Another thing my mate just suggested is that it could be the batteries as they give off less power in the cold, could be it i suppose? Ill try warmin em up tomorrow morning.

Alrighty, first of all thanks for opening my post. Next of all, I've had my Microsoft Wireless Desktop for a while now, It's always worked fine up until about a fortnight ago. As its been getting quite cold I have noticed it and so has my computer in the morning, it takes longer to start up it makes louder noises, etc. BUT the problem I'm having is that on mornings when it is quite cold my desktop set just WILL NOT work until it warms up and I reboot and replug-in. Take this morning for example, I boot up, GRUB loads, asks me which OS I wish to boot and.. Oh wait I can't choose because my keyboard isn't working. So I press the reconnect button on the wireless reciever and press the connect button on the keyboard/mouse and nothing happens, the receiver continues searching for the hardware. I've tried everything I can think of, batteries, different USB ports, plugging in when it is booting, everything! But none of it works.. Can someone please give me some ideas of what I can do as it's getting really annoying running downstairs to get my wired keyboard every morning... Thank you, ~Sycrat@ZENDORA

Gah, I just bought my Core 2 aswell... oh well.. Anyway about WINE and those programs you want to run, that game that you speak of should run fine AS LONG as it supports OpenGL, It may work if it doesn't but it definately won't make use of your graphics card. Now about the macromedia and adobe collection... I haven't yet tried it but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work without bugs, It's pretty hard to get a program that complex to run fine in an operating system it wasn't made for. As for speed with WINE, it doesn't slow down the program at all unless of course you are running ****loads of other programs in the background. All that I have said is based on Ubuntu, I don't regularly use any other Distro, ubuntu 704 is the way to go for me, My system is currently dual boot-able so that I can play my high end 3d games properly in Windows... If you are planning on ever dual booting your system put Windows on first so that GRUB (the linux boot loader) can be configured to find your windows operating system. I'm not sure if this will help, just shooting the breeze here but try deleting the Runescape cache from your computer and redownload the game. This can be done by making sure that you aren't on a runescape page, and then go Start-Run. Then there type in explorer C:\WINDOWS\. That should open up the C:\WINDOWS folder, once there look for a folder named ".jagex_cache_32" if you see it, delete that folder then try to play the game again and it should download all the files again. If you can't see the .jagex_cache_32 folder then check that you do not have hidden files hidden. Do this by going to "View-Folder options" and then go to the second tab and check that theres nothing there that prevents hidden files being shown (I can't remember the exact check-boxes). Current Stats (18/07/07) ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Introduction ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Hey everyone, I'd like to thank you for even getting this far into my blog and for hopefully being interested in my road to level 70 Smithing =) As you will most likely notice from the above picture, I am (on this account) a Pure Skiller, I have played RS for years and got bored so I decided to start this account, It is an F2P account and if you feel like contacting me while I am playing, It's account name is S_Y_C_R_A_T and my Private Chat is always set to ON. As for my chosen skill to train, Smithing, I've always loved smithing, not for its factor of keeping you interested (because it is actually quite BORING) but because of the money-making factor which is possible after you obtain a certain level. I'm hoping that I can get to that point of extreme-money-making =D, which I believe to be as soon as you can start making Rune weapons and armour as they are the primarily used F2P items for Combat training. I've only chosen 70 Smithing as my goal because setting it to 85 would be to far-fetched a goal (or would take to long to achieve the goal). Also I'm not the richest player so a lot of the time I will be WCing or something else to make money to buy coal or any other ore that I don't feel like mining -.- This blog will mostly consist of: ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Day by day (or as close to as possible) progress reports including any thoughts I'm having, items I have made/bought/mined/chopped/sold/whatever and any level gainings :shock:. Yesterday and REEEALLLY early this morning I was chopping Willows at Draynor to get some more money to by Coal (normally buy at 200ea). With last nights update I found a noobish glitch/bug in the new trade window which I thought would be cool to take a screeny of for no good reason (thats what chopping for long periods of time does to you..) [hide=New RS Bug =)][/hide] Note that when you click on "null Willow Logs" you get the examine message for Willow Logs. So they have obviously stuffed something up when making the new features of the trade window. JAGeX knows about this problem and are currently trying to fix it so don't worry about that, you'll get your examine back soon enough ;). After this amazing discovery I continued chopping till I got LVL 60 WC which I thought was impressive as I've never been much of a chopper and haven't ever been higher than level 56 on any account other than this one =). Also I got to experience the new random event only moments after it was released =D It's not all its cracked up to be... I dont know how bots are going to pass it, even I couldn't understand one of the questions :-s. It looks cool though and I got 900 WC exp out of it... not sure why I didn't click on smithing =(. [hide=New Random Event][/hide] By the end of the night I ended up with about 2k willows and sold them which left me with about 150k all up. I'm planning on buying as much coal as possible tomorrow and then probably mining some more mithril ore. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Stuff that I feel like selling ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ During my wonderful journeys of smithing I make some random stuff that is really of no use to me, such as the 100 steel platebody's that I have sitting in my bank. Err I know for most people this isn't very good but... I got Mystic Gloves :D, its my first good drop, i got it from desert lizards for slayer, I'm happy with em :D

Well... i've only ever done 1 lvl 2 scroll and no lvl 3s and this is my best... it took me ages to do, so many dif clues lol. btw thats a yew comp

Ok then I have zonealarm aswell and this works for me when i get anything. Open up the zone alarm main window. go to program control. set smartdefence adviser to manual. click the programs tab. turn all of the programs to the ? which means ask. then if anyone trys to send passwords or any info away they will have to get through u first (meaning it will ask you) if it says a program that your not sure of is trying to access the internet denie it as it could be a logger or anything else. hope this helps

first of all DEFINATLY DO NOT LOG INTO RUNESCAPE that is a must. k next do you have a firewall of any kind if u do what is it? i cant really help much unless i know.
