Well the old Chainmails where smithable (y are they removed anyhow?) But I dont think the new ones should be cheaper than the ordinary armour pieces (plate legs) I rather say that these chain armour will be archer armour because you can move better in it, so that they should be less good in defense bonusses and they have a small archer bonus. That gives low level archers the opportunity to use some more defensive armour which will protect them better in the wilderness against melee-based warriors but they still have a small bonus in ranged so they dont get badly affected, its like the defensive version of dragonhidearmour then. The armour will still be bad against magic of course.. Cyah King 2004

Yeh but the point of slaying is that you should try to be able to kill monsters with rare or special loots, otherwise theres no point in training a skill which will allow you to defeat new creatures... Cyah King 2004 -

I see your point but I think ur arguments aren't perfect, U say that u want more creatures which drop quite simular things as for instance dragons or stuff like that, I think slaying should be about really rare creatures which drop stuff no other hting can drop. The drops should of course get better when the slaying level increases but it should be that every creature at level 50+ (slaying) should drop stuff which none other creature can drop to make the slaying way more effective and worthy to train Of course it will be good to have more creatures but slaying is still a rather new skill, it needs growing and as we see Jagex add a couple of new creatures this week, that will continue probably the next months... And I think it will be cool to be able to chose wheter your task is going to be a real slayer-creature task or a normal creature task. I like to train on the creatures I can kill with slayer to see the direct effect of my training, but when I have to kill like 150 lessers thats boring because I already know lessers, theyre no challenge... So when the master offers you a new task he should ask what kind of task you want, that makes it cool for people who trained their slayer and who want to see the effects of it.. Cyah King 2004 -
I didnt like the change of the colour in the begin too, but it would be a waste to change it back, if you prefer the old color then I think u just cant accept changes. With an online game its good that things change often so I dont complain... And especially for people like you Jagex kept runescape classic on play.. Don't get bored by looking att he mithrillikerune and play runescape classic if you have so much problems with this... Cyah King 2004

I think the main thing we can do here is to add suggestions, its not up to us how much xp you gain for these things. Im fairly sure Jagex will be better at finding a good amount of xp for it ;)

The firemaking level to burn logs is still equal, its just the level to het the weapons lighted which is 99. That should be high since a glowing dragonaxe should be kept really rare! Cyah King 2004

Hehe its not that bad to go off topic ;) but you are right, why would it be possible to add a skill like farming which most people dislike where an idea like this would be impossible... Im sure space wont be the problem, and as you say there will be a limit on the examine-info (so people dont write books on it :P) I think the limit can be easy to set, no longer than 1 line of text, thats the limit on normal objects too right? It wouldn't even be cool to have a long text, people wont read it anyhow then ;) Cyah King 2004

Well for magic I thought the formula for experience was + 2* You could say that the experience will be higher automatically since will always be higher due to the powerbonus, so I dont think it will be nesecary to change the value Cyah King 2004

Hey guys, Wouldn't it be cool to be able to examine other people? I often examine stuff when Im bored but after some time I had everything so then I start chatting about nothing :P But it would be quite cool to add a discription about yourself on runescape, so when people examine you they see a certain text.. Sure, the only negative thing was my third potion :D Let's move on: Ive already announced a possible combination with prayer in my topic pray to be like , where it gets a new option to burn ashes, bones and robes of "bad" gods. That will do in combination with prayer I think. Maybe magic can be enpowered with some fire too, if you can control a fire with magic you will have to be really good! We already see the fire blast, fire strike, fire wave and fire bolt but what do they have to do with fire? Maybe it will be cool to keep the fire attacks the way they are and add a new option to use "Gather energy" (level 5 magic required) from a fire. When you have gathered energy with a fire staff/mystic fire or lava staff the staff will glow a little red which means the fire attacks are powered. The energy bonus will get the magic spell more effective of course and it will cause burn (explained before) the way it looks you see a long red line of energy followed by the bolt, wave, strike or blast image. Gathering energy can only be done on maple or better BONfires, so the powered staffs will be less regular. When used on a maple fire 5 fire spells are powered. On a Yew fire 10 spells are powered and at a magic fire 15 spells are powered. Nice 1? Cyah King 2004

That can even be quite cool :P *remember theyre almost normal people!* To illustrate what runescape will be like when every1 has to shut up, take a visit to the most boring spot in runescape: the fishing guild. Theyre hot :P I made the example potions mainly to illustrate the idea of heatening potions, they were a little quickly made up so maybe I was a little too easy with the last potion. Now shall we look forward to combaine the firemaking skill with some other skills again? King 2004

Yeh I know *sigh* But I like to fantasy about skills and to think about great improvements, IF Jagex ever reads some of these things they may get inspired to get at leats some small updates to slowly introduce a new world of prayer. Thanx for your addition I disagree with you on the first potion, you should realize that that only is the case when you use a magic potion, the other ones just last X-seconds, and if you use a magic heated potion you will be able to be invincible UNTIL some1 hits a 10+ on you, so its not like having a shiled with 10+ on it because the effect will be over once a 10 hits you and then the battle will be regular again. Maybe you are right about the last potion, it will be better to add a time limit to the effect than to add a hit-limit to the effects of the potions. Lets say like the potion works 10 seconds and then the effects are gone. Cyah King 2004

As we all know Prayer is the kinda most boring skill in Runescape (altouhgh Farming is a good concurrent now, no arguing about that :P) But why should it be boring? Wouldn't it be great to get in better contact with gods and holy rewards? Wouldn't it be cool to live the life of Guthix, Saradomin or Zamorak? Sure that would be cool! And here are some ways to get the gods closer to the game (or better, to get you closer to the gods!) Pelgrimmage This will require a huge update to the game, but the effects would be more than great! As believed for long times during the medieval ages the only way to get close to the gods is to live a life like gods! So here's the first challenge, you will have to chose the god of your favour! Gods We all know the Runescape gods, Guthix, Saradomin and Zamorak. Currently there are a few things which are related to these gods; Zamorak and Saradomin have a holy symbol and their own temples. Guthix, Zamorak and Saradomin have their own staffs and a spell related to it. And when you try to get to the abbysal runecraft-place you have to help zamorak to get the teleportspell to the rune essencemines. But there we get the first problem, if you are a true Saradomin follower (like king 2004 is ;) ) you will get in problems because you kinda have to help Zamorak when you want to enter the abbysal-runecraftplace. That should be changed. There has to be an option to chose for Saradomin or Guthix too. Quest 1 (Saradomin) For instance when you chose to follow Saradomin you have to prevent a Zamorak-follower to get the special spell to teleport to the essence mine. This is an NPC covered in red robes which you have to find and kill before he reaches the essence mine. This can only happen by using a block-spell which one of Saradomin's closest followers teaches you (when you hit level 60 prayer you can also teach this spell to other people) This spell can be used during the quest to block the Zamorak-monk from entering the rune essencemine, now the next step is to kill this monk. A Zamorak-monk can however learn a block missle spell at level 60 prayer, so you have to kill it without magic or ranged. You can't hit a Zamorak-follower because the blood will curse you (if you decide to hit it anyhow you will be banned by Saradomin, and since you attacked a Zamorak you can only try to get closer to Guthix) The only way to get the Zamorak-monk killed is by using prayer. All over Runescape there are (moving) monks of Saradomin (NPC's), they are walking the Pelgrimmage and learn new prayers every day. If you help them on their pelgrimmage they may provide you with the knowledge of a new prayer which can help you to get rid of the Zamorak-mage. Since all monks are at different levels you are supposed to chose your own monk, if you decide to go for the low level monk he will get you an easy job, however the prayer you will learn isn't that powerfull then.. An example of a high level pelgrim: A Saradomin monk of level 80 prayer can use this 1 first of all you have to find the pelgrim of course, he will be level 80 so its not hard to find out what prayer level you need. The monk will be covered in white robes and he will be walking about in the wilderness... He wants you to help him passing the final part to complete his pelgrimmage, he has to climb a dangerous mountain (in the wilderness!). You have to escort him when he is trying to pass the mountain, he will tell you not to bring food because he can use a special prayer to heal you while you are trying to help him to survive. This part of the wilderness (level 99) can be reached by entering a tunnel, this tunnel is accesable by monks of any race so you have to be very careful! Dying here however doesn't mean you lose your items (counts for every monk there) but you will be teleported so you have to find a new monk to help. If your monk dies you have to bury his bones otherwise you get killed too. If a player who follows another god gets the bones first he can burn them and then you will die. This task is very hard because you can only work with prayer (the blood of other monks is still cursing) agains the Zamorak monks since they block missle, Guthix monks can be killed by missles but they have a special agile-prayer which makes you missing most of your shots, the monk will (like the agility ticket-thing in brimaven) make sure the arrow or spell misses in a quick action. Level 50 and level 60 prayer is required for this, it even works when some1 is trying to hurt you with a normal weapon. The monk you have to guard can get hurt fairly easily and so can you of course, you have to defend by prayers you learned before. the good thing is that the monk you defend has knowledge of a special prayer called Saradomin heal, when your health drops below 50% there will be a huge light column which heals you back to 75% of your health. In this way its a lot harder to get you killed for the other monks. Beside the players who are trying to make you get killed there are also some NPC-monks, these monks are also followers of a certain god and they will always be there. It can be recommend to do this part of the quest during a quiet moment because there will be less other players and more NPC-monks during those times. For a Zamorak monk this high level task can be won by killing you so there will often be people trying to kill you there. They again also have opponents and different prayers to use... When you finish this task you will learn how to use Saradomin heal on yourself or on other people with prayer 60 or higher. You can now also teach this prayer to people with 85 prayer! Example of a low level pelgrim: level 1 prayer, level 30 mining and level 10 herblore are required for this A pelgrim at the begin of the pelgrimmage has to get past some rocks which block the way. This monk wont be moving so its a prayer you can learn easily since you dont have to find the monk! You will have to use explosives to break the rocks because your pickaxe will break if you use it on the rocks. (you can try of course :P) you can make an explosive potion by asking help of the witch at the witches potion quest, she will tell you what ingredients you need and how you make it. You have to collect a guam leaf, a marrentil and a harralander, mix it together with a vial of water and then use tinderbox on the potion. A red potion will be the result. Now you have to get it to the spot (FAST!) before it explodes, if the potion is unused for 30 seconds the contens will explode and you get hurt 5 points damage as well as all people standing around you (Can also be used in wildy after this task!). You have to give it to the monk (who has just 5 HP!) who will bless the potion. The potion will be red glowing now! Now you drop the potion on the floor and walk off (no hurry needed), once you and the monk are far enough the monk will say something to Saradomin and the potion will explode. As result you can now enter the cave where some more challenging prayer-tasks await you. And the monk will tell you the prayer to bless the potion and how to get it exploded. This can be very usefull to get the Zamorak monk killed so he can't steal the telespell for the essence mine! You can now teach this prayer to people with prayer level 20 or better and you can bless potions, you can throw these off to other people and then use the prayer which you learned to get it explode. Very useful to kill monks later on! General A quest like this can also be made for Guthix and Zamorak followers of course, it contains a large lot of new prayers (the 2 parts I described can easily be enlarged to like 10 different parts...) and way more challenge to the skill, even for high level monks! The monks always have a certain level which enables you to kill monks of other gods! If you hand the burnt bones of monks of evil gods to monks of your god you will gain large loads of prayer xp. But remember never touch an evil monk, it will result in bans of gods or you will have to offer items to recover from the ban. Depending on the level of monk you killed you will need to offer more items (the worth of the high alchemy on these items makes the worth of the goods!) Continue This was just a first step on the pelgrimmage, completing this quest of course rewards you with some prayer xp and it gives you acces to enter the abbysals runecraft-center. On your way to become "holy" you have to finish off a lot of quests related to your god-kind. There are also quests where you learn the rune essence prayer, and where you have to defeat holy dragons, where you learn a lot of new prayers and of course as final (99 prayer required) you have to beat another god! Once you completed your pelgrimmage you can bless robes which will shine a bright light (red for Zamorak, white for Saradomin and black for Guthix) around the robes. When you wear these you will be able to teach people all possible prayers (also the ones who are available to every1 now need to be taught!) and you can bless a lot of items (from symbols and weapons to staffs and robes). You can bury burnt unholy bones(bones from another god) yourself now and you have a lot of other bonuses to be used. But reaching that target will even be a huge challenge for some1 who is level 99 prayer so there will be very few gods (3 to be exactly), it may sound weird but there can be just 1 god for each religion (Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak-religion) because the best monk (highest prayer xp) will be the only 1 whose robes will light up. So it will be very (!) cool to become god which will make a huge challenge for the prayer xp! Ashes, bones and robes Besides these huge quest adventures there are also going to be more options to gain prayer xp, we have already seen the burning of bones of other religion-monks. There is also going to be an option which enables you to light ashes (from lessers, imps and stuff like that) to gain some prayer xp. And burning the robes of other religions will also result in prayer xp. However you can't buy prayer robes anymore, because they have to be rewarded to you by a task-monk! So getting these robes of another religion wont be easy. You have to kill those monks when theyre in wildy (not in the prayer cave!) wearing these robes. And again you can't touch the monks so it will be very hard to obtain those robes. It will result in great xp to light em however. You can also learn from a monk how to make your own prayer staffs and robes (level 75 prayer required) these things can be made with crafting and they dont result in prayer xp, however burying bones while wearing the robes results in bonus xp and weilding the staff while using a prayer decreases the drain rate of the attack. There will be different level-robes and staffs and of course they look different when you are into another god. Holy fortresses Each god has its own temple build on 3 mountains in the wilderness, inside the castles there is no wilderness of course. This place is the headquartes of the god (and all followers) in the way to the castles you will see a lot of towers which may be settled by archers or mages from other gods, and there can be danger everywhere because all players follow the same road the the castles, just on the final place you split up to enter your own castle. You need level 40 prayer to enter castles and inside you will find a great place with a bank, some monks for tasks, healing monks, and training monks who will get you tasks like to enter the castle of another religion in the robes of your own religion, then you have to climb upto the highest tower and leave a set of robes of your religion behind. On your way to the tower you will be bothered by other people when you walk in the wildy zone and you will be bothered by a lot of NPCs when you enter the castle. These tasks also result in some prayer xp depending on the level of the task. Then there is a huge location below the castles, this is a multi-combatzone where every1 is allowed to enter and kill other monks. The cellars are connected to the cellars of the other religions, but there are a lot of locked gates in the way. You can pass these by using the thieving skill (picklock) or you can try to get through the gates by using agility. There is always a hard way (level 70 agility or thieving needed) to enter the other monks quickly and there is an easy way (level 20 agility or thieving needed) to get there but you have to pass a lot more creatures and gates to meet the other monks then. Then when you meet there is a gate in the center which requires level 90 thieving or 90 agility, this 1 won't be passed often, but its not needed to pass it anyways, because prayers and mage attacks are always done from a distance (so the gate blocks nothing). If you can pass however you can take the bones and robes of the killed players which can be a good advantage for your prayer level. If you can't pass its a great polace to have wars and stuff like that with prayer, magic or ranged only! Each castle has some other advantages but thats different to the god you follow... We can think about some stuff to make firemaking cooler, for instance that you can use those burnt weapons... I think it should be better cuz every1 who uses it says *as explained here* that firemaking is boring, lets heat it up! How about adding some new herblore potions which need heating, I dont understand why potions are not needed to be cooked or heated anyhow, if you have chemics you will see that without fire (or heat) a lot less things can happen. My suggestions: Invincibilty potion level 45 herblore required This potion can get you invincible (unbeatable) for some time, you need an ALFALFA herb (not just made up, its an excisting herb which contains calcium) and dragontoes (can be cut off a death dragon, they will drop down and lay death for some seconds so you can cut it off) You need 2 dragontoes for 1 potion (every dragon has 4 toes, but depending on your crafting level -minimum of 50 needed- you can cut off enough toes in the time it lays death) You have to mix the ingredients and use it on a fire (not a range or something like that) A regular fire is less hot than the other fires, so the potion gets less strong.. (goes up every kind of fire) Regular: 5 seconds of invincibility Oak: 7 seconds "" Willow: 10 seconds "" Maple: 12 seconds "" Yew: 15 seconds "" Magic: lasts until some1 hits a 10+ on you If used on bonfire the time is increased by 2 seconds! When you are invincible your skin shined a little lightblue so other people can see that you are invincible. For every potion you need to let it burn during the whole time that the fire burns, you can take it off earlier, if you do the potion will explode which results in a 10 hit on yourself and the people who stand too close to the explosion! Skin protection potion Level 60 herblore required This potion can be made by mixing ALOE VERA (again not just made up, aloe vera is used for skin products in RL too) up with 3 tree ashes (gained by burning a tree) Again you use the unfired potion on a fire/bonfire This potion is really strong so "cold" fires are way too weak to get this potion mixing up, you need at least a yew bonfire to get it working Yew bonfire: You are protected against poison until you die! Magic fire: You are protected against poison until you die! Magic bonfire: You are protected against burn and poison until you die! Burn can be caused by dragons and by burnt weapons, so this potion will be very usefull when fighting dragons or going into the wilderness where burnt weapons will be popular. Burn works like poison. The potion is called Skin protectionpotion (YB) when used on yew bonfire, Skin protectionpotion(M) when used on magic fire and skinprotectionpoiton (MB) when used on magic bonfire. Your skin shines a little red when u use this potion Recover-Potion level 75 herblore required This potion can be made by using CAPSIUM herbs (also not made up, this herb seems to contain a lot of vitamines and cleanses the blood) with some Kalphite blood. Kaplhite blood can be gained by killing a kalphite, like dragons they will drop down death and lay for some seconds during there seconds use a knife on the death body and fill a vial with kalphiteblood. A Kaplhite worker has 1/3 vials of blood, a Kaplhite guard has 1/2 vials of blood and of course the queen has 1/1 vial of blood. You need 1 full vial of blood to mix the potion. The effect of this potion is really useful, you regenerate health WAY faster than normal when the effects of the potion are working, its like some really good food! You can cook it on any kind of fire. Regular --> You regain 1 HP every 3 seconds Oak --> You regain 1 HP every 2 seconds Willow --> You regain 1 HP every 1 seconds Maple --> You regain 2 HP every 3 seconds Yew --> You regain 2 HP every 2 seconds Magic --> You regain 2 HP every 1 seconds When used on bonfire the time is reduced by 1 second, in case of the willow and magic bonfires you gain +1 HP every second. This potion lasts until you have 10 HP less than your max, which makes it really useful to train on low level creatures! Your skin will flash blue and yellow as long as the potion is working. And like the other heated potions there will be ®, (O), (W), (ME), (Y), (MA) or the bonfire-version after the name of the potion so people see what they buy when you sell the potion. These are just some examples to combinate herblore with firemaking, if you like these ideas I will try to come up with some combinations with other skills too! Cyah King 2004

I think some of you are a little pessimistic when it comes to realization of the idea, why wouldn't we try to set up a new way of trading? It may be revolutionairy and maybe its a little too far fetched but we can at least set some steps forward to the better level of trading around runescape. ValaraZ, if you mean something like the members all log into 1 specific world of runescape that will be good to think about. It shouldn't be prohibited to log into another world but it can be cool to settle for a certain regular-world to make sure people know where to go when they want to trade with some other members, nice idea! But I think we can at least start to work together from now on, if the Tip.it crew would help a little by allowing us to set up a forum-departement (or if they disagree I can set up a private forum, but then we wont be in name of Tip.it of course) we can try to find out what we are going to work like and maybe its going to be a succes, if not we have lost nothing thats the great thing of innovation :) Cyah King 2004

Heya mates, I think the world of runescape is ruled by a lot of great people, unfortunately its almost like RL, there are too much bad ones amoung the biggest players. At the moment these players seem to overaffect the market of runescape, a lot of people get scammed, do really unfair trades or are affected by lies (about prices for instance) of other players. This is something which cant be good at all! Therefore it may be a cool thing to start a cooperation of people who have set prices. In that way people dont get lost in bad trades and people can easily sell their stuff since they never ask a too high price. It could be interesting to gather as much as possible people to join this cooperation, in the begin it will probably be a hard thing to find the perfect prices for items but on the longterm people will definately be treated well. Of course there can be such things as high-load-shortings or some just higher prices because of and extra effort made. Therefore the set prices are MAX prices only, theyre the average worth of an item. But Cooperationmembers can't pass this border. And to make sure people dont get robbed by low-wage-buyers you can't trade items for a price below the 50% of the MAXprice. Of course it is allowed to trade items for free but that has nothing to do with trade, its just goodwill... These prices will (at least in the begin) only affect home-made items, in that way we dont have to deal with big price changes of for instance Mauls. The prices are always set in cooperation of the other joiners, and if necesairy these prices can also be changed later on. For instance when there turns out to be a new use for coal we can increase the price level of coals to make sure the miners aren't being ruined. But a cooperation also brings problems, it can be hard to get everything clear and to get all trade going well. To solve this problem there are several ways out: * There should be a ban-option When people are going over the tops of the trade margins or when they are scamming other members of the cooperation it should be possible to warn these people and when they are reported again there should be a ban-option to get rid of these pains. The Cooperation will work with a list of banned people so they get ignored in trade with people of the cooperation * There should be a forum departement To communicate well and to make sure all users can trade easily together there should be a forum-departement to deal with all trades and other important things to talk about. I would sincerely ask Tip.it to make a small forumpart where members of the Cooperation can join there trade-businessmates * And most important, people who join should enter their speciality To get a great trade-system it will be usefull to add your speciality (runescpae skill) for instance when you are a great fletcher you can make sure every1 knows about that, when a members of the cooperation needs a bow or arrows he can refer to your name when his call for the needed items isnt answered. Example: I need 3k coal, but I asked it at the forums and nobody replied on my request. Then I look through the list of members of the cooperation to find out wheter there are some good miners available to work for me. I offer my target a contract for the 3k coal at 95% of the maxprice (for instance), and he can decide wheter hes going to work for me or not. All contracts offered are being shown in a topic as well, it gets a good view of what players are available and what players are at work for some1 else at the moment. You can also find out who work for big money and what players work for smaller wages and of course what loads they accept. When the contract is not accepted it should also be displayed in the topic, then you see wheter a player has a border on for instance the quantity or the price of the job. I hope Tip.it will help by providing a forum-departement and of course I also hope to see a lot of people joining the cooperation!
