  1. I'm looking to make a list for each skill of equipment that'll help you do part of that skill better.

    For instance:

Things you should wear while Mining:

Amulet of Glory (charged) - Increases your chances of getting gems while mining.

Varrock Level 3 Armor - Chance of mining 2 ores at once

Spotted/Spottier Capes - reduces your weight so you can run more with your heavy ore

Boots of Lightness - reduces your weight

This kind of thing.. What else should I be wearing while I mine? (Pickaxe is obviously my weapon slot)

    What about other skills?

  2. I just want a 1 click tele for inventory space conservation/time.. i'm using astral tabs to get to the altar and was wondering if there was any way I could get to a bank about the same distance... I never have to run very far and I just click to tele... guess i'll settle with 2 click dueling ring

  3. quit if your board, games are supposted to be fun....

    or take a break

I'm not bored with the game though, I just want to give different aspects of the game a shot. I know a lot of players play the game much differently than Me so I was hoping to have some of those things revealed. It can't hurt to take up new activities in RS. But trying to fit in more info about this game into my head is becoming increasingly difficult lol

I've been interested in going to Dks so I might do that.. i hear they'll be fairly easy for me.

Also probably going to level summoning to 70 when I get a chance. I'm sure I have the charms to at least get some progress there (450 gold, 150 crimson, 500 green, 68 blue).

I'd like to be able to do all of those things I listed, but I feel like a lot of those things I am very far away from. I should do a tree planting run today so I can get to 73..

  4. potions are pathetically cheap anyways.. with the exception of prayer/super str (and maybe the brews?) I can't wait to be able to move some of my herblaw stuff for a decent price instead of basically having to give away super def/att pots.

Most people with the investment mind seem to be stocking up on food right now as they think demand will severely increase the prices.

  5. Okay, so I'm looking for something new to do (not boss hunting, I'm not into that) and something besides "whatever you want" lol

Quest points: 265 (every quest to date)

Achievement Diaries: 3 completed (every diary to date)

As you can see, I've attained levels where I can do almost everything and I've done most everything too.

I have no specific goals in mind like making money (got plenty) getting new armor/weapons (have what I want, can buy others)other than gaining further levels so I get closer to having max stats..

My daily playing time is usually tele to a couple places to make the stops I have to (zaff's staves, picking cactus spines and fruit trees, managing thy kingdom, that kinda stuff) then to get a slayer task and train up my combat a bit. It also generates further wealth (which I like a lot  )

So my question is, if you were me, what RS activity would you do? (besides gwd...)

  6. Someone said something about emotes...Umm, you can get all the emotes...(I got my ''Scared'' and ''Bunnyhop'' on my new character that wasn't originally around when they were given out the first time.

    tip.it emote guide says:

The "scared" emote could only be obtained during the 2005 or 2006 Halloween event, the "rabbit hop" emote during the 2006, 2007, or 2008 Easter event, the "zombie hand" emote during the 2007 Halloween event, the Snowman Dance during the 2007 Christmas event, and the "Egg Transform" emote during the 2008 Easter Event.

As you can see, they've done repeats, and I don't see any reason why they should discontinue this practice (I really wish I could get them now since I tend not to play during these holiday times.... as evident by my lack of holiday emotes now..

  7. ssbm, you don't have to thank someone every time they defend you...

Anyways, KingJD, if you think that skills show how long you've been playing, then think again. It's possible to get a 99 within a week or two of just beginning if you are truly dedicated. However, some spend years of playing to get just 1 skill maxed. N0valyfe is a good example of this, he didn't even play for very long before reaching #1.

With the holiday items, it's a guaranteed thing that you have been playing since at least the day of that holiday item's release.

In terms of game hours, it shows. Sure, you can get a 99 within roughly 2 weeks, but you have to play like 12+ hours a day just doing that one skill. So lets say you do that, 12hrs x 2 weeks = 168 game hours (aka playing 1 week straight without logging off) I might spend 1 hour a day over the next 168 days training that same skill and get to 99. The first person who spent their whole day doing the skill is much *more* dedicated than I. But I've played longer than that player.

  8. I was doing the new Great Orb minigame and apparently some player didn't like the way I was playing:

    staroffbs6.jpg

The saddest thing is this player was level 134 and still thought that typing asterisks instead of swear words made everything ok.

Actually.... in jagex's eyes, you wrongly reported him because the language filter (or the stars) did its job. =D>

  9. What would be the point of having the events every year then?

Because they're special holiday events that only happen 2 weeks out of the year every year? Something for the players to enjoy the game more? Add some variety to RuneScape?

You have to see it from the perspective of those who actually logged on during an inconvenience to do these events.
Were you really "inconvenienced" to log on from the 25th of December to the 10th of January? You're acting like you didn't want to play during the time frame that they have the events for, but these rewards "forced" you to. I'm guessing you probably log on almost every day. If you only play a little bit, you probably login at least once a week.

And it does impact the game for other players. I don't think it's fair if a level 3 is walking around with a scythe that he found yesterday when he started playing. Having these items shows your true dedication to runescape and how you were with them from the beginning.
I think your total level / combat level is a pretty obvious show of your "dedication" to runescape. Do you really feel a need to prove to someone that you've played longer than them?

Personally, I could care less and I've been playing since before Masks and Santa Hats were dropped. (off and on)

  10. I wish I could get the holiday emotes that I missed out on. I got all the drops and stuff, but never the emotes.

I think it would be nice for them to have a new holiday event each year in addition to the ones they previously designed. They aren't tradable anyways, it doesn't impact how others play the game at all. I just want my character to be able to do a couple more dances or something. (I hate having them grayed out, I've done every quest, every achievement, and I have every emote except for the holiday ones. :wall: )

No need to flame the guy for being wishful that he could get these items. They're 'worth' nothing. I haven't seen anyone wear their bunny ears, or a scythe, or a yoyo in ages. Mine sit quietly stored in my house because they just take up bank space otherwise.

I think an opportunity to redo these events since they started doing untradables/emote rewards would be excellent every holiday season.

  11. Just make an excel spreadsheet that you can plug in the prices of the herb+2nd+vial into for each potion... go to the mainpage and look up all the prices you need in the GE... then check the prices of the potions (for resale) and wala.. you've got whatevers most effective at that price.

Last time I did that (probably a month+ ago) prayer potions were losing me the least amount of money... in fact they may have been profitable if i bought the ranarr cheap enough.. since then the prices have come down for prayer potions though and I don't believe they're profitable anymore.

Still might be the best in terms of money... others like ranging potions might give you more xp/gp lost

  12. edit: well, that doesn't work out, the only thing I can think of is drawing a line from the air altar to the exact middle of the water and fire location  :wall: .

Well there has been things said about triangulating to find the stone.... where (roughly) does your intersection end up on the map?

If this quest indeed does involve the wizards, I expect we'll have to visit many of them. Theres the dark wizards tower (thats mostly useless) south of taverly that could come into play.. possibly as a WOM ally? Someone should take a look around that tower to see if theres anything there that might lead us in the right direction
