  1. Had a 4.0+ in high school (1st in class actually) and now I've got a solid 3.2 at a very challenging engineering school. College started out a little rough but my past 2 semesters have been 4.0s so I'd say I've gotten the hang of it. Only 2 more semesters to go woo!
  2. I just got a lvl 3 that said to equip an addy square shield, blue dragon vambs, and a rune pickaxe. I agree, needing all these new items is MADNESS.
  3. I think I posted here a loooong time ago, but the idea is still great. I do have a contribution to make though. I think the split item idea is great and should be implemented, just not in the way you have it listed. Rather than dividing items into 2 equal piles with half the original amount, the items should be divided into two piles that both have the original amount, then whenever an item is taken from or added to either pile they both increase or decrease. An easy way to think about it is that the numbers on the piles do not represent the number of a particular item in that pile, but rather the total number of that item in the bank. This concept would work like a pointer in c++. Each item stack would not take up an additional bankspace they just let you have access to that items pile from multiple locations within your bank. Hope everybody likes it.
  4. Nice Guide. It can use some of the additions mentioned above, but you're off to a great start. I must say that i find fault with the following comment tho Jagex does not have control over where you are when you are logged in. Macroing and AFK training are two totally different things. One involves using other programs to play for you and is illegal. The other uses only runescape and breaks no rules. Sorry but im sick of people acting like jagex are omnipotent gods who spy on every player looking for the slightest excuse to ban them. The only way anyone is going to get banned is by breaking the rules. Not by leaving their pc while monsters aggro, or even by leaving the pc with the left arrow taped down (camera spins, leaves you logged in). End of rant :P
  5. Not exactly a guide, but useful info none the less.
  6. I hate the new interface. Form should follow function, and even if Jagex was going for form... they missed it by a long shot. The old interface was much more utilitarian, simple and sleek. I desperately hope they bring it back or give people the option of which interface to use.
  7. My favorite way to train prayer is shade burning, assuming you have the firemaking lvl do do so. It gives you ok prayer xp plus you can make some nice bank.
  8. "Help & Advice: Ask All RuneScape-related questions in this forum. Get training, skill, money-making, and all RuneScape advice here!" I don't see how this belongs in Help and Advice, but whatever.
  9. I don't think people understand the true ramification of this. Now there will be a new era of philisophical debat in runescape fueled by the question "Which came first, the Tzhaar or the egg?" :P
  10. You wouldn't need pures to do this experiment, just people with various lvls of attack paired up with people of varying defense levels. What I'd say would be the best method would be to have a people with lvl 1, 10, 20, 30...99 attack do trials against people of all the other levels of defense. So for example you have a lvl 1 atk char paired up with a lvl 1 def, a lvl 10 def and so on, then repeat with lvl 10 up to 99 attack. Since the chance of hitting should be equal between any two pairs of the same levels (ie. any 20atk vs any 20def stands the same chance of hitting) no one person will have to do an enormous number of trials. If enough people join each person would only have to do a few trials of say 250 attacks per trial to get decent data. If this does take off and you want some help compiling the data I know a bit about statistics and some of my friends are hella crazy good at em.
  11. Off topic, but are you a mathimatician or computer scientist Nuke? I ask because this is'nt the first time I've seen you asking people to gather imperical data to base your calculations off of. Regardless you'd fit right in in alot of my engineering classes :D
  12. I'll be there without a doubt. I've never barrowed and was hoping Leesters was gonna do this one. Growin my Rannars too :D Invasions always turn out great. I vote that TET hosts one every month.
  13. Great guide! I'd like to add that there are a couple other advantages of burying dragon bones. If you get the gravedigger random, you can deposit your loot via the masoulem and have room to pick up more hides/runes (figured that trick out while training on mossies). The other advantage is that if you do happen to get PK'd, at least you got some prayer exp :) EDIT: I just thought about this. If you pray meele against dragons, monks robes are a better bet than Initiate because they dont lower your magic defense, which means dragon fire will hit less often. Just a thought.
  14. Out of fairness I'd like to point out that many common symbols today are of pagan origin, the Easter Bunny and Christmas tree formost among them. The Easter Bunny was originally a fertility god (ya know how bunnies multiply  ) and the Christmas Tree was a traditon among early Germanic tribes in which prisoners were placed into a giant wicker tree which was then lit on fire. Christianity later adopted these symbols in a effort to help convert pagans and because christian holidays (Easter and Christmas) occured at roughly the same time as the older pagan festivals
