  1. I find dds is a great weapon, much faster than d long or d battle axe when killing lessers or even Fire Giants. I don't have a whip to compare it to or a d scimmy. For me the dds rocks.
  2. If there is aleady a thread like the one for Heroes I missed it. Need help doing Mor'ton, group for building the temple. PM me in game, I am usually in world 59. Thanks craigevil
  3. I dumped Windows on my dekstop and laptop last year and I have not missed it once. If you play a lot of windows based games you will have issues. Headover to linuxquestions.org if you have any questions or problems. Once you get the hang of it, you will find Linux is actually much easier to use than windows. No viruses, no spyware. Tons of Open Source Software. My homepage has a good getting started page. Good Luck!
  4. Instead of a Nature staff that replaces Nats, a Druid staff. It would heal your plants instead of the heal potions. And work like a Nature Ammy letting you know when your plants are ready to harvest and if any get diseased. Maybe even make it where it has charges, so it can give you a better chance of planting crops without them getting diseased. Make it something that requires a decent magic lvl say 50+ and at least 50+ farming. It could also be tied into Herblore in some way. Make it a quest item like the dramen staff.
  5. Does Java work at all on the Laptop? Verify that it is installed: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp Double check your Java settings and permissions, as well as your IE settings. Check your Firewall and AV settings to make sure Java isn't being blocked. If none of the above work get a Linux LiveCD, I use Kanotix and Opera to play on my Dell.
  6. IS 10 hours+ a day mean I am addicted? In just a little over month I have 71 combat and a little over 1000 total lvl. Only been a member for 2 weeks and I have 93 quest points.
  7. I use Firefox for 99% of my web Browsing. But to play RS I use Opera, it just seems to work a little more smoothly. I also use Linux so that may be a little different. Haven't had a windows pc in over a year, even my laptop runs Linux. My Firefox info: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050922 Firefox/1.0.7 (Debian package 1.0.7-1) Extensions (enabled: 17, disabled: 0) * Copy URL + 1.3.1 * Mouse Gestures 1.0 * Tabbrowser Preferences 1.2.7.1 * Feedview 0.9.7 * Show Failed URL 0.1.4 * Toolbar Enhancements 0.16.2 * InfoLister 0.8.2 * FlashGot 0.5.9.91 * User Agent Switcher 0.6.6 * Sage 1.3.5 * ChromEdit 0.1.1.1 * Tweak Network 1.0 * Bookmark Backup 0.3.3 * AniDisable 1.0 * Flashblock 1.3.2 * NoScript 1.1.2.20050901 * Yahoo! A good firewall is always a great idea.
  8. As far as security Firefox. The addition of extensions make it one of the best browsers out there. It is not without problems however. Opera is now free, and is also a good choice.
