And the best thing about this is... cause Jagex took out unbalanced trading, you can't lose! Well you can, but you won't be able to pay up :P Safe bet. i have 2 words for you payment plan What's a payment plan? Not IRL, like in game, or was that a joke? Sorry not sleeping does this to me.

Ok, although no 'new item' is actually mentioned. It is insinuated. However I do love your idea of releasing a whole new dungeon full of slayer monsters at one time, although I dare say people would still find something to moan about. E.g 'They're only releasing 5 new monsters, not 3000. WTF Jagex you suck!!!'
-
I also hope it isn't The hatchet came from a boss monster, so should the pick IMO.
-
Interesting concept indeed. Nice, I really like that idea. Definitely one for the front page suggestions. Of course, it can't be limited just to fishing equipment, which is why I think I like this idea so much.
-
Yeah. We've got Armadyl for Ranged, Bandos for Melee, but nothing in that class for Magic. Magic Armour would be good. Doesb't need to be in that price range, but atleast in that quality range. Unfortunately, Bandos, and Armadyll is god armour, which would not become available from a level 114 monster requiring 78 Slayer.

It's quite easy really, all you have to do is not enjoy them. I think they're slow, annoying to kill effectively and a waste of resources. If I want crimsons so badly, abby demons aren't too bad for crimsons, plus those whips aint bad either. : If you can't kill them efficiently, you're either not strong enough or you don't know what the heck you're doing. I bring a unicorn and I never even have to turn on my prayer OR bring super pots. You're allowed to dislike them, but please don't say they are unefficient to kill. They are very efficient and the best charms in the game next to rock lobsters. Efficiency is due to own personal opinion. I find them tiresome to kill, and remarkably dull. Try not to dispute about something OFF TOPIC on my own thread. If you don't have anything intelligent to say, get out.

I'm sorry I have to agree with Magzar here... I don't think it'll work... at all. That's just a way to cause unnecessary inflation and increased junk trading. Plus... a Dragon Kite from a monster that requires 78 slayer to kill... I know I don't wanna start a conversation on the requirements... but that just shouldn't happen... ever! It would be a bigger failure than the dragon platebody. And Purewcnub, boots (in general) are always going to have worse stats and a lower price than shields comprised of the same metal. In comparison with a level 83 slayer monster dropping the boots, the level 78 WILL NOT drop a kiteshield.
-
AHHHHH, well mr 'I have a quest cape', you would know that wouldn't you? :P Heehee
-
Point taken, although I NEVER said they couldn't post, I just pleaded that it didn't become another discussion about the requirements.
-
I like that idea, it does seem likely seeing as the new monster seems to be straying towards the magic side of things. I've also decided to credit people =]
-
Thankyou money for bringing this post back on topic. I fear it was straying too far. Although you have edited your post I thought it was actually a good idea and you can't believe how glad I am for you to have justified yourself rather than giving 10 million people the chance to hi-jack my thread with 'ZOMG SAILING! LOZLZLZLZ!LL!LZLZ!' I saw that postbag from the hedge; it was very interesting and even had a good old Nessy reference for us English people to smile at. However I beilieve it to be a coincidence, as Jagex have already stated where the monster is to reside.

Yay, there should be a herd (an albeit small herd) of us clutching our conventional weapons with decent uses other than waterfiends *cough* zamorakian spear *cough*. We'll go around and kill decent monsters that don't annoy the living [bleep] out of us.

Although this being absolutely amazing in terms of cheap mage training, I don't see it happening tbh. Although it might push up the price of blood runes again as water wave could be an excellent spell to cast. It could casue the game to be slightly un balanced, making mage an easy and much cheaper skill to obtain 99 in. I do very much like the idea of a ranging shield. That would actually be awesome. Range do need something to train with. Mage armour is definitely needed also, as rangers now have armadyll. yeah but jagex are not going to give high mage armour in comparison with Armadyl from a level 78 slayer monster. If anything cos they state this is a water based monster it will either use water mage or range attacks, and if thats the case its hardly new we have that with waterfiends. Being possibly the only person in the game who HATES waterfiends, I can gladly say this: I have blocked waterfiend tasks and have no intention of ever unblocking them. I'd rather get 99 summoning through gold charms than having to kill waterfiends. I didn't mean a mage armour on par with armadyll; from a level 78 that would be rediculous. What I mean is a better mage armour than we have now. Although, as stated in my first (edited) post, I doubt mage armour highly, as one monster would never be able to drop an entire set. I hope you realise i'm not arguing with you, i'm a nice guy (honestly), i'm not gonna start an argument on my own post. I jsut feel as if there was a miscommunication between my words and yours.

Right, i've searched the forums and can only find one thread regarding the upcoming slayer monster, which has unfortunately turned into a discussion about the level requirements for the monster. I decided I wanted an intelligent thread with ideas on WHAT the monster could drop. NOTHING ABOUT THE LEVEL REQUIREMENT PLEASE. I'm a level 89 Slayer, yet, still excited about the prospect of a NEW monster. I don't care about the level requirements, there's a new monster to train slayer on and a brand new item so SH. Any ideas on the item? Good ones posted here... One I have already read about on the aforementioned post was a kind of 'Black Mask' for ranging. 1. Some form of Ranged stat boosting shield. (Demoliboy2) 2. A new mage armour (although difficult to give one monster an entire set.) (Guitar_God_2007) 3. A mage shield. (Pulli23) 4. A mage equivalent of the Black Mask (darkjab) - Hey atleast it would provide a viable training method to stop people no-life alching untill 99 and then whilst complaining about it. 5. Magical Fishing Equipment or skiller tool to increase a certain skill. (Langer) 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.

Goraks don't suck... Common misconception. I tried them once thinking they'd be rubbish. Take the fairy ring code (DIR) take your trusty guthans that everybody calls me a noob for yet still has never failed me *ahem*, super pot up and you can practically afk. Pro's: You get millions of gems, (almost one a kill) remarkably quick and easy for their level, fairy ring from zanaris is incredibly close to bank so you can bank all those gems =] Hardly anyone is ever there. Con's: Not amazing drops other than some gems.Non-focused training through guthans.
-
Slayer rings are in every way, shape and form, awesomely useful!!! Broad bolt fletching is pretty cool for kurask tasks, you can make quite a lot of broad bolts from their drops I'd say if you're seriously considering training slayer then buy everything you can and then spend any further points on the 10k slayer exp after that. EDIT: This all said under the assumption that you have 75 crafting already?
-
Well thanks for the replies... seeing as i've been doing even training all the way upto 90 I might as well carry on going through to 99 and get 3 capes at once =]=] =]=]

Hello there. I'm sick sk8er 1, a not so often poster on the tip.it forums but some of you may have seen my useless topics that died after 3 or 4 posts. This is just a quick question... I've been training my combat stats (attack, strength, defence) pretty much evenly all the way upto 90. After 90 I wasn't sure what to do, so i've ben training my attack only and am currently 92... Should I train to 99 and then work strength or defence or should I carry on working them evenly? What are the pro's and con's of both?

In which case jimv, I am sorry if I insulted you with the age assumption. It's nice to know that Runescape has a 'mature' age range. But to change Runescape's monster's to appear only to certain players in the way that farming patches do, would take up, what I assume would be a LOT of valuable space, which could be used for other area's of gameplay. Also would raise a fairly big problem with bosses and the whole teaming aspect of the game. I find the competition aspect of the game fun in some ways, but that is just my own opinion I suppose, and to an extent, yes I do get annoyed with people stealing training spots, so I feel your pain, (occasionally). Unfortunately, however, I fail to see how Jagex could make this aspect of the game practical. But seeing as I have FINALLY finished smelting and smithing 26k of iron ores into iron knives, consequently I am in a fairly good mood, so I apollagise.

That was a pointless sentence with no meaning, that proved... actually nothing. RIGHT! I normally stay fairly quiet on forums... Reason being, that for every person that agrees with anyone else, there are normally 10 or so who will disagree over the slightest thing... But this... was offensive. As the internet is fairly anonymous, and without an I.P tracker you're never gonna know who I am, then I don't mind saying that i'm "popping" this so called 'zombie drug' tackling with depression and insomnia... And let me tell you, it's not really funny. Not what you said... but more so, the casual context... Have a heart mate, and don't delve into situations you're probably too young to understand. This is nothing like what Jagex is doing! So you're saying... for example... (I'm totally unaware of how many people play this game, probably more) Let's say 1,000,000, you expect Jagex to create a server for each character so that he/she can do whatever they want with no competition? Rediculous!

The Blog of Outsanity
sicksk8er1 replied to Outsanity's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Nice to see another Theatre person on RS tbh. Your story sounds very similar to mine; I will give you a quick shortened version so I won't bore you. I'm 19, joined approx. 4 years ago, (have been on and off on more than one occasion though) so my stats are nowhere near as good as yours. I'm currently in Uni, training to be an actor, if I don't make it then I will teach. Sound familiar? lol However I have performed in London West End (English equivalent of Broadway) as part of a Youth Music Theatre group, which was like a dream come true tbh. It'd be great to chat with another drama freak, so add me if you want :P. My RS name is Sick Sk8er 1. OT: Amazing blog, very well laid out, some awesome pictures, and good luck with it all =] -
Hello there... (HI Sick sk8er 1!!!) Here is my 'Barely Started' Vyrewatch Blog. (OH WOW! I can't wait to read it) Why thankyou, i'm flattered! Here goes. I am currently on a mission to aid the Myreque with ridding the world of their evil vampyric beasts. I have decided to take the Ivadis Flail and kill as many as possible of the Vyrewatch as I can. Every 50 corpses I collect I will stop to burn them, as every 50 corpses your skill with the Ivandis flail is increased. I am aiming for 500 as this is apparently where the skill with your flail reaches its highest possible level. What follows is a tip.it link to the rewards from burning their corpses. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=1 Obviously i'm hoping for a few decent items to make me a nice profit, although at the moment I am unsure as to whether doing this is a good money maker or not. So this forum post is mainly to show a blog of my goal; 500 Vyre Corpses. But also, it dawned on me that NOBODY kills these these things and I really wondered whether nobody knew about them or whether they just aren't worth killing, so please, feel free to discuss this point. Also, feel free to voice your opinion and stop me if these really aren't worth killing, because i'm only experimenting at the moment and would rather get stopped before wasting my time. I will keep you posted here how many out of 500 I have killed so far in multiples of 50's. So far: 250/500 Corpses obtained. 200/500 Corpses burnt. Notable Drops: Tooth half of a key x 4 Loop half of a key Snapdragon seed x 5 Runite bar x 3 Rune platelegs Blood Talisman x 3 Black Dragonhide Set *These drops may not seem like much, but there are a lot of alch-able drops, commonly adamant armour or rune spears.* EDIT: I have noticed and thought it was worth mentioning that with every 50 corpses burnt, the skill level with the flail is dramatically increased! I am now hitting a lot better than at first. The "Help me to help you" part in the title is because if the effort versus rewards for killing Vyrewatch is good then maybe it would crop up a suggestion for a guide on the tip.it site. Thanks, and feel free to keep this thread bumped =] Special thanks to: Steroidz01 (IRL friend) Kings Pawn12 (IRL friend) pmoney15: 1st poster =D> EDIT: Will be adding pictures when possible!
