ANSWER: First the cross bow is WAY to slow and it'll make it harder in the long run, I recommend shooting ogres to test how often it hits and to see if its worth it. If you can afford the test then I wouldn't do it. If I have time I might do some tests and let you know but when it came out if was thought it would help I tried it then and it was slow. I'm not suggesting that you use only the crossbow, but bring it along in addition to the crystal bow, then while fighting Jad, switch to it for a while until the special hits, then switching to the crystal bow. I've never even tried the fight caves but it seems like sacrificing one inventory space for even a chance to hit as high as 70 would be worth it. Danton, crossbows are the best weapons for caves now - they have cheaper, more powerful ammo and they fire at the same speed as the crystal bow Well since you suggested it, Ill try it =)

First depending on your range level and range pots and bonuses to range this fight can go faster.

The 360s are pretty slow so its best just to make a circle around them causing the other monsters to get stuck on the oposite side.

Level 60s must use the Ancient Magicks approach please read the full guide before posting thanks.

whats the bug in the system?

All of you guys that think a lvl 60 cant do it make a lvl 60 with at least my recomended stats and use the guide and try it foryourself before you say you cant do it because ive done it. and you say they use another method? Well what method is that please tell me I wanna know since Ive been told im the reason people have been able to reach their goal of getting it at low levels. You say you would get owned without prayer well really? Duh Jad would own you without it. Also you dont need def or attack or str and you can keep hp low.. I dont think of you guys know what a pure is or know how to make one. Oh well when ya do then let me know.

high alchemy prices is 1.5x the value that the general store will buy the item for... its simple you know what u buy stuff for just make one and value it. geeze

Reason I would sub a sara for range is if you're using blood spells or guthans your hp is getting restored you can fend off most damage with prayer and you will need all the prayer for jad. Holy wrench is good if you're low on cash.

u can use italy rock but it gets complicated doing it that way.

if you guys would read the guide instead of asking how can a lvl 60 wear guthans. well if you read the ancient magicks approach they dont need guthans I Wish you people would just read the entire guide and not just first part and be quick to respond please refer to page 3 about any lvl 60 questions thank you.

Make sure you read the part about using ancients magicks =) Also see muggis guide he does it without guthans even!

sara brews generally go for about 5-7k each and super restores go for 8-10k each. you're looking to spend quite a bit of cash getting the cape so be prepared to spend at least 1 mil maybe more on potions depending on how well you do. Also secondly 2 bows is needed unless u take dhally (slow) but can be used on the 360s

Tip one for ice. Make it to him teleport out so ur trail will remain when get back. trust me ull want to bring those super restores. dont worry about energy wont help anyways. also Fire spells hurt him bad. Keep ur health up. A good combo is sarabrews and super restores. sara brews heal 15%+2 to your hp per dose. and super restore will restore any negative stats which will constantly be dropping so bring tons of fire spells and use auto cast. Stand in middle away from him so he doesnt use melee. Dont use mystic robes they have no melee def. instead use ahrims if u can afford otherwise black chaps and mystic top or splitbark top and mystick bottom are some good combos oh and ofcourse ring of life and a quick telly.

Oh yeah I cant wait to see update they're saying its going to be their most impressive yet but still I think it will be cheaper than karils they dont want to make anything more powerful than barrows for whatever reason but i suspect another good update. Im hoping it is better than barrows. maybe even have to enchant the bolts with the spells or inbune them that would be cool like add bloodbarrage spell to the bolt. Would be a nice stack of bolts. We'll see that would be cool

ok he spawns in random spots be he tends to repeat the pattern for me. I assume as long as he started with range thats a safe bet to stick with for you. but he spawns mainly in southeast corner or in middle for me. Secondly if u drop cape in fight caves you leave right after jad dies thus leaving ur cape on the floor. and if drop b4 jad dies and he kills you. you will have to work for a new one. So I dont recomend dropping the cape. At least for now if u loose it u have to get it all over again and trust me u dont wanna loose it. Awsome bonuses!
