  1. Hi, this is my first guide (so hopefully you'll like it  )(intended for p2p, but if some of you f2p are resourceful you can use certain areas of this guide)(Note:the guide has been edited, with some extra info) Don't have alot of cash? But still wanna get some levels? Then this guide is for you! Contents ~Combat ~Ranged ~Prayer ~Magic ~Agility ~Farming ~Herblore ~Woodcutting ~Fishing ~Mining ~Hunter ~Firemaking ~Fletching ~Cooking ~Crafting ~Slayer ~Runecrafting ~Smithing ~Construction There will also be certain areas of the guide that will tie in with each other EG: woodcutting with firemaking and fletching. [hide=Combat] COMBAT Aaaah combat, the group of skills that gains you respect in game, the higher level you are the more respect you gain (unless your a level 3 skiller). Combat is based on these 7 skills: -Attack -Strength -Defence -Prayer<-This will be explained in more detail further on in guide -Mage<-This will be explained in more detail further on in guide -Ranged<-Will be explained more -Hitpoints Attack,Strength, Defence and Hitpoints are pretty much all the same. Kill enough monsters and your level will slowly increase. There is an investment of gp at the beginning of combat but to keep it costless you are going to have to train on monsters that require no food. Here are a few: Experiments Rock crabs Any monsters that are lower than your level that will do hardly any damage. So you do not have to pay for food! Pest control [/hide] [hide=Ranged] RANGED Just train on monsters that will not hit you highly, best way to make this skill costless is make your own arrows using skills and have AVA's accumulator this will get 75% of your arrows back to you (I don't know much about it, as i am not a quest person) Again pest control is best free training, just make sure you can hit 50 zeal quickly. BURY ALL BONES FROM THIS AS IT WILL GIVE YOU PRAYER XP [/hide] [hide=Prayer]Prayer Hopefully you have been listening to me and burying all them bones from killing and trapping monsters. You will be using combat skills to get free pray xp. The best bones to get for prayer without using food are big bones from hill giants. There are 2 places to camp out and kill and then bury for this. On way to woodland (I said you'd never return calm down it's close) There is a nice group of hill giants here usually empty. Taverly dungeon There are 3 hill giants here, usually empty. If you want to get prayer xp, without fighting your going to have to go to into the wild. There are a lot of re spawns of bones here, and some big bones as well. Just pick up and bury, wear boots of lightness and spotted/spottier cape and just run around picking and burying. You not wanting to bury? You want to use the ectofuntus because of the higher prayer xp? Simple kill level 53 ogres just east of castle wars, collect the bones and bank them. ECTOFUNTUS-You must of done Ghost's ahoy to use this method. -Withdraw: +9 Big bones +9 Buckets +9 pots +1 ectophail ~#~You must have ghost speak necklace on -Empty ectophail, refill it. -Go down to the slime and fill all 9 buckets. -Empty ectophail to top and refill -Go up a floor and grind bones. -Go back down and worship ecto -Walk/tele to bank -Repeat This method is good, fast and worth it if you want bank the bones. Guilded altar I am unsure of this method but it is meant to be better than ecto if anyone knows please post.[/hide] [hide=Magic]Magic To start off from level one, do witch's potion and imp catcher quest this will get you too level 10 for free! From here to level 55 you must spend some money, best spells to do on a budget are strike spells. Do earth strikes till level 13 and then fire strikes till level 55. It is best to get a fire/earth/air staff to cut down the cost of runes. Best place to cast these spells are: Low level monsters that will allow high hits = More mage xp Once you get 55 mage, you are ready for free or maybe even profitable mage xp. (Never buy nats and yew longs to alch, you will be losing 122 gp every 3 seconds! to 146.6k an hour!) Two things to do: Method 1 (70+ Fletch needed) -Buy yew logs 290-300 each -Buy bowstrings 150-180 each (at seers spinning wheel or lumby spinning wheel/bank) -Buy nats 280-300 each (You can buy them 220-270 ea from Ali Morrisane in al kharid, Yanille 220-270 each<--you need 66 mage, or mage arena rune seller) -Just make your longs and alch Method 2: -Buy yew longs 580-600 each or mage longs 1.3k each -Buy pure essence 70-80 each, and make nats. -Alch your yew longs, this should bring you in a profit of atleast 98 gp per alch =), much better. Tip for alching: Press shift 5 times, click mouse and use mouse keys. Just position mouse over High-alchemy, press 5 and press 5 again on your yew/mage long. Will be getting pics soon, on how to alch. [/hide] [hide=Agility]Agility Agility, theres something about this skill. It is not the most popular throughout RuneScape, but you want fast run restore times for next to nothing right? Start at Gnome Stronghold Keep going until level 35, and then to barbarian course. Easy to get to with games necklace. Bring some food. Keep going here until 40-45, and it's time for Brimhaven agility course. Bring about 1k and cake from thieving. Just run around tagging pillars, and collecting tickets. (I think a pair of the new karamja gloves give more xp when you cash in tickets) Note:Whenever your doing agility courses keep your hp below 20 so when you fail an obstacle you'll only take 2-3 damage, preserving more food.[/hide] [hide=Thieving]Thieving Thieving costless if your careful. Best to start at cake stalls in ardougne (wear Armour because market guards will hit you without it) and bank all cake, carry on until level 38-40. Then go to draynor and pickpocket master farmers, keep all the seeds except for barley/hops. You can use some of the food here as they stun you, and hit 3. Keep going until level 65, so you unlock the summer section of sorcerer's garden. Just bring some empty beer glasses and a pestle and mortar, negotiate the maze and pick the squ'irk fruit, you'll also get 70 farming xp, you could bank these juice and cash them in to osman and your level will shoot up, or cash in when your full. You can also get herbs from here but they aren't that good.[/hide] [hide=Farming]Farming I myself don't know much about farming, but it ties in with alot of other skills: Combat, slayer, thieving, woodcutting and herblore. Seeds are obtainable by: Theiving Generally killing monsters (Eg: Moss giants) Woodcutting, nests from trees (You can increase your chance of getting nests by wearing a strung rabbit foot) If you've been doing sorcerer's garden you should have got some farming xp there, but otherwise. Pick up all the seeds you can from combat/slayer training. Thieving Keep seeds from thieving farmers. Woodcutting. Keep the seeds from birds nest, as they can be high level seeds. Herblore: When you grow your herbs/seconds you can use them for herblore and then sell the pots. The magic secatuers, from a fairy tale part 1, they give a 10% increase of produce harvested. Just grow seeds, and use the products for compost. You can buy pineapples from charters to get super compost, and increase your produce harvest even more, and super compost will give you xp as well.[/hide] [hide=Herblore]Herblore To start herblore you must have done druid ritual. Herblore is a tricky skill to get up without spending cash but alot easier than construction. The magic monster for free levels is chaos druids. These are in taverly dungeon and edgeville dungeon. Just kill these and id the herbs, and keep them all even the gaum, marrentill, tarromin and harralander. level 3-19 Just id all the herbs you get from druids and bank the ones you can't id. 19-31 Go to lumby swamps with 26 gaums, and collect swamp tar in groups of 15, and make gaum tar. 31-39 Repeat tar, but use marrentill instead. 39-44 Make tarromin tar until 44 44+ Make harralander tar. There are 2 reasons to make tar. 1)It gives more xp than it would in pots 2)Can be used with salamanders for strength/range/mage xp Note:you can sell the tar but unsure for how much. Just keep collecting unids and id them and grow seconds from farming, sell the pots or use them. this should make you allot of money. I have found a new method of getting costless levels in herblore, and it is by making quite decent pots (Super attacks, and super strength) Making Super attacks: -Buy irits 1.6-2k each -Buy vials and eye of newts 200-250 each That brings the total cost upto 2.5k MAXIMUM, now look for people selling super strength pots at 4.5k each. So that will bring the total up to 7k. You can now sell these as "pure" sets in any pking worlds in edge bank, 7-8k each Making super strength: -Buy kwuarms 4.5-4.8k each -Buy limps 800-1k each, and vials 200-250 each That brings the total to max 6050 gp, buy super attacks 1k each, and sell these sets 7-8k each [/hide] [hide=Woodcutting]Woodcutting Very simple skill, as it simply gathering. It needs a tiny investment; maximum 20k, for a rune axe (about 3mil for dragon axe, pointless in my eyes) To start bring this inventory: (knife there for fletching the normal logs into shafts) Or this inventory: (tinderbox there so you can cut, then burn your logs.) Woodcutting spots. Normal trees East of draynor, near jail Oak trees: Outside of castle wars Willow trees: Barbarian assault Draynor Yew tress: Edgeville Seers Fallador Note:You should bank all the logs you get, so you can use them for firemaking or fletching. [/hide] [hide=Fishing]Fishing Another gathering skill. I'll get right into it. The best fishing xp in game is fly fishing, also the fish from this are good cooking xp but that will be explained in cooking. First thing to do is get level 20 fishing for the trout, salmon comes in at level 30. There are only two places (that i know of) to fly fish with bank near. Barbarian village There are two fishing spots here they move occasionally but not too far. There are two banks to choose from varrock west or edge. I am unsure or which is closer. Shilo village This is the closest fly fishing spot in game, but there are disadvantages. When the fishing spot moves, it moves, sometimes too the other side of river, sometimes to an un-fishable spot very west. Fly fishing needs a minor investment about 5-10k. You should buy/collect 1k feathers (price 5-8 ea) and fish and sell the fish (trout=50 each, salmon=70 each) Then buy more feathers.[/hide] [hide=Mining]Mining The last real gathering skill. If you are not yet 41 mining you should be aiming to mine in these locations till 60. Varrock mine Close to varrock east bank Rimmington mine Semi-close to fally east bank Ardougne mine Quite close to ardougne south bank, and a good place to mine coal before mining guild. A rune pickaxe is essential for good mining, you can sell some of the ore you have stocked up, to buy one. 60 mining,it's time to join them dwarves underground. The best place to mine coal in game just mine coal and if it comes up mith and hold into it, or sell it and 400 each and buy iron ore.[/hide] [hide=Hunter]Hunter (bury all the bones from this if you want pray xp) This is the most exciting semi-gathering skills (it's semi because most of the time you have no use for what you have caught) Hunter requires a minute investment less than 1k to start. Firstly you want to buy yourself 5 bird snares to last you until level 43. You are going to catch crimson swifts until level 9. when you get level 9, head back to yanille and buy about 15 butterfly jars and a butterfly net. Now go to the woodland hunting area (Fairy ring code AKQ) and bring 5k a chisel and an axe if you plan on staying long. Catch copper long tails until level 15, and start to lay snares and catch ruby harvests. At level 20 you can lay 2 traps! Keep going until level 37, and you can start making dead fall traps for [puncture]ly kebbits. It's best to stop catching butterflies and follow this set up. Cut logs for dead fall (axe), use bird meat from snares for baiting and use claws with chisel for fletch xp. When you reach 43 you should go to falconry which is a little east and just power on until level 63. You can now leave this place and never return. Buy 10 box traps (you never know) and just catch red chinchompa's, these are stackable! and you can either sell them 600-700 ea but they are much better for ranged xp!.[/hide] [hide=Firemaking] Firemaking Really it is one of the most pointless skill but omg it has the best cape/cape emote. This is a straight forward skill to get up without spending, but only if you kept your logs from woodcutting.(You can sell these willows 20-25 each, and then go to any f2p world with the cash and tinderbox, to lumby general store. Buy a load of willows as they always have 1K+ in stock, and just burn them) If you'd rather burn the logs you have obtained the hardest part of firemaking is finding a nice spot to burn your logs. Al kharid duel arena fally Port Phasmatys You need to of done ghost's ahoy for this. Varrock west Seers Happy burning![/hide] [hide=Fletching]Fletching One of my favorite skills, I don't know why though. Anyway this is for you not about me. Hopefully you kept the logs from woodcutting. I told you to bring a knife to normal trees, so when you cut a full load of logs you could cut them into arrow shafts. Hold onto these and keep going until level 40, willow longs. Cut-Fletch-Sell: Go to catherby and just west of the dock are some willow trees, bring a knife. -Cut a load of willow logs -Fletch them into willow longs(u) -Run to dock and sell your willow longs(u) 24 gp ea to trade charter. -Run back to trees and repeat -You'll need to make about 17k willows longs(u) (about 408k there!) Alternatively At level 40 you are capable of fletching willow longs (u), you can buy willow logs 20-30 each, and fletch them and sell them 40 gp each!, so instead of losing money you are making! If you want faster xp but with a lower profit, Maple longs(u) are good for you 55+, simply buy the logs 70-80 each. Fletch them and sell them for 70-80 each! Ultimate Yews are by far the best xp from here, easier to get than mage logs and more profit. 4 ways to approach: Method 1: (I hate this way) -Simply buy logs 280-300 each, and fletch into yew longs(U) -Sell 280-300 or trade for more logs. Method 2: (Don't really like this one either) -Cut yew logs into longs(u) -String with bowstrings -Sell yew longs 580-600 each Method 3:OMG i love this way. -Buy yew longs(u) 280-300 each, or buy logs and trade for them. -Buy bowstrings at seers, or lumby 150-180 each -String like mad! (DO NOT DO THIS INSANELY TAKE A BREAK OR YOU WILL GET RSI [WRIST CRAMP]) =As you can string at least 2k an hour, you will get at least 100k xp and 200k cash. Trust me it's how i made 10 mil. Method 4: (Slow and steady) (Do this in seers) -Cut your own logs -Fletch them -Pick flax and spin it -String bows and sell Lower level fletchers 40-55+ Fletching is the most common skill on members, so if you do not get 99, don't be discouraged. Sit up on your chair and wear that pixelian cape! Note:Best place to fletch is castle wars as bank is one click![/hide] [hide=Cooking]Cooking Cooking is a simple skill to get up but it can be costly. So the only way to get it up without loosing money is use the fish you have caught and best thing to do is avoid fire in rogues den as ranges give a much lowerchance of burning the food. Catherby Edgeville Cooking gauntlets also will also help you cook more of your food.[/hide] [hide=Crafting] Crafting[/color] To start crafting you will need to spend about less than 10k to get to level 15 crafting -Go to lumby cow field and kill cows, and bring some cash, needle and thread -When you get a full load of cow hide go to the tanner in al kharid and tan it into soft leather. -Make leather gloves, and drop on way back to cows. Now when you get level 15 it is time to go to seers village. There are two ways to approach flax at level 15+. Method 1: -Pick flax -Walk to spinning wheel -Spin flax into bowstrings and then bank -Repeat! Method 2: -Buy flax 100 gp ea -Withdraw flax from seers bank -Walk to spinning wheel -Spin your flax -Bank and repeat You can use these strings for fletching or sell 180 ea atleast on fletching forums. Spinning is a good/cheap way to get craft levels and you can also make some money. Just make sure to sell for the highest price possible. You can have fletching forum up at same time, because sometimes people buy 200 gp each and be QUICK! Fletching forum is fast[/hide] [hide=Slayer] SLAYER Slayer is a very simple skill. The only way i can think of getting it up without spending cash is to do tasks from burthorpe master, he gives simple tasks, and if you think the task will be hard ask him for another, or you could use the fish you've caught and cooked. Remember bury bones. Keep and herbs and seeds you get! [/hide] [hide=Runecrafting]Runecrafting You must of done rune mysteries to do runecrafting. Pretty simple skill, needs a tiny investment for the tiara to enter ruins. But it is one of the best money making skills when you get started. To get started without spending cash is to get some free essence from world 99, or mine it yourself. Hopefully you'll have 30 mining for pure essence, mine the ess or collect however much you need. Go and make the runes you want. Remeber runes over body need pure essence to be made. Abyss The infamous abyss, you may think how is it possible to make this costless without glories. Truth is no one can, well maybe Jagex can if they move abyss near bank. But there are two ways of keeping costs down. Ancients -Withdraw all essence (from edge bank) and runes for paddewwa teleport. -Run, and tele into abyss -Get into centre and go to your portal. -Craft runes, and teleport to edge dungeon -Walk a little south, go up ladder and walk to edge bank -Repeat! =Good method, no glories but you eat through law runes. Glory/duel rings -Equip ring of dueling -Withdraw all essence -Run, and tele into abyss -Get into centre and go to your portal. -Craft runes and tele to castle wars, bank your runes and withdraw glory and use it to tele to edge. -Deposit glory and withdraw ess. =This method is still quite fast, only about 10-20 seconds longer, and stops you losing a glory but these days glories can be easily replaced but pouches take a long time to get. There is also another method similar to paddewwa, where you craft your runes, teleport to house and use mounted glory to tele to edge. I am not too sure about this method but if anyone knows, please post. [/hide] [hide=Smithing] Smithing An over looked skill, but who else is going to smith them ores? No, not doric the dwarf. To start it is best to make bronze projectiles(Knives, dart tips[<-Tourist trap needed] arrow heads), smelt your tin and copper into bars and smith into projectiles till level 35, and hold onto what you have smithed. If you want you can sell the bronze bars 100-200 gp each, but there are few buyers. Now that your level 35, do the dwarf cannon quest and get yourself a cannon mould. Two ways to approach level 35+. Method 1: Buy steel bars and then make into cannonballs. -Buy 1000 steel bars =550-600gp each= -Smelt into 4k cannonballs -Sell 3.4k cannonballs 180 each and keep the rest for ranged! Method 2: Mine iron ore and twice as much coal. -Smelt your iron and coal -Then smelt the bars into cannonballs -Keep all the cannonballs you deserve it, go kill some monsters in multi-combat areas. Note: I told you to make projectiles for a reason, attach shafts and feathers to the arrow heads, and feathers to darts(Tourist trap needed) nothing needed for knives, and you have free ranged xp![/hide] [hide=Construction] Construction The cheapest way i have found of getting construction up is about spending less than 200k, i've tried. To start from level one. -Get yourself a games necklace -Tele to barbarian outpost -Just north of the agility arena are a few normal plank re spawns. -There is a deposit box in the barbarian assault -Get 40 iron bars, and make them into iron nails -Make crude wooden chairs in your house till level 16 level 16 -Build a workshop for 10k -It's time to spend about 100k =( -Buy 260 oak logs, and make sure u have 78k -Simply run back and forth from saw mill, making your logs into planks -Make your planks into plumbing stands until level 33 level 33+ It is now time for free construction xp! You must have level 10 mining for this. Limestone Simply bring a pick and a chisel, mine a full load of limestone and then bank it. -When you have enough make limestone fireplaces in your house.[/hide] I hope you enjoyed the guide , please leave feedback. [hide=Screenshots!]And heres some strange pictures I have taken: Over stocked chaos- Pig in a wall- Elite time- Swiftswitch owned- [/hide]
  2. a great free way to get to lvl 10 magic quickly is to do 2 quest, imp catcher and witchs potion.
  3. do you wait for crystal bow to change into seed, or do u change bows at a certain charge, because of the -4 bonus each time a charge is lost
  4. Hey, it's me again you know the crystal bow loses 4 bonus each time you use 250 shots, at what point do you swap the bows, because in the vid i couldn't see if it were a 2,5 or 6.
  5. I was just wondering do you use rapid or accurate attack style?
  6. What ranged lvl should i have before i attempt fire caves? :ohnoes:
  7. Go to ape atoll when u land off the boat and put sigil on then, and then see what happens thats wat i did
