Mercifull, you've got an excelent point. but thats not what Im about. My life has been music from the git-go. Always been fascinated by rock bands and good music. I like the music I listen to because it gives me a sensational adrenline rush type feeling when certain songs are played, and for emo songs, most of the songs that I listen to that are emo, set my emotions throughout the day. Sometimes if I listen to The Academy Is... right before I go to school, I feel like I will have a good day just because they're lyrics are so meaningful and have a good sense to them. I don't doubt the fact that there are some horrible emo bands out there. I guess there are just different type of Emo people out there. The people who do it for the looks, and the people who are just plain into the music. Good anology is gangsters. Which came first... thugs or the rap music? Same trend different people, with the same problem. Some people do it for the looks, and some people do it for the music.

  4. Went to their concert Friday, and Im just now getting over the neck pain and sores all over my body. So I get there, and A Life Once Lost was playing, and they were great. First song immediatly made me want to thrash into the moshpits. So I did, got a little dizzy because I used so much energy so fast. So I took a break. What an excelent band. Norma Jean comes on after a local band plays, and was fantastic. They sounded just like their cd, which is a definite good thing. People got so crazy doing the moshes it was nuts. People would get into fights because they couldn't take a hit in the face. So they got kicked out. I soon crowd surfed all the way to the front while being fondled, and was picked up by security and let down before I fell in the front. I soon ran back to the pits while watching the show that Norma Jean so graciously gave us :D. They're last song was "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waiste", and thats a song everybody really likes. So the song starts off slow, and immediatly goes into crazy mode.... thats exactly what the crowd did. Everyone kinda looked at each other like... "are you ready for this" and WAM! Everyone goes crazy! The crowd was so large and crazy, that the people at the bars were getting hurt while just sitting down. Several pool sticks were broken. Norma Jean went off after that with a great show.. As I Lay Dying was up next, and people were not about to give in their energy for one last good set of songs. Everyone is already stinky with BO, and sweaty until their shirts are drenched. How could anybody possibly go for more.... oh but we did. They started us off with some new songs, and I loved it. At around this time sXe kids started coming into the moshpits with bandannas, and noone likes them so they got beat up pretty badly. Killswitch Engage's drummer was joining them on the tour, and he happened to step in for one of the songs, and did a drum solo that rocked everyone! Their last song was Forever.... and thats like everyone's favorite, so everybody wanted to get mad crazy at the end of this concert. So this one kid gets down on his hands and knees near the front of the crowd, and people resumed to jump off his back like a stool, and just pummel the front of the crowd. I did it too, but my jump was in cannonball form :D total body dmg: Punched in the jaw Elbowed in the face during a circle mosh Trampled because I fgell down in a circle mosh Dropkicked twice in the stomache by the same kid 14 brusies on my back (i counted) 12 cuts from finger nails and your average physical damage from moshing. All in All = one of the better concerts I've been too :D

Nah... Im just saying.. like we dont make fun of you if you dont make fun of us kinda thing. We honestly never start anything with anyone else. Or atleast I don't. I just think that the GOLDEN RULE should apply here too. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Sounds to me the only reason you hate them is their music. Typical music discrimination. Why you got to hate dragonst0rm, I don't think the emo kids ever made fun of your music? I do have one more thing to throw in. There are a group of people who like Emo and Screamo that noone likes. I don't think even some emo kids like these people. Sxe = sucks These people ruin everything for their entertainment, and I refuse to believe there is a cool sxe kid out there. Everytime I've had a good time at a party or some type of concert, the sxe ruin it with their destruction.[/b]

Oh Man.... :: lights up a cigarette :: Okay... Emo defintily does not send any type of suicidal messages? If your going to say a statement like that I would love some lyrical proof pl0x. The bands and or songs might send a more of a depressing subject, or it might sing about problems in general, but not once have I heard a message telling kids to cut themselves, or have suicidal tedencies. The Emo kids who actually have suicidal intedencies and cut themselves obviously need help, because thats just an attention [bleep]. I never once have tried to cut myself or kill myself because of Emo music. I always picture Emo music as a variable to compare life to. They sing about a [cabbage]ty day, and you can compare thinking "man, im glad my day didn't go that bad.." etc People like to depreciate trends no matter what trend your in. You could be a preppy person and all the emo kids/gothy kids are gonna make fun of you and vice versa. Your not going to get away from any type of trend discrimination no matter who you are or what you look like. I honestly dont understand why people put so much work into making fun of, or even hating Emo kids. We never did anything to you, and You never did anything to us. So just leave each other alone. People have their own musical prefrences no need to make fun of it because you have a different preference than the the other guy. I love Emo music, and Im proud to say it. I don't care who hates me, because honestly I don't care if you hate it or not. Its not going to change me, and its not going to affect me in my life at all. Emofreak123, anything I missed?
  8. Yea dude, good luck! Sorry I cant come either, I live in America and I don't have a passport :P
  9. I found that movie to be very mind numbing, at first I didn't get it, but then I realized what happened, and why it happened. Right then and there, that movie became the sweetest movie of all time. 9 out of 10 in my book
  10. no problem really, I just thought everything should categorized. I went in for the first interview which was fine, the second one they kinda quized me on my music knowledge and showed me around to all the different type of music. Tbh, they dont allow people to work there if they dont know music
  11. I've noticed quite a lot of confusion throughout the music boards. I honestly don't care or mind it, because everyone has their own musical preference. *unless its Vee with her Queen songs :x I find what you guys call Metal and metal core... is actually just screamo. I don't think most of you realize that some of your music genres fall into screamo. Like "Bullet for my Valentine" is not metalcore...I would think metalcore as "slipknot" or some band that mostly plays the guitar riff's all the way at the top of the guitar all the time. Metalcore is like oldschool crazy metal music. "From First To Last" is a prime example of screamo music, they have the emo lyrics with the occasional screaming. They have a bit more of a darker side to the guitar and drumming. A good example to compare screamo to something would be like "Funeral For a Friend" or "Silverstein" they are the true definiton of your basic screamo. "Evergreen Terrace" or "Norma jean" being more of a heavier screamo. "The Blood Brothers" have their own category I like to call Trash Screamo.. On to the metal part. A good example of good metal music would be "The Dillinger Escape Plan" or "As I Lay Dying". They are very talented musicians that make a living having probabley the fastest nad most talented guitar players I've ever heard. All of the lyrics are mostly screamed, and none of the lyrics are sang. That to me makes the difference between screamo and metal.. screamo usually involves some type of singing with more of an emotional singing. Then the metal is just all screaming with more violent lyrics, sometimes the occasional cover song. Im not saying you people dont know music. I was just a little confused when people were categoring music where it shouldn't be. I also almost worked at "Sam Goody" so I know a little about music :D Mabye everyone has a little bit of emo/screamo inside of them... and if anybody needs a good suggestion for any type of rock music in general I will be happy to help them if they pm me :D
  12. Well, luckily for the people that bearly played that have a quick overveiw of the game storyline right before the movie starts, but even with that its still hard to understand to know what is going on.
  13. Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Breed Love, rushmore Academy, The Academy is..., evergreen terrace, the fall of troy, the receiveing end of sirens... RXbandits
  14. agreed...its defintily a good movie
  15. I wouldn't classify them as metalcore.... more like hxc screamoish, sorta like evergreen terrace.
  16. Movie #1 ff7 advent children. I don't want to ruin the movie for the people who haven't seen it yet. The plot wasnt as great as the game, but it still had substance. It had a good idea off it, and definitly a good storyline continuence. For people who haven't played ff7, they do a little quick run through at the start of the movie what happened in ff7. I highly suggest you play the game first thoroughly, otherwise the movie will not be as good. Its a 3d movie, so the graphics were awesome. Good special effects, and just seeing the ff7 characters reappear was a cool feeling. The coolest battle scenes on any movie, and this movie has it. I'de give it a 8 out of 10.
