I've had ideas churning in my head as I play Runescape, and I've always liked the ability to make your own weaponry. Perhaps weapon "moulds" could be put into use. There could be moulds for every type of weapon, such as scimitar, longsword, ect. A mold would be used in the same way as a holy mould. They would have to be one metal type higher than the weapon they are made for, as in, an iron sword mould would be needed to make a bronze sword. I think the moulds should be able to be made as soon as a player can smith a metal, like a steel mould can be made at 30, iron at 15, and so on. Also, I believe custom weapons could be made. There would be several types of add-ons, like barbs for a stab increase, weights for crushing, and blades for slashing. The player would smelt a bar and then hammer it into the desired add-on. The add-on could then be hammered (yes, I know it's unrealistic, but this is Runescape) onto the weapon. The add-ons would have to be the same material. There would be many more possibilities. You could, for example, make a sword and add barbs on, and the stab percentage would nearly double. There would obviously have to be some changes, such as for the scimitar, so that they use all three attack types. But then again, who wants a heavy scimitar?
