Since it probably wont be f2p, the update is going to be absolutely worthless. Almost all wars are fought in f2p, and most non-members wont want to change just because of a war arena. It will probably only benefit the few p2p clans and rsb clans.

thing is we have to look at the war arena, and decide if we realy want it.
PKRI would be next to destroyed. Sure the arena could allow returning, but the whole point of a run in is to show off who can return fastest and longest. Also Im guesing jagex would find some way to drain money using it.
Also this brings us to how will people be alowed in. Surely only 2 clans will want to fight, how are they going to do that. They could create a rooster system like barb assult thats all fine if your a small clan. Just imagine a clan like corruption/df/di trying to do a rooster it wont work.
Id rather jagex just tweak the wilderness. I.E Get rid of the flashing glitch. Allow team capes in f2p etc
The whole point of the arena would be to eliminate War Crashing, which I think most clans would want. Pking wouldnt be destroyed, since its "dishonorable" to crash Wars anyway. It would also cause more fights, I would think.
The money drain would be the fact that rune is lost in the war arena and no one would pick it up. Which is good, because there is alot in the economy already.

My clan gives me quite a profit out of pking while having the most fun in RS I've had for a while. Clans like DF and Cor are pretty boring in my opinion though.
I dont know how you could call any clan like that boring unless your in one. Events every night isnt bad, since Ive been in corr ive died 30 times or so at pkris yet im still at roughly the same rune sets I was when i joined because of the unoficals and p2p events.
Id say smaller clans are worse to be in rune wise, your seen as easy targets thus hunted more.
I can tell you first-hand that smaller clans are at a huge disadvantage.
I dont see why his opinion of Cor and DF being boring clans is incorrect. After all it is an opinion, right? Pretty sure Patbag is in RoT though anyways.

If this is a p2p only feature, it will be useless for quite a few clans.
If it is f2p as well, IRC will take a big hit.

Some players are going to take up DS's name & fill it with, well, newbies? I'm sure they would be flamed & hunted until they shut down.500M and a p hat says some newbs that are like lev 40 take the name and make a clan and be wannabesYou think that DS was the first clan to use that name? The name was passed around alot before they came around. But you are right, if anyone did take there name (Whether they knew about the clan or not), they would probably be hunted. All because they were the #1 clan

My first clan was Clan Forever. We opened up in November and closed shop in September the next year. We used to recruit alot here, but not many of our members posted in CD. Im not talking about the Clan Forever that recruits now, they took our name after we died.

The Easter Madness TET event got crashed by TMRD (The Mighty Red Dragons). We were supposed to have a wildy egg fight using wind strikes, just for fun. We were near demonic ruins I believe, when they attacked us. The bad part is that they're a 110+ clan. That was a really low thing to do, and that clan has no honour. I mean, I was level 75, and I get attacked by a 115? What's the fun in that? Ruin somebody's fun? Eternal shame will rest in the home of TMRD.
First off, dont talk about them badly just because they did one bad thing. Eternal shame? No honour? Do you even know what that means?
Im sure if you guys asked for an apology they would, they probably didnt even know you guys were having a wind strike war. But the wild is no rules, they can kill anyone they want. Im not really sure what you expected to happen.

The Clan Community, made up of the Top Five clans? The Clan Community is more of the top 30 rather than just the Top Five. Even though the Top Five are the strongest, that doesn't necessarily mean they entirely control the Clan Community.
Yes, actually. The top 5 clans are the biggest flamers, and are also the biggest clans. If they see something new come up, they just flame it. Then everyone else agrees with them because they dont want to be called No-Honor.

The Clan Community set the rules & the Clan Community follows it--that's civilized.Theres no honour and no honour in this game, its just how you play it and your way of playing it.Those honour rules are set by players not jagex eh. Dun blindly follow what everyone says.

And who is the Clan Community? The Top 5 clans.
Its not like all the clans get together and have formal votes. You do what the all the Top Clans do, or you get flamed. I dont see how thats civilized.

Being #1 doesn't make them exactly honourable. For all we know they could have crashed clan wars under our noses.
Actually, they were the number #1 AC clan, most other clans dont even offer.

We think that some clans may need our help with there parties being set up or even fighting to the death side by side with your clan, our clan has spent up to 10 hours training and perfecting there skills in Survellience, (to keep enemy from surprise attacks) Carrying Huge amounts of Cargo to other distant places to help with parties and celebrations. We also follow most orders without question, we are soliders willing to do your bidding.
So we are waiting for 3 clans to signup for us to help you out a bit

u expect DS to be back to its strongest? maybe if u saw TDL when it closed and was reborn, it wasn't as strong as it was but who cares... they were still a good clan. Same with Exercitum

I already said, it doesn't need to be as strong as it once was. DS doesn't need 200+ members if they are made again. 200+ members doesn't help them win a war anyway. Its teamwork...
DS could end up starting with like 80 members and end up like that for 6 months for example, they could then end up on the top 10 rank with just 80 members but they'll never be as good as it once was due to the fact that their old members either quit or joined another clan.
You should consider changing what you wrote earlier, as it made no sense. You said that DS doesnt need to be.. Which I asked what you ment.
But seeing as you posted again, it looks like we have the exact same view on the matter. Good work!

From what I heard, alot of them are planning on going to the other Top 5 clans, but some say there just quitting or staying away from clans.
