Right, for one the serie is called: "The Belgariad" you're getting mixed up with "Belgarath" one of the main characters. I've read all 5 books of The Belgariad, then the Sequel to that series: The Mallorean. Also The Elenium/The Tamuli, more series by David Eddings, basically i've read everything he's written. I can see where you're coming from with these links, but I highly doubt it's plagiarism. Jagex being a company has to abide by rules, and could get fined for stealing content without permission, they'd have too much to lose for names as such. It's probably just complete coincidence, the majority of the names go way back in History,"Barak" for example, the basic Viking Barbarian if you want to stereotype it, the Norse used names like that for their people, they're just regional. For example, you're more likely to find a lad in America or the UK called John, than in somewhere like China, it's regional Good taste in reading though :D
