  1. If anybody is interested in text-based online RTS games, I'm developing one myself in PHP. It's not quite ready yet, but it's getting pretty close. Since I'm developing it from scratch, including the game engine, it's taking longer than building a game on top of an existing game engine obviously. A public beta test will be opened up sometime within the next month or two. The official website is: http://www.groundsforwar.com forums can be found at: http://www.groundsforwar.com/forum so come by and stay to chat! Also the official development blog for GFW can be found at: http://www.groundsforwar.com/blog More at my homepage: http://www.magsec4.net Thanks for reading, and I hope you join our community and enjoy your stay. Thanks!
  2. I was just wondering if anyone still plays them... I'm kind of developing my own text-based MMORPG as something to do in my spare time (because I've always wanted to put my knowledge of PHP to better use than just making a news script for my website)... My game is almost ready for a public beta test, but I'm wondering if I should still continue developing it, because it might not be worth it if nobody would want to play. In case anyone's wondering, gameplay will be similar to OGame (if you've ever played that) except players will be get to run their own medieval fantasy cities, build up armies, fight other cities, etc... Reply back if you play text-based MMORPGs (or if you don't and still want to chat) and why :) .
