i agree with this post, you might wanto consider the risks of a relationship before committing yourself to one. personally, i dont believe its a good idea for to date at age 10. however, if you truely believe that this girl is right for you, then i think that at this stage in your life, it would be perfectly fine if you just went straight up to her afterschool and asked her to a movie.

this is a poorly constructed problem. to really solve it, you need to know the number of moles in each balloon. however, assuming that the number of moles are equal, then, yes, the lighter molecule is moving faster than the heavier one. we know this because we can think of gaseous pressure as the force generated by molecules striking the walls of their containers (in this case, the balloons). this force, which can be also loosely called kinetic energy, is determined by the mass of the molecules and their velocity (which in this case is the same as the speed). the mathematical formula for kinetic energy is KE=(1/2)(m)(v^2). now, you may also have learned that pressure, temperature, volume, and the number of moles are related in the equation PV=nRT (R=a constant). since the problem states that P, V, T, and n (assumingly) are all held constant, the only variables we are left with are m (particle mass) and v (velocity/speed). since pressure is equal (while n, V, and T are held constant), we also know that the molecules kinetic energy must also be equal. so, by simple mathematics, we can conclude that the molecule with the lower mass(m) must be moving at a greater velocity(v). in turnip's post, he pretty much used graham's law (i think that's what it was called) to illustrate the same principles. well, i hope that made sense. good luck. btw, i took ap chem last yr and got a 5 on my ap test. but i havnt touched chem in 2 months so take what i say with a grain of salt...haha

I saw a documentary about dinosaurs and cloning. For YEARS afterwards i feared that someday i would be eaten by a dinosaur clone.

but wut will COME CLEAR??? :wall: ahah ive tried typing in come/clear, come_clear, come clear, comeclear and any other possible combination, but none of them work.

could some1 give me a hint on the "death star come clear" level? im totally stuck... :(

well...i guess an argument over einsteins religious beliefs can take up a whole new thread, but i hope we can find common ground on what i said earlier :)
-
no, i mentioned einstein in order to show that religious is complex, and being religious does not lead to ignorance.
-
No where in that statement does it say he believes in a god, and the statement I quoted specifically shows he did not believe in a god. He specifically said he did not believe there was a God who concerned himself with human life. He did believe a spirit created created the universe...but not a god like Jews and Christians believe in. so he believes in a superior being...in other words, God.
-
einstein was also quoted saying: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." einsteins exact religious beliefs can be up for argument. but that exactly proves my point that religion is complex. there is no one definition of God. even if you dont believe that einstein was religious, simply replace his name with isaac newton--arguably one of the greatest geniuses the world has ever seen. the point is not that einstein is religious, but that religion does not lead to ignorance. i am really tired of seeing people consider themself intelectually superior simply because they are atheist.

Einstein was a pantheist; he believed that the universe was God. So his babbling about understanding God was really just him wanting to understand the laws of the universe. Nice try taking famous people's quotes out of context. no, einstein was jewish...he lived in nazi germany and was persecuted for his beliefs until he fled to the US
