Anyone who lived in a coastal city would have seen the masts of ships disappear over the horizon. People seem to confuse the idea of a flat earth with the idea that the sun orbited it. People have known the thing was round for thousands of years. Ancient Greeks even used math to figure out how round. actually they have an explanation for that on their website. forgot where it is (read it very long time ago) but its something to do with light blending

its perfectly possible for something to be flat and have a rough surface. we give the spherical earth a special name for it to define every single concave and convex shape on the planet. Let's be honest, there can't be people watching everyone 24/7. And with the amount of planes/ships in the sea, someone is bound to see this 'ice barrier' and tell others, then the news finds out, and reports that the world is not in fact a sphere. Thus, such a belief is silly in my eyes. Also, why would governments lie about the world's shape? What can they gain from it? Actually they have a very well calculated theory of a cost effective way of watching the entire ice barrier. and both of those questions are answered in my opening post :P

I really don't get this post. Melee is overpowered and magic and range are underpowered. That is all there is to this debate. And i hope we are not talking about f2p combat triangle because we all know demos get fixed last. my point isn't about mage or range being underpowered. my point is that making range or mage overpowering in f2p or p2p would unbalance multi-way combat too much.

Izzat so? Scientific proof is created when a hypothesis is backed up by an experiment that can prove this, and can be repeated by anybody wanting to do the experiment. Now the earth wasn't proved to be spherical until the first pictures of it from outer space were taken. In FE's eyes, they say the pictures+everything else is fake therefore making it only a theory :P

its interesting how some of you guys reply to this as "omg this is a load of garbage", where as 500 years ago or so people would give the same replies to the earth being spherical :P This isn't exactly scientific proof, but neither is the earth being spherical... scientific proof :P its an interesting theory... well thought over and not come up by some 15 yr old. sure there are fundamental flaws, but yet...what are they? :P

you guys are forgetting something very central: there isn't just a single way combat system. if you were to give all classes equal amount of power against the other class, multi-way combat would become very unfair for the person being attacked. lets take for example i'm attacked in f2p by 30 people. and i put on full rune. i can usually eat my food till i'm dead for up to if not more than a minute. now think if there were to be more more powerful mages and rangers. they would easily hit through my melee prayer and armor, meaning i would stand little chance surviving for more than 3 seconds. If i wear lets say... melee armor and range armor and pray mage, then the hits would just rebalanced themselves and still make me die within 3 seconds. in f2p combat the triangle pretty much exist. if i get attacked right now and i put on my normal gear and pray melee melee hits max 15 aprox (+hybrids can bind, a bit) mages hit around up 16 or 18? (+the important effect of bind) ragers hit around 16 and p2p is a lot more complex but the effects would be the same. the triangle doesn't just exist in single.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum (well, not new, but new to start posting again :P ), so i thought i'd start off with a topic that i really like :D Despite our scientific breakthroughs, satellites and many other aspects of science. there are still those who believe that the Earth is flat. In theory, we (ourselves) actually don't know 100% that the earth is flat. Since: -We haven't seen it ourselves -All we can see is flatness And, according to the Flat Earth Society (who are the main runners of this woogooloogoo) believe that the main runners of this claim that: -All astronauts are a lie, they have all been bribed. -All videos are fake -All pictures are fake "Earth Not a Globe" is a book explaining everything it detail But, with the help of the FE (Flat Earth) website and wikipedia, i'll quickly skip through some things: -Gravity does not exist, instead the Earth is disc shaped, constantly ascending upwards by a form of "Dark Energy", SO; as i drop the pen, no...the pen didn't fall, our planet hit it -This is how the earth really looks: -Advocates explain the sinking ship effect by a series of perspective laws, in which a ship on the horizon intersects with the vanishing point, causing it to appear as if it is sinking. -The UN and all the governments know this, but they're ALL covering it up, the UN flag is actually the cover up to all this: ^(look, its flat earth ) -There's an ice barrier around the planet to stop everything from falling off. Everybody who has seen the barrier has been bribed+had their life threatened not to tell anybody (yep, you can go get a boat, sail north/south...east/west? and you'll be rich!) here's a picture of the ice wall: -The seasons work with the sun going in circles, here's how the seasons + everything else works: -According to some Muslim+Christian extremists, nowhere in the Bible/Koran does it say that the Earth is round, therefore its flat -Moon landings are very unrealistic, hoax, and bad quality that it was all made in the studios. -All calculations for Earth's movement speed, rotation of everything, size etc. has been calculated, and is somewhere on the website+the book. -Their motive is MONEY! LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY. NASA + other space organizations get rich with funding, whilst they can upkeep this hoax maintenance.
