pay my members account off with my own money. My parents do not pay for me. I have a job, a car, and money of my own. I'm pretty damn sure that if I wanted to buy more than one members account now, I very well could. (That would be a waste of money...but just proving a point here)

  19. it should be simple but it is not.

i think it should be u buy a necklace of the wilderness, u cant put it on or take it off inside the wilderness(or some thing to that effect)

this necklace allows u to not be killed or kill anyone else.

That is an idea I've been begging for for months. But there is one thing I'd change about that particular idea. It would have to be made so that it cannot be taken on or off whilst inside the wilderness. Otherwise people would go in, ready to pk someone lower than them...then they see a really high leveled pker come by, and they slap on the necklace. See? That would be bad.

But if you have to equip/unequip it outside the wilderness ONLY, then yeah...I'll go for that idea.

  20. You know...nowadays when browsing these forums, I tend to SEARCH for Blaiken's daily posts...because they tend to provide me with all the laughter and entertainment for weeks to come. Perhaps I'll print these and show my future grandchildren what brainless oafs existed in my time period.

It's bad, blaziken...as are the rest of your ideas. I'll be surprise if you can ever convert me to actually liking one of you ideas.

  21. There is NO proof that JaGeX is going to bring fletching into free2play because it would make lots of members quite members and change to free because you'd have to admit that fletching is THE highlight of members.

It is THE highlight because it is easy to level and is a good money maker. Also JaGeX would have to change so many things that it would be too much of a hassle.

I'm sorry to say this but fletching is not comming to free for a long time :!:

Lol...I'll agree. His friend is a moron and doesn't know what he is talking about...but fletching is not the highlight of members. I sure as *bleep* didn't join because of it...and once I got 75 woodcutting, fletching was OUT. High alching Magic Longbows isn't worth it, because if you buy all the raw materials, it costs you the same amount of money that your going to get back. So...oh yeah, it's free fletching experience...but what good is fletching anyways if the highest thing you can fletch is magic longbows at 85?

Now...while fletching is better at lower levels...I definetly wouldn't go so far as to say it's "THE highlight" of members.

  22. Tell them you have to get one deep deep in the wilderness.

That sort of ignorance is just plain unacceptable....

Level doesn't measure maturity and intelligence. I'm tired of people assuming this. I have seen "Noobs" from level 3 all the way up to level 115.

Also, many MANY players did not know how to drop method the blurite sword when they did that quest...therefor, they did not get one, and didn't know you could. And ignorance isn't some that is "unacceptable"...purposely BEING ignorant is. If those people kept asking him/her about the sword even when they already knew what it was and how to get it...then yes...THAT would be unacceptable.

That's like saying this: "Crim_Nimora...please correctly repeat word for word every definition in the latest edition of the Webster's Dictionary...oh...what's this? You can't? Well that ignorance is completely unacceptable."

You can't know what you haven't been told...but once you are told, you should retain the information.
