  1. i agree with this post, you might wanto consider the risks of a relationship before committing yourself to one. personally, i dont believe its a good idea for to date at age 10. however, if you truely believe that this girl is right for you, then i think that at this stage in your life, it would be perfectly fine if you just went straight up to her afterschool and asked her to a movie.
  2. this is a poorly constructed problem. to really solve it, you need to know the number of moles in each balloon. however, assuming that the number of moles are equal, then, yes, the lighter molecule is moving faster than the heavier one. we know this because we can think of gaseous pressure as the force generated by molecules striking the walls of their containers (in this case, the balloons). this force, which can be also loosely called kinetic energy, is determined by the mass of the molecules and their velocity (which in this case is the same as the speed). the mathematical formula for kinetic energy is KE=(1/2)(m)(v^2). now, you may also have learned that pressure, temperature, volume, and the number of moles are related in the equation PV=nRT (R=a constant). since the problem states that P, V, T, and n (assumingly) are all held constant, the only variables we are left with are m (particle mass) and v (velocity/speed). since pressure is equal (while n, V, and T are held constant), we also know that the molecules kinetic energy must also be equal. so, by simple mathematics, we can conclude that the molecule with the lower mass(m) must be moving at a greater velocity(v). in turnip's post, he pretty much used graham's law (i think that's what it was called) to illustrate the same principles. well, i hope that made sense. good luck. btw, i took ap chem last yr and got a 5 on my ap test. but i havnt touched chem in 2 months so take what i say with a grain of salt...haha
  3. I saw a documentary about dinosaurs and cloning. For YEARS afterwards i feared that someday i would be eaten by a dinosaur clone.
  4. study like there is no tmr (may God have mercy on your soul). and SLEEP (at least 6-7 hrs..if possible 8). drink coffee/energy drinks as needed. good luck :)
  5. but wut will COME CLEAR??? :wall: ahah ive tried typing in come/clear, come_clear, come clear, comeclear and any other possible combination, but none of them work.
  6. could some1 give me a hint on the "death star come clear" level? im totally stuck... :(
  7. from personal experience, i never get acne unless i get stressed or dun get enough sleep. im 17. i have never intentionally used any facial clenser or any of that feminine crap. so in conclusion: eat well and sleep well.
  8. very nice work. :D id like to see something bigger tho.
  9. hey i dunno if u saw this sticky, but it should have all the info u need regarding rs2 items. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=315 ... +reference
  10. lol. talk about elitism. its just a public forum....
  11. well...i guess an argument over einsteins religious beliefs can take up a whole new thread, but i hope we can find common ground on what i said earlier :)
  12. no, i mentioned einstein in order to show that religious is complex, and being religious does not lead to ignorance.
  13. No where in that statement does it say he believes in a god, and the statement I quoted specifically shows he did not believe in a god. He specifically said he did not believe there was a God who concerned himself with human life. He did believe a spirit created created the universe...but not a god like Jews and Christians believe in. so he believes in a superior being...in other words, God.
  14. einstein was also quoted saying: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." einsteins exact religious beliefs can be up for argument. but that exactly proves my point that religion is complex. there is no one definition of God. even if you dont believe that einstein was religious, simply replace his name with isaac newton--arguably one of the greatest geniuses the world has ever seen. the point is not that einstein is religious, but that religion does not lead to ignorance. i am really tired of seeing people consider themself intelectually superior simply because they are atheist.
  15. Einstein was a pantheist; he believed that the universe was God. So his babbling about understanding God was really just him wanting to understand the laws of the universe. Nice try taking famous people's quotes out of context. no, einstein was jewish...he lived in nazi germany and was persecuted for his beliefs until he fled to the US
  16. of course youre entitled to your opinion. but like logic said, you should back up ur opinion with evidence to convince other ppl that your opinion is correct or insightful. if we all just sat here and nodded at other ppls opinions there wouldnt be any discussion :) anyways, yes, people have built upon einsteins ideas, but its not that these ideas are the cutting edge theories that make him smart. what distinguishes him as one of the most intelligent people in recent history is that he was able to come up with these theories (which are still extremely difficult for people to understand today. i dont understand the proof behind e=mc^2 and i doubt anyone on this forum could understand it either) and pave the way for further developements. relatively speaking, its very easy to understand something that someone else already came up with, but it is extremely difficult to take an innovative step into the unknown. anyways im getting off topic...
  17. great stuff there. :D i personally like the top one better though
  18. but science have NOT explained everything. far from it in fact. i could go on and on about the things science has not explained...just look at physics for example. just decades ago, scientists called physics a "complete science" and discouraged people from pursuing physics as a career because there simply isnt anything left to discover. but now, new fields of physics have opened up and we cannot even begin to understand how many many things work. and the bible is not a book to explain how things work, its a book for religious fulfillment and for helping you discover your way to God. sure, there are some sects of christianity that believe in a strict interpretation of the bible and take every word in it for its literal meaning. but the VAST majority of christians today believe in more or less a figurative interpretation. maybe. im not too sure because im still uncertain about my religious beliefs. again, religion is complex...if you cannot see that than you have no right to call others ignorant. God is NOT a man. Einstein believed in God. do you think he has the inteligence of a 5 yr old? please dont make any more comments like this. they do not contribute to the discussion at all and will only result in flaming and a lock.
  19. ? :? why cant God not be real? does the theory that everything suddenly came out of nothingness for no apparent reason make more sense? giveme some evidence that God does not exist. alot of stuff in the bible are figurative--many sects of christianity do not believe in a literally interpretation of the bible. 7 days does not necessarily mean 168 hours. and i also just wanto clarify that most christians DO NOT believe that God controls every aspect of our lives. every since the 18th century, an increasing number of people believe that God created a set of laws to govern nature and then stepped back to allow those laws to run their course.
  20. didnt this happen before? :? is it a new virus now?
  21. i had wanted to be a judge but i guess its too late  yea, really excited to see how this is gonna turn out. gl to both.
  22. that is awesome  did you use a reference? as far as cc goes, i feel there are still some minor anatomy errors. dont know if you intended it to be that way, but shoulder blades and rib cage are too low. and the bulge on his lower back should result from a bulge in his spinal cord, but right now it seems as if only the muscles are bulging while the spine is stright. um...the highlighted portion also seems a little too flat. but nevertheless, awesome job. 9/10
  23. number 1 looks nice, but the whole hearts thing have been done already. this is pretty much a remake of the other ones with just some minor tweeks. minus points for no originalitiy. so um....#3
  24. Adolpha

    When would you go?

the spanish inquisition. is this a liberal organization? if so, i suggest talking about fear and connecting it to 9/11 and the situation today.
