  1. [hide] [/hide] Indy, your solution is incorrect, you can't cancel the y's like that in the first step. They're not multiplicative. I'll post mine up in a minute once i've typed it out. Fairly self explanatory. [/hide] Assassin, your answer is the same as Indy's; however, your answer is expressed in a different way. If you split the numerator and cancel the x's, you will get the exact same answer. Both of you are correct. You both just did it in slightly different steps. Indy's first step is algebraically acceptable. He factored a y out of the numerator and denominator of the left fraction. This left a y/y which cancels out (y/y = 1). Edit: Indy beat me to it.
  2. Thanks for the input everyone, it looks like I am going to have to go on a downloading spree tonight. :D Although I am still looking for more options if anyone else has a recommendation. 8)
  3. I just bought a brand new dell inspiron xps gen 2 :D and I am looking for new software for my music/dvds. I am currently using musicmatch jukebox for music, however I am getting tired of the popups and its a resource hog. I am looking for something to play/rip/burn cds. I would like to be able to queue up many songs at once and let it go for a couple hours. I dont need any fancy options, I just want to be able to play music, rip music, and burn the occasional cd. As for the dvd software, what is the best software for viewing dvds and burning them (dual layer)? I use PowerDVD to view them, however I do not have any software to burn them. I don't mind downloading multiple programs. However, I would like something that can run in the background. I prefer free programs. :) Does anybody have any suggestions?
  4. I ordered a laptop online for college and I would like to transfer alot of videos/files/music from my current computer to my laptop. There are complex folder systems and many big files. Is there a way to connect my computers together or transfer the files between them while keeping the folders intact? I've emailed things to myself and burned cds in the past, but those destroy folders and are inefficient with something of this magnitude. Thanks, Elfio
  5. Sweet, now I know what to rent. Thanks! :D
